I said the same thing. I was shocked to watch all these powerhouse heroes get torn apart in a matter of minutes. This movie definitely showed that DC heroes are not completely invincible
Agreed. The stakes were real from start to finish with so many epic moments. I never felt certain any character would make it to the finish line.
in my opinion it had a better bittersweet endingthen endgame yes tony sacrificed himself to save everyone but he was the only casualty aside from natasha but here almost all the heroes die except for the couple on titans tower as flash ran i knew everything was gonna be erased

Buddy they didn't even show the fights what are you talkin about torn apart by whose definition they didn't show anything am I the only sane person who realizes this watch the movie over again they literally did not finish one fight in this entire movie.
Even though the Flash has to go back in time to undo the mistakes and restore the planet, I hope Raven and Damian would remain together in the Rebirth timeline. 😢🙏

@@geekinwithJamesHancock true that i didn't think they could pull off their relationship in 3 movies i thought there should of been more movies with these titans but i looked up how movie projects work apparently the studio of said production gives them the greenlight anyway they focused alot on damian and raven which is exactly what i wanted i got emotional seeing barry run i knew he had to otherwise like u said earth would die that final shot of light gave me hope that we could see them again i can't explain it i saw a video with a title saying ending explained but it got taken down before i could watch it one of the promoters for dc said there's gonna be cool stuff within the next 2 weeks which is when the combo pack comes in don't know what that means but i need to see these characters again especially damian and raven they are the most complex in my honst opinion birds of a feather
Well I think that is the problem with movies like this and endgame you can't move forward after this you killed so many that it has to be reset
Geekin' with James Hancock I thought the name paradoom was cool. What messed up the movie for me is Darkseid's voice. So terrible!! He sounds like an old man!! It doesn't fit the image of a galactic emperor of death and destruction. What an ultimate let down!!

Infinity War and Endgame could have gone to the dark side if they were the last movies in the MCU, but Disney obviously wants to continue with the MCU for a very long time.

This movie did a good job at combining elements of Injustice, Earth 2 (new 52), DCeased, bits of futures end, Avengers endgame, and Darkseid war and Ultimatum(marvel).I love that they went all out and found creative ways to combine different concepts that at the end of the day all leads to the brillance of Jack Kirby and the road to Darkseid as an exestential threat.
It heavily borrowed from zack snyder plans for his jl trilogy
I hope the live action films will take some inspiration from its example.

The Warner Bros DC animated films - at least the best of them - have always been what I wished the live action movies would aspire to be.
Absolutely. Warner Bros has barely scratched the potential of the DC Universe in the world of live action.

The saddest part is this movie was based on the scrapped Zack Snyder run of 5+ movies starting with man of steel. Man of Steel is such an amazing watch but so many people bitched cause they wanted DC movies to be more like the MCU which are mostly a carbon copy of the same plot line with little depth. When he left after almost finishing Justice League WB used the painful time of his daughters suicide as an opportunity to turn it what would’ve been much different than what we got with the next 2 being a longer, live action version with a different take on what Apokolips War gave us. So many people have no idea what they lost out on by being ungrateful whiners and WB deserve that loss for what they did to Zack.

Now if we could just convince Warner Bros to take these kinds of creative risks in live action, that shared universe would take off like a rocket.
@@geekinwithJamesHancock surprisingly, this animated movie borrowed some of the plot points from Justice League story that Zack Snyder envisioned. We probably moght get this horrifying things that we see in the animated movie if they move along with Zack's story.
The only downside to this movie are : No hero from New Genesis appearing, how can the G.L Corp be defeated so easily, no way. Your feedbacks?

Glad to hear this is good. I loved the first JL Dark movie downloading it now. Warner is killing it with their animation this year with MK Scorpions Revenge, Superman Red Son and now this.

At the end of the movie when The Flash went back in time to change everything where did he go in the timeline to change everything. For example at the end of the movie did the Flash go back in time to stop the league from going to Apocalypse and getting killed or did he go back in time before then?
Not sure. Perhaps that's where the next batch of films will begin.
This must be the end of the New 52 era. Can`t wait to see what they do with the Rebirth era. The beginning of that was awesome. Maybe they will tackle The Button & Doomsday Clock.
I'll be rooting for these animators all the way with whatever stories they tackle next.
I was hoping Dr. Manhattan would be a post credit when Flash ran, still didn't disappoint. Amazing film using the world they've built & destroying it masterfully
Now I see why this movie was called Justice League Dark Apokolips War because I never expected this movie to be this dark and apocalyptic but realistic at the same time. The ending was a pyrrhic victory as even though they won but they had lost so much more and it's one of the best movie ever produced by DC.
Im a fan of dc and some of these shown characters in the movie but im so sad that black canary, poison ivy, catwoman, Shazam's family, arrow's family, other suicide squad's characters , the Amazons etc were not in it. Some major characters were killed off so quickly without showing their fights seemed bad. I think 90 minutes was too short to end a timeline. Some of the talking in the movie were too much. Should have cut them and add more fight scenes. Showing Shiva, Cheetah, beastboy, arthur etc instant death scenes were hard to watch as well. Im a little sad after watching this animated movie
Well if it could have been 10 hours and included the entire DC Universe, I would not have complained, but I think the flick did a great job with the characters the writers chose to include.

