    The 5008 looks great. The interior looks fantastic especially at this price point. I would def consider one especially with that new, more agressive front.

      I agree, you just need to keep in mind that if something goes wrong, the after market support will be woeful. Without a time traveler to advise on its reliability, the risk is too great imo.

    This car has a bit of style and flair compared to much of the opposition but the slightly slab sided look means that interior space is good. Potential buyers with 3+ kids should seriously look at this very attractive offering. I would give the diesel a miss though.

    I've owned one for a year and thought you did a very good job reviewing it, well done. We remove the third row seats most of the time and manage when travelling pack a huge amount of luggage in their place. Do feel that the cabin has a bit of noise resonance and could be a little quieter. Have the petrol engine which doe's an adequate job but in hindsight should have gone for the larger diesel engine.

  • @vinceg9896

    You did not mention the handy second row seat under floor storage compartments and flat folding front passenger seat that are standard. Also, Peugeot doses not offer Bose sound systems as you stated, the 5008GT is fitted with the French branded Focal premium sound system with 10 speakers.

    So a quick release system for third row seats in this car don't matter as you were pretty critical on it on the Patrol? What would Tom Baker say here?

    We bought a new 5008 3 weeks ago. We had the joy of driving it for 7 minuuts before returning to the dealer. Waited 10 days to have a " I think they call it a knock sensor" to be replaced. Got it back last Thursday, then came the smell. Smelled like burning rubber. We took it back and it was said it is new car engine paint. We drove it about 400km and the smell stayed with us. It is currently back again. Out come this afternoon... dont know what cause this rubber burning smell after driving awhile. It should go away they say........ in short, we have been fortunate to have parked our brand new 2023 5008 for a full 4 days in our garage in the last 3 weeks.

    The trunk is 780l from what I know. Also in Europe, the 1,6l petrol engine generates 180hp and the premium sound system comes from Focal and it is much better than any Bose. funny those differences between regions.

    • @Audios81
      @Audios81 2 года назад +1

      @@andrew22334455 lol. M340imwill easily be about 120k, DS9 would be about 85k. Huge difference. It's insanely better looking than all current BMWs. Same 0-100 time. BMW has better handling a but a harsher ride, lower warranty, and way cheaper materials overall. Build quality is good. But not excellent. Power is negligible, especially as it's only about 27 more, which isn't much. I'd still take the DS 9. I've had New BMWs, mostly M cars, Ferraris, Aston, Alfas, Alpine, Mercs, Audi's and many more. All new. Could care less about the badge. Which most in Sydney, as Sydney's population is a majority in the West, where we have a decade old Lambo and a 15 year old C63 in front of a absolute POS shack. That's who's pick the 340......finance for 84 months, and all they'd care about is the badge. Sorry if you can have any badge, it doesn't mean much to people like me.....I'll buy a car because it looks great, regardless of price and anything else. I don't have that shack and I live far, far from West Sydney😘😘

    I've enjoyed driving my 5008 for 3 years now. Worst thing is interior lighting at the back and in the boot: loading and unloading needs a torch unless there are good street lights. Plus, I don't think touch screen controls should be allowed for anything you use on the move, such as heating: it's absurd that you have to take your eyes off the road to adjust the cabin temperature.

      @@chasingcars I cross shopped the Karoq/3008 in late 2020 and actually ended up with the Kodiaq. I preferred the interior of the Skoda and the extra power, plus 4wd. With options they do get pricey, though, and there's massive wait times on them atm. Still, I think the 3008/5008 are definitely worth a look for being a bit different and I did think the 3008 drove pretty well.
