Least Bittern singing, if you can call it that!

Least Bittern out in the open and singing, well, sort of......which is pretty neat, you don't see this too often. Least Bittern is a secretive marsh bird that is far more often seen than heard. It is found more commonly in the eastern half of the United States. It occurs in some western states but isn't as common as the eastern half of the United States.

this thing is crazy cute. it looks like a cartoon with those beady little eyes right next to its bigass beak. also the fact that it's called "least bittern" which is a VERY silly-sounding name, at least to me personally. delightful beast
