The Koreans are doing to the automotive industry what the Japanese did in the 70s. Although the Ioniq 5 N's price will likely be out of reach for most, it still gives us enthusiasts something to get excited about. Stoked to see how sports cars take shape in the EV landscape!
Please understand the awkward tone of translation. I agree that Korea seems to be watching Japanese industry in the 1970s if you are talking about the existing internal combustion engine i30N i20N Elantra N, but the internal combustion engine era and the electric vehicle era are completely different worlds. The only thing that an internal combustion engine car and an electric car have in common is that the car has a steering wheel and four wheels.
@@kenyaswallow5782 Yeah I suspect it'll be north of 65k and closer to the lower 70k range. It's still a great "value" given the specs. I'm honestly more excited to see the technology evolve and bring forth lower cost sports cars similar in philosophy to the modern GR86/BRZ and the like.
@@peu815 No worries on the translation. It's important to look at cars as a whole rather than separate them by power plant. My comment was primarily in reference to the disruptive nature of bringing exciting new designs and compelling cars at relatively affordable prices. The N line as a whole, regardless of internal combustion or EV, has been just that... and it's only going to get better. I love seeing more competition arise in the sports car space as it results in better options for us enthusiasts!
I've seen a few reviewer videos on this and it looks spectacular! I wonder if they've fixed the 48A L2 charging issue plaguing the current generation of I5s (and even my brand new I6)
@@hassanger8128 more like Hyundai took every top tier engineer to better their brand and make it compete with the top dogs, people literally hate the fact that Hyundai had enough capital to do so.
And their video editors too. Would have been wise for somebody to ask about the audio they added since being quiet is one of the biggest benefits to daily driving an electric car.
@@snkcorp.502 it's just lame. Fake sound is lame af. The first thing I did to my i20 N was remove the fake sound. Luckily that car sounds awesome in it's beautiful gas engine. EV's are not for everyone and thank god for that cause I doubt any electrical grid can charge if we all had one (at least they can't here in Denmark). Each to their own. More gas for me 😁
Is this no supposed to be an EV? If it is, then why does it sound like a turbo charged ICE car? Great looking car nonetheless and a captivating advert too.
take off the ricey red accents and take off everything on the exteior that says N including the calipers, or your car is going to have a target on it. Also, dont need it to sound like an ICE. Take that money and put it towards sound dampening on windshield or doors and include a great sound system that has a 10" Sub. Also, more wheel options. Those wheels are too immature for me. Maybe a blacked out version or few versions to choose from.
I absolutely LOVE all the great formula 1 style engine noises that they put in the video to enhance the sound of the ELECTRIC VEHICLE!!!! I'm literally rolling on the ground laughing and having trouble breathing over this video. Great looking car.... but the marketing is absolutely BONKERS and comical!!!!! LMAO!!!!!
The car and engineering look impressive. Unfortunate however a company as large as Hyundai doesn’t show at least some awareness of responsible driving habits. Racing through city streets at 90mph, mom and dad playing high speed cat and mouse up a mountain road…really? Marketing run amok.
Overly dramatic nonsense in these trailers always makes me laugh :) Makes you fearless and do the unthinkable... Hyundai, maybe instead fix some of the many problems of Ioniq 5, but sadly that's what's really unthinkable...

A crappy Hyundai that desperately tried to copy BMW and Mercedes
As a Elantra N owner and not real crazy about ev's, this is pretty darn cool to see!
👏 Hyundai
I don't see anything wrong with EV cars , I think their performance and technology are awesome 😎 this is the evolution bro !

Hyundai truly knows what car people want. If this can be the future of sporty EV's then I'm game. 100%!
where do i sign?

Love the future of the N team. But please make a production version of the Vision 74. That thing is just so stunning, to not have it on the roads.
Hyundai just does it.....
What about the next elantra N I cant wait anymore
Take my money
Hopefully HMA repairs the charging issue before they do! They took my $$ first for an Ioniq 6...
