Wow. Having found Nightwish in 2019, and seeing one of the earliest performances of GLS: I'm damned near speechless. Floor isn't just an amazing vocalist, but I don't know anyone that could have done what she did in 48 hours prior to her first performance in the US. She not only nailed it, but seeing this? A true "level up" in every sense: Not just for Floor, but for the band as a whole. And you see that level up complete at the Wacken 2013 concert. I sincerely hope that Floor takes the lesson of fine wine and gets better with age -- she is a once-in-a-generation vocalist, metal or otherwise. Oh, yeah...AND she totally schools the pop divas. Adele and Ariana Grande have nothing on the versatility, skill, talent, raw power, and stage presence of Floor Jansen.

I was there. Such an amazing show, I feel so lucky to have gotten to see Floor so early on in her time with Nightwish, she was already the new singer in my heart as far as I was concerned from this moment on.
Everyone only talks about the singers. These musicians here, including Marco's vocals, are just incredible. It is a travesty what they have had to endure on stage since Tarja left, that was a poor decision I think. It's good to see them on stage with someone who can really sing again. It's a tough gig. I know, I've done a lot of different styles as a female frontwoman. It's SO much harder than it looks folks.
This is my dream~ to have Floor touring in America so I can fly anywhere to go see her!! I love Nightwish too and I think the two couldn't be more of a perfect match! The music is no less than EPIC. Beautiful! Amazing! What an awesome video, also!

I have exactly the same feeling, even though it's been only 4 years of desinterest for me. Ghost love score was always my favorite song and Floor singing it gives me the goosebumps and tears I had when I first heard it. I'm really crossing my fingers and hope that Floor stays in NW, so I get the chance to see this live as well.
If Floor doesn't make a deal to stay in Nightwish, at least I hope she makes a deal with Marvel for the role of Wonder Woman. Man, what an amazon warrior physique!

If you get the chance, check out Floor's interview with ThelslandersUK. Even though she was an emergency replacement and probably has a million things on her plate, she graciously made time to meet with fan clubs and showed what a totally beautiful person she is.

I was... well, Floored, when I stumbled across After Forever in Zune's recommendations. I wondered how she'd do paired up with Nightwish. Never did I imagine she'd waltz in and handle the vocal extremes of Nightwish history like it was child's play. I kind of lost interest in Nightwish even though I still went to their concerts with Annette and bought the albums... but it just didn't feel like the Nightwish I first fell in love with. I liked Annette and she seemed like a nice person... but this has got me so psyched out about Nightwish again. Please stay Floor!!!!

she is like an awesome mix of both Tarja and Annette, Their love child for sure! :D she has the power and opera of Tarja (just better live) and she can also do the speedier more pop vocals that Annette could do! :D Wonderful! :D :D
Not to downgrade other NW masterpieces, but GLS somehow was very special to me and now with Floor's voice (especially at the end when she adds her personal flavour to the song) I can almost forget Tarja. I really hope NW will keep her, she's ashtonishing in every way (voice, stage presence, everything)
i agree, but i think almost all Nightwish fans will agree! Annette did the best she could, and i don't think it is fair that so many people were talking shit about her.. But i think it's better for the band that's she left and if Floor took here place. After forever has always been one of my favorite bands en Nightwish to. So i could not think for anything better!
With all do respect you do realize that the last couple albums they recorded was with a full orchestra and choir so while it would be nice idea to have a full 50+ person symphony and choir behind them its not realistic.Technology when used tastefully ( not autotune or other studio tricks) can help to bring the albums to life live. Just my simple opinion as a musician and lover of Night wish music,
You should care coz if you go in a live that is one of the most important things..If you go for example at front row and she doesnt give a damn nor does things to get the crowd going,no matter the voice it will be horrible.And no she wasnt horrible..It is what NW chose in a try to change style and drop off the operatic style Tarja used to give..And Anette was totally fine for that purspose

Most symphonic metal bands have a symphonic sound as that's what defines it mostly....Floor's in one of those bands, and she actually can sing high. Anette isn't as high as Floor or Tarja.
This sounds like the Nightwish what I used to listen when I was yong, when Tarja was still the wocalist. When Anette was the wocalist it was so horrible that I stopped listening Nightwish and ths sounds really promising.
