Thank you for watching my friends! We hope you are enjoying Dr. Steffan Hoffman's travels through the Lands and Provinces of the Empire. As you can see, in the next episode we are going to Ostland where more exploration and adventures await! Let us know what are you enjoying the most about the series and what other ideas we could explore while we are roaming the lands of the Empire. Hope you are having an amazing weekend! 🙌
Absolutely love the series! I really like the narrative framing device, makes it feel more like a living breathing world instead of just a bunch of lore fluff for a game.
@@KS-PNW Thanks for the feedback! It's nice to hear this, as I think traveling through Dr. Steffan Hoffman's eyes opens the doors for many storytelling possibilities within the world. More adventures are coming!
@TheBookofChoyer I hope the god doctor can go back to Kislev for a more in-depth exploration of its people and culture and venture towards the dark lands, mountains of Mourn, and hopefully Grand Cathay
Hochland Long Rifleman: "Snipin's a good job mate." Hochland is one of my favorite provinces of the Empire so it's great to see Steffan travel there in his adventures and show off what the province has in store for visitors.
Whenever I play as Festus Vassalize them. This in turn makes them one of the worst vassals but I like to think I improve their lives somewhat under Nurgles embrace.
All I'm saying is Two units of Hochland Long Rifles will shoot Archaeon off of his horse. Or his manticore. Or kill a Chaos Giant. Or a Norscan Mammoth. Or a whole unit of plate-wearing Chaos Warriors Or knock a Chaos Dragon out of the sky. The End Times came to a stop at the end of a barrel
Makes you realize how silly all of that is, yes? On one hand the Great Game, on the other, a simple bullet or a spell can prevent the Endtimes(and such) ... best to enjoy nice setting and gameplay. Not worry overly much about bigger picture.
@@goransekulic3671 I mean... I think it's reasonable. If they made Archaeon able to survive 160 sniper bullets, I would call BS in the opposite direction lol. The Empire's finest deserve wins too
@goransekulic3671 Tons of units, in lore, are functuonally immune to ranged attacks. Anyone who thinks this isn't just a fun joke is kind of dumb or doesn't know anything about warhamer
Hochland is my favorite province and most of my state troops are painted in green and red! The dense heavy forests, the cultural crossroads, the marksmen, its a fascinating area that's too often overlooked.
It's the openness and the friendly disposition that are the selling points to me. Not to mention their resourcefulness and indomitable spirit. Gah, what can be better than Hochland?
@@RuSosan If I were to guess, because it was founded before they invented guns, and after that it was already in place, and a dwarf never goes back on what his ancestors put in place. Debates on whether to change it or not are still going on this day, I reckon.
Hochland is one of my favourite provinces. I converted a special unit of my archers into Hochland huntsmen, complete with their customary hunting rifles. Always have some Hochlanders scouting for the army.
A bit besides the point, but I do love how the forests of the Empire are named. They are essentially Sahara deserts, where the original name already means the same thing. In this case, Wald is the German word for forest, so having the Drakwald forest and Reikwald forest is really funny to me. That tangent aside, amazing video as always! I really love the impeccable use of the game footage, especially the love to Sigmar's Heirs. Can't play without the provincial state troops anymore. It just fits. Also, the battle and its narration was on point. There is nothing more satisfying to me than barrages of gunfire mowing down enemies. Which is why the game's vanilla balance is silly to me, but whatever. That's what mods are for. Further, I had Sabaton popping into my head at that delightful narration: "Strike at zero hour, with overwhelming firepower! Fueled by the fear in their enemies' eyes.~"
Damn, i am 40 years old. My local video store " PJ videos" had a copy of shadow of the horned rat, and dark omen. the most ridiculous difficult games ever, balance issues for sure. I love the lore and these videos of regions explored are great. also, maybe, more accessible regions have more accounts from other indiviiduals... What ever happened to the Grudgebringer Merc. Army after the horned rat and Nagash?
I love this series so much. It’s a great introduction to warhammer fantasy and dr. Stephen Hoofman of the university of nuln is just great. He went from a who is this guy to a favorite character (incredibly well voice acted) who I feel like I really know. Great work!
Found your channel today and I already have watched/listened to hours of content. Best were the new vlad/first vampire war and the eight peaks videos. Also love the journey of this series.
It has always stuck in my craw that a dirt poor province like Hochland, has it's iconic weapon; the long rifle.....that costs an arm and a leg to produce. I have kind of got around that and given them a high skill in long bows. Of course, some long rifles is on the battlefield, but mostly heavy bows. Has anyone else done this? (This is a beautiful playlist and it gives me so much inspiration. Thank you all for making this.)
Wonderful! Nice voice. Sounds very harmonious. I enjoyed the lore a lot. Unfortunately, CA is not willing to provide us with a DLC with playable empire factions.
I love Hochland! And I hate the Endtimes. Who would've said, eh? They are practically the reciprocal values of each other. I know that there isn't much to talk about Hochland(hence the battle report), but still ... Thank you.
Nice work. I am well aware that is very difficult für native English to pronunce the German word "Hoch" (High) but it has nothing to do with "Hog". There is no K-sound. To match the german "CH" loud you have to raspel strongky like clearing your throat
I wonder if we're ever gonna get one of these for Albion and the other lands/nations of Tilea and Estalia? Not to mention Marienburg which has both a lot and not enough spoken on it. 🤔🤷🏾♂️
I have a Friend that is a Hochland Enjoyer of me the love to mock me, as a Whisenland/Nuln Enjoyer, for the Rifles of this dam'n Weapons! And by Sigmar, i must admit he is right. This Rifles are good Craftsmanship.
