Autotune is the name of the company that first developed this tool that can manipulate a singer’s pitch. Other companies have since developed their own versions. This is the same effect that was used on Cher’s classic hit “Believe” from 1999. In Agnetha’s instance, and in Cher’s, it wasn’t used for pitch correction, but used to create the robotic effect. The robotic effect happens when the pitch correction process is deliberately exaggerated when applied. The term “Autotune” is commonly used to reference both the correction of pitch and the application of the robotic effect on vocals, which can cause confusion. Based on that definition. Autotune, or some similar software was used on Agnetha's voice in these songs.
Yes, it's the quantisation of a vocalist's natural glissando/slide between notes into discreet steps that gives it the robotic sound. An autotune plugin/device has definitely been used for this, without a doubt, whether it's the original Antares Autotune, Melodyne, or something similar that I haven't yet seen or used myself.
Pitch correction and autotune are not one in the same thing. And there was a TON of pitch correction on Agnetha’s vocals on Voyage. It’s fairly easy to spot if you know what you’re listening for. Autotune is different. While it also adds pitch correction, it’s adds a robotic sound which was applied to these new mixes. I’m not saying it’s a bad thing (and so many artists use both approaches now) but there is no point in denying it is used here.
Perfume in The breeze is so different to the original. This sounds new and a complete different song. Dance the Pain Away still sounds the same but fresher.
I love the new single where do we go from here and wish there was a totally new song dance away your pain was bbc 2 A list hit 1 on BBC 2 the one that i loved and if you love someone were bbc 2 A LIST i should have followed you home never A or B listed and it got to 99 on the bbc official chart due to download i prefer the new version of i should have followed you home and hopefully it will get a great cartoon video as they did with were do i go from here is a Voyage deluxe in the works and if so 5 or 6 new songs ABBA always keeps us guessing fans of Abba should also listen to the new Fizz album the fizz were Buck fizz another euro contest winner whom i follow both Agnetha and bucks fizz had big gay club dance hits esp i can't shake loose hit Billboard top 26 and 20 on cash box while wrap your arms around me a major morning classic at both the saint disco in new York city gone now and Heaven disco k In the uk i was lucky to get bsck stage when ABBA was in the USA at radio city music hall thanks to my Uncle Rudy got me two tickets and back stage passes as i did Dj work on Sunday tee dances and community center dances at the center
I like the new version of Dance Your Pain Away but just for fun or driving music, nothing more. Apart from that, I think Agnetha deserves a project and production with more quality and substance. This songs with this production could be sung by any mediocre singer, Agnetha is a legend who should be in another level.
I am 78. Obviously I prefer A to A+ BUT ABBA/Agnetha fans probably are not the audience she is aiming for with A+. It is the younger audience who LIKE modern music, like Autotune and like a heavy beat. To my ear they are not an improvement but they seem reasonable alternatives. I have heard live ABBA and studio ABBA which are alternatives and like both, so why not alternative versions? If she is using Autotune then I can think of no better justification than she is in her 70s! I will buy it as it will help her sales figures and success may encourage her to produce new material. We have heard and love A. Those who have not may, I hope, like A+ and become new fans of Agnetha, Frida, Benny and Björn - and collectively ABBA. The more the merrier!
The effect used on her voice on 'Dance Your Pain Away' is definitely not Flanging. It is distinctively Autotune. Compare it to something such as Cher's 'Believe'. You can hear how the notes are snapped to the line. I think it's important to note that Autotune is not only used for pitch correction. It can also be used to create that robotic effect intentionally (as was the case with 'Believe' and with 'Dance Your Pain Away'). Autotune is not applied this prominently unless it's the intention of the producer and sound engineer. However, I really don't feel it contributes to the new version. In fact, it makes it sound dated. No one on the contemporary charts applies Autotune to this degree (aside from rappers such as Lil Wayne and Travis Scott for their specific genre). It's a no from me.
'A' s mainstream sound is up there for me Ok that's a granded point. But 'A+' is a playful alternate version.Personally I love them both.I agree with your option B'sb.I am excited and open.'A+' isn't here to replace the original release. It's here to play with a different soundscape.
Absolutely agree with you 100% these new versions are absolutely awful the original was superb and it shouldn’t have been re done it’s not needed, what’s needed is a whole new album of 10 songs that’s what we want more than anything.
Agnetha has ALWAYS had such a beautiful, soft, clear voice. Like we say, the voice of an Angel. I just feel that I, personally, ❤️ love and adore her voice, even in the happiest of her songs, her voice brings tears to my eyes with that beautiful, beautiful voice that pulls at your heartstrings with emotion and “soul”. And I have to admit, when I heard that her new album was going to be a re-vamp of her original one,I was a bit ( Sorry if I offend anyone by saying this) disappointed. Yes, it’s up to date with the music industry these days and that’s fine, but, where has our beautiful and pure Voice of my, (our) Angel gone…..?😢xxx
Would have loved new material from Agnetha but it is a new project!! The lead single is new. Maybe there could be more singles done to add to the project
I am pleasantly surprised. I like the chilled lounge feel. Yes, the vocals have been treated, but it adds to the feel of the collection. Agnetha has 13 solo albums and 9 with ABBA - more than enough songs to appreciate her beautiful voice. We all know she can sing, so she doesn’t need auto tune, unlike many of today’s “singers”… Admittedly I was initially disappointed that it was a reworked album and not a new one but I actually prefer what I’m hearing now to the originals from a decade ago. Personal preference so don’t shut me down! 🤣😂
I do agree with your inverted commors over the word “singers”!!! Yes, we do all have our own personal preferences and I do respect yours, too, so no, I won’t shut you down!
