@@ey7290 not exactly like this LMAO, open your eyes, he Is talking about making the chicane further so we can maybe see more overtakes in the races, in the actual chicane there Isn't space for 2 cars as well so it doesn't make any difference
This is a better layout than the one they had, in my opinion. Having that ramp right before Tabac is frightening, and this layout would at least make sure that no one was hitting it just as they were braking for the corner because they'd already be slow enough from the chicane to get over it more easily. Then again, I'm only familiar with old Monaco from videos of mods like this, and so I don't know how dangerous that ramp actually was for the cars at that time. I just know that it turns into a rally jump in most Monaco mod videos.
You do know that this old monaco didnt had any of the swimming pool or la rascasse? later down the line they actually extended the track, it can be confusing at first but the old layout would kinda be like driving backwards down nowadays pitlane and taking a hairpin midway through
Great video because the idea is to make changes to the track layout similar to this 1972 layout! The tunnel exit would be bigger and the 'S' of the pool isto changed. Tis layout can help F1 decide.
Oh God I really hope they don't do that. If they want more Monaco overtakes, make the cars smaller, not get some useless 1972 layout that clearly didn't work back then, so it wont work now at all
This was more or less the standard layout from 1929-1973. The unique thing about 1972- was,the pitlane next to the chicane, with a traffic light exit! The chicane was slowed in 1968 following Bandini's accident. In 1972-it pissed down all race!
That was also the last time you saw Gas Works hairpin like that it'll be re constructed in 1973. So many changes on tracks in 1972 including the addition of the chicanes in Monza. You can see that actual layout here with François Cevert with his Tyrrell. ruclips.net/video/tbZBeu9hncM/видео.html
Glad I went to Monaco in 1970 when it was still fun. Getting rid of Gasometer took away a precarious braking zone that heavily influenced the outcome of the GP the year I was there. Have pictures of the skidmarks😊 Thanks for the video. The pit entrance is very clear now
What was interesting about that is that they went round Sainte-Devote then went down like a little side street that F1 doesn't use. That 'side street' is actually what's being used here (from 0:54 to 0:57). Down the ramp, but heading in the opposite direction. They then did a hairpin around the modern chicane and returned to the left-hander at Tabac and continue from there
If this layout is applied currently, we might be able to see more overtakes on this track.
Absolutely not, you can barely get 1 car through that chicane

I call this the Bruh-naco
*"bruh sound effect no. #2"*
I rather Bwoah-naco

If it was done the other way around (like in Montreal), it could've kinda worked...

@@racer501_sb Those differences don't affect the ramp on the roadway before Tabacc.
@@GaryWagerslol, the first time I played GPL, that ramp before Tabac was so annoying for me

@@R9naldo there's no chance they would make the cars smaller for one race man. it's possible they can change the layout or at least far more likely

that f1 mod looks beatiful
folks just standing around on the sidewalk, chilling 😂
This layout should be used now as long as they made the chicane wider
The left turn after the tunnell looks lethal imange hitting the alcove dead on at 150 mph, I can see why they changed the track..
Last year before they add the swimming pool section
The final sector as a straight is SO much better. The swimming pool chicane is a fukin death trap…
No heroics into Sainte Devote please
"Bono, the entire car is gone
underwater"
wow there's literally nothing stopping the cars from going straight into the waters🤣🤣
Love the videos
So the pit lane was near the harbour?
Look beauty withour the barriers 😅

What was the reason for the use of this layout?
Can you do the Singapore sling if there is a mod for that?
How about Formula E layout?
I think they cut the whole chicane afrer Sainte Devote
Chicane after sainte devote?? Tf
