Catching and Cooking some delicious fresh fish on the boat in Destin, Florida was a great adventure! The raw sushi style chunk wasn't the best but it was about the experience. So happy I polled my Instagram followers and decided to make this trip happen despite the rainy and thunderstormy forecast.

My chill time is watching Trip and the other RUclips down to earth folks living out the dream! As a fire fighter, logger, carpenter or a diesel mechanic, I think we all live the life through y’all and get after it at work! I’m currently “talking” the wife into just winging it such as camping out in a storm such as you. Brother we live on the water and rarely take 50% advantage of it. Sometimes as I’m sure you and y’all know life just does it’s thang and unless you make time for LIFE there won’t be. What an inspiring folk you and yours is and hopefully, soon me and mine will be doing the same!!

As a young boy in Florida chilling out was spending time on my 10 foot Jon boat with little outboard motor cruise in the intercoastal waterways and mostly canals around Melbourne Florida. Cast netting for mullet and catching sea trout. Today, 40 years later, it’s now taking my small travel trailer down forest roads near Northern Arizona. Life is good. You can take the man out of Florida but you can’t take Florida out of the man. I enjoy watching you chilling out on your boat on the waters. Brings me home for a little bit. Be safe out there brother.
You grew up like I did. I'm in Vero Beach, my old john boat I had has seen a lot of fish and adventure in the Indian River. I would not change a thing.

Tip for Trip:
for better flavor, gill bleed a Spanish mack immediately and gut it ASAP... and it works out a lot better. If you have kosher salt to pack it. Everglades seasoning or lemon pepper etc that's really good too

Man I love just kicking back on the beach, paddleboarding, boogie boarding, kayaking, or making music on my guitar and writing songs. All of the above. I am jealous of the c-dory though. Highly jealous. Hoping to eventually find a motor powered water craft that fits my budget to explore more of what St. Andrew's Bay has to show me. On another note I always do 1:2 type ratio between push ups and air squats. So 25 push ups to 50 air squats. Just works better for me.
Heck yea Cory! The C-Dory is a great craft, there is no doubt... Hope you find your boat soon! Yea I gotcha on the 1:2, I figured my sprints wouldn't do to well after 100 air squats and wanted big sets for my pushups since I wasn't doing many rounds.
Trip, yes that was a Ladyfish at the 33' mark. Most people don't eat those but, a few that do, generally pack the fish meat, It is a very flaky fish, and make patties similar to crab patties. Love the video.

I wish I was planning one next week... The problem is, time... With a full time job I would have to take a considerable amount of vacation to make those bigger trips happen. Then I wouldn't have enough time left for many other trips... Hopefully one day I can go full-time and make them happen for ya bud. I want it bad!!! You have a great one as well, thanks for watching.
Oh, yeah.... forgot to mention that cut ladyfish is a great bait for larger fish such as Redfish and Snapper. Next time try anchoring near the bridge , off the channel, during ebb tide. Work a cut piece of cut ladyfish in front or under the bridge, in the current when the tide begins to shift. Tight lines!!!

Hey brother just a word of advice next time you're fishing with shrimp start at the tail and put the shrimp on the hook with the curve of the hook not through the back you'll do a lot better

Sheepshead love Bridge pilans and you can usually just fish straight down and doable a jig and get them to bite and I think they are great to eat too just kinda ugly looking fish LOL. They love jetties and rock also and a small crab works good or a jig that imitates that.

Thanks! At about 25mph I get about 5-6 mpg on calm water. It holds a bit over 50 gallons so that's a pretty nice range. I actually calculated it more clearly at the end of this video - ruclips.net/video/ncSRQKiXDaE/видео.html

Hey Trip do you still use the Garmin Fenix GPS watch?
I don't..... I've been using a Casio ProTrek for quite a while now. Mostly because my Garmin didn't have good notifications on it lol In the last couple of weeks though I've been wanting a Garmin back.... The newer models have much better notifications and I can get heart rate and other fitness related data from them.