I imagine so. Personally I'm not a fan of the frequency with which DC likes to reboot everything but this continuity is certainly going out on a high note.
I am a huge supes Fan. I love that they modernized everything from pre flashpoint superman into 52 superman. I would love to see maybe , a Metal continuity now.
Meaning that the golden age and the silver age super are part of his modern life.

I’d say it’s close to endgame if not slightly better. Especially if you’ve seen the films leading up. It’s not as meticulous as endgame with bringing closure to all the subplots but it’s really close
I love all of these movies!! They are Infinitely OP!! But what all these movies need is more focus on the other characters such as , Green Lantern,Hawkman, Martian Manhunter and Shazam!! Thee real ,true Captain Marvel. I love supes and bats but stop hogging the ball.
Agreed and that's part of what I really enjoyed with this movie. Always a fan of seeing 2nd and 3rd tier characters get the spotlight for a while.

My understanding is that they are rebooting their entire animated universe.
The dc rebirth, they will most likely introduce dr Manhattan.
I think they are gonna do DC rebirth and start a new universe based on it.

One of Grant Morrison's coolest creations. Of course he planned on him staying dead but the character proved to be too popular for him to stay dead for long.

Can anyone explain to me why Luthor kills half of Lois's forces, right before "The Plan," given he's then immediately revealed to be her "Sleeper" source?
He was giving information to help out, but after Batman found out that Luthor was a traitor, Luthor said "Now I'm fully on your side". Luthor wanted to join the winning side, that's why he wanted to know if Batman knew if Doomsday had a future plan and need for for him (Luthor). He just wanted to save himself, while still giving Earth some chance at fighting with some needed info. Really, Luthor would've killed all of them if given the chance. They backed him into a wall, so, again, he joined the side that was winning in the immediate moment.
@@jalen40k45 Except they weren't winning. And the information he was passing was with deliberate intent, including schedule of events and strategic loopholes, thereby showing premeditation. In fact, he was already safe and on the winning side without having to help at all.
@@thedarkemissary Again. Luthor was playing both sides. He wanted to stay alive, most of all. He helped Earth, but at the same time, he still want to be on Darkseid's good side, to ensure he still had a side to go to if the heroes failed with this last plan. When Batman found out, all bets were off. Luthor only had one side to go to now.
@@jalen40k45 So, Lex sent Lois information to attack Luthor Corp. Then he was surprised, when Lois attacked Luthor Corp. So, he switched sides after he was cornered in an attack he helped orchestrate? Yeah... still doesn't make sense.
It'd be like: if he personally, on his own, executed a plan to kill all the heroes and then say, "Oh, I guess since Darkseid has killed all the heroes, I have no choice but to join Darkseid."
The whole thing is a huge plothole.

Jack Kirby a comic titan. He created the hulk with Stan Lee for Marvel comics and Darkseid and new gods for DC comics.
James I agree with a lot of your points. However, I think the ending could have been a little better by having something showing us how much of a reboot we are possibly getting. Also Hawkman's fate by the end is a little hard for me to swallow.

My question is who Won the Battle near the end to see who is the True God between Trigon and Darkseid?
I'm kinda glad that this is gonna be the last of the current continuity of DC Movies. Its been a very inconsistent run that kinda turned me off from DC animated films. Which is crazy because this is something we could fall back on if we weren't pleased with the live action takes. I guess the mixing of New 52 and classic stories put a bad taste in my mouth. Haven't seen any of the movies in a while but after seeing your review I'm definitely gonna check this 1 out. But hopefully this new direction Warner Bros. is going in goes back to the old format which is adapt classic stories as standalone films. If they are gonna try to make a continuity they need to take notes from the late Dwayne McDuffie who took classic stories like Tower of Babel and created JL Doom & Crisis on Two Earths.
It is was a genuine tragedy for animation and comics losing Dwayne McDuffie so early in his life.

I’m really excited to see what comes next! Before watching this film a rewatched all of the new 52 films before this from Justice League flashpoint paradox to Wonder Woman bloodlines and I’m glad I did because the emotional moments with all the characters were a lot more impactful
I hope that they give us a loose adaption of rebirth and still keep the mcu style universe again where every film is linked rather than a series of standalone titles but either is fine, I also would like to see a different art style because it would further show the audience that it’s now in a new universe
I wouldn't mind a new animation style as well but I hope they hang onto these writers.
I hope this leads to rebirth and possibly a supersons movie

Most gruesome part was seeing Aquaman getting ripped in half.Also seeing Barry and Hal tortured on the spot.
Aquaman just got completely obliterated. That's when I knew this flick was going to hold nothing back.

King Shark was TINY compared to every other version I have seen... Not admittedly he is too big in 'The Flash' but the way he is in the 'Harley Quinn' show seems about right.

OK, this last one is just being picky, but unless Earth's core(or all planet's cores in DC) is/are somehow 'special' and magical, how could pouring some of it on a de-powered Lantern leave anything but a gigantic pool of magma rather than just burning him to a crisp??? Also, in the scale of energy usage shown in the DC universe, why would anyone need the 'relatively' small a amount of energy in a planetary core?
This is from 2019 but please do a review of Serenity with Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway. It seems like 95% of people including the critics, misunderstood the plot, and the twists entirely.... We need your expertise.. This movie really needs a proper review.

Black Manta's suit is bulletproof and can withstand hits from Aquaman, who has super strength (not on the level of Superman of course, but still super strength nonetheless). A shark's teeth can't penetrate his suit.
What Flash did at the end was awesome but it’s all fun and games till you hear Life On Mars play and a naked blue guy is watching. (if you watched the Watchmen show, you’ll know what I mean.)
I finally saw this movie and was impressed with the. movie overall, and very surprised how many DC heroes died in battle. Definitely worth watching and seeing again.

This is the Sequel to Superman: Rise of the Supermen, the post credit scene is basically the start of this movie. Starting with Flashpoint thru Justice League Dark Apokolips War all tie together, this is the Final DCAU movie ending the New 52.

kudos to DC for taking risks with creativity that marvel wont even dream of. this movie is so dark and bleak, that theres not even a happy ending, you basically have to take darkseid dying also as a consolation

Flashpoint Paradox kicked things off.
Whats interesting is that flash save his mum and cause and massive rift in the time line and now he is suppose to go back in time and fix all this. Bloody cyborg like Batman didn't know. Great movie my emotions were everywhere didn't know what to think. Hate seeing these characters getting torn apart and tortured. Just means rebirth is a new timeline and these characters aren't the same except for flash?
So does Barry save his mom or not save his mom this time? lol

That's straight up from Alan Moore's unpublished comic "Twilight of the Super Heroes", where Constantine and Rip Hunter are the main characters during the apocaliptic canonical end of the DC Universe.
I thought the movie was garbage and very low on intelligence scales I mean it's already Dark Side keeping Batman alive and then dark side killing the Green Lantern's by himself that is the most ridiculous outrageous claims to a glamorous bereavement I mean seriously they surrounded the last bit award around Constantine and his love life how ridiculous is that where are all the speedsters gone just throwing out information that Barry change the time force by Saving his mother is an explanation.
it felt like an endgame rip off, but not a good one either. theres was no build up to most plot points and character moments. the only good characters in my opinion are Superman, Lex Luthor, and John Constantine, Damien has always been a bland character to me and has taken way too much screen time. I honestly loved Flashpoint Paradox, JL War, JL, Dark, Fall of Superman, and reign of superman. All the batman films were too much. Shazam and green Lantern are forgotten. Martian man hunter is never properly introduced.

The fights were boring and cheap, they have done far better in the past (I rewatched Flash Point Paradox after seeing JLDAW and can confirm the action was better). Also killing off most characters doesn't make a movie dark or scary, it has to be properly set up.
If anything Im just disappointed. This was all a cash grab and they won, they got our money and we are never going to get anymore proper DC 52 movies. I used to respect DC animated works for years, but if this is the best they can do than so be it, I refuse to buy anymore of your product and I will take my money elsewhere

Not my favorite of the new 52 series of WB animated films. THat title still belongs to the first of the series: flashpoint paradox. However this was a great culmination of all the new 52 and had some great moments. My fav was the Jon Stewart scene on OA. What a memorable scene!
My fav two from this series of films are flashpoint and Batman vs Robin. That Batman vs the court of owls premise is perfect for live action and I hope they wise up someday and give us that version.

My guilty pleasure right now is binging Harley animated series. There are lots of woke lines to hate but really all is forgiven when you see all the crazy antics show has to offer 🤣
@@AtlantaGuns Rebirth is completely overrated.i find it to be average, and some of their late stuff wasn't that good. Its not "outstanding", I think DCAMU was much better than New 52 and Rebirth. Hey they fixed New 52 and did something better with it, hopefully if they do Rebirth they could make it something from average to outstanding.

What movies were you guys watching there wasn't a definition of a win-loss no battle was won nobody was actually shown on screen as a percentage of yes or no did they win yes or no everything was talked about as if we should know the viewers as the fourth dimension of what happened and then I want to hear was Damien threatened everybody every 5 Seconds. Big surprise they had to make Clark Kent weak to make a storyline based on somebody else instead of the Trinity group.