I agree with you it's basically all Chill-Out versions, which unfortunately means in most cases background music. But I must say it's growing on me. But I don't think fans should hold back from expressing their like or dislike of this album. If Agnetha is bold enough to release it, she is obviously bold enough to hear the criticism or disappointment. It's the risk she takes. Was there really no AutoTune used on A or on the new single Where Do We Go? It does just sound so ... metallic or effortless at times.
I absolutely love the new arrangements. Perfume in the Breeze is perfect. I could do without the vocal effects but it’s a minor point. It’s a project I would never have expected and I’m grateful

I found myself really enjoying this new versions a lot! Like you said, they're very relaxing, and a love to sing-a-long when I'm working from home. At first listen I admit that thought they sound "hollow" in a way, that really changed now! The songs are growers, they are very well produced and have really delicious details. I'm looking forward to your video where you share your thoughts about the whole album!
I don't understand the negativity coming from so many people over these new song versions. These new ones are a lovely bonus from Agnetha. Take it or leave it. No one is being forced to listen or buy them, and the originals are all still available. I don't get it?
Absolutely love the sound of A+! I preordered it the day I Should Have Followed You Home was released. I’d been skeptical about the revamping of Agnetha’s old album, but find the younger version surprisingly appealing. Yes, it’s easy listening, but there are interesting contrasts there: it’s relaxing and danceable, rthytmic and wistful, tense and melancholy - in contrast to somewhat bland Euro pop sound of the original. To each their own, I suppose!
I really like the new versions of these two songs. The biggest surprise actually was them being released to close to the album's release! I think Perfume works the best in it's new version. Dance Your Pain Away is (almost) two relaxed now, but in the concept of the whole album, I'm sure it will work well. On a BB video comment, I love to see you in some of these. When you are inspecting the Agnetha vinyl, it adds a nice touch, and shows you are a fan just like us, and not just a host of the channel. Liked, and looking forward to Friday, for 12 good reasons now! 😉
I think the new versions are great and for me they can happily coexist with the old version. As intended, they are reimagined with new music recorded around original vocals .. no remixing here. I can now enjoy those songs in a new way depending on my mood. You're right BB, art is subjective, and it amazes me how many people make statements as fact when merely expressing their opinion. After the new song on A+ I have a feeling Agnetha will offer more in near future. Elofson mentioned recently she has loads of her own unfinished compositions from over the years ..here's hoping she maybe revisits some of these.
Me too.. I often think that some of her own songs and especially “I’m Still Alive “ and “The Queen of Hearts is back in town) are brilliant and I would have loved it if she had released them earlier on in her career but I still think that they would be a great hit today. I’m forever learning so much more about her own music career if she had stayed solo. I would be sssooo excited if she did revisit some of her own compositions from the past.! Swedish, English… I adore her Swedish accent,, it sounds so beautiful and somewhat “cute “, I don’t know if that’s the right word for it, maybe somewhat vulnerable..? I don’t really think I know what I’m trying to say cos I can’t stop thinking about the what if….wow, bringing back unfinished compositions into new music…🍭😃🤫🤯. 🤒👏👧🙏!!!…..I have a dream….xxxx………………"….a song to sing…….I believe in Angels and fairy tales, fairy tales can come true if you want them to enough, sorry, I m getting carried away and all “mushy” now! I had better end this text(epistle)! before I make you all fed up and tired of my writing (if I haven’t already done so)🌈✨🧚♂️🙏x
I realize she hates traveling. Does she realize however, that by doing a few dates in the UK, Canada in the United States, she will bring the sales of her new album to the stratosphere? This would be a major event for ABBA fans, and every place she goes, she will sell out instantly.
Sorry, I love Agnetha but her vocals have had way too much treatment (and it’s not just ‘flange’) and sorry to disagree again but this DOESN’T make the songs sound more modern… it actually makes some of them sound like late 90’s/early 2000’s ‘Army of Lovers’ or some 00’s celebrity who can’t really sing sound as if they can. I’d expect this of ‘STEPS’ or some other ABBA sound-a-like not from the O.G.
I like the new versions because the lyrics seem more clear. To be honest, I often go to RUclips and hear her "isolated vocals", such as "Zigenarvän". With technology, many songs are altered. My hope is for Agnetha to rerecord her beautiful Swedish compositions in English. Imagine "Jag Var Sa Kar" sung in English. What a great album that would be.
So far I’m not impressed by any of these new versions it’s not needed why mess about with an album that was very good in the first place? It’s just a waste of time it would have been more sensible to deliver some new material that’s what we really want is a whole album of 10 new songs.
She's not "messing about". It's her music. She can do what she likes. She enjoys being creative and I hope she had a lot of fun creating these new versions. Besides, you now have the choice of two versions. Why is that a problem? I like the new versions. I am thankful for anything and everything new coming from Agnetha.
@@toby9999 No she has not messed about with the songs to start with but some producer who thinks he knows better has pulled the wool over her eyes, The original A album was absolutely fine as it was and yes she can do what she wants but really? Is this the way to go with these new songs? It’s NOT, You may like the new versions but there is a lot of people who DON’T like them look above at my last comment and so far 13 people agree with me.
Hmm...I know B'sb has met and chatted with Benny and bjorn in the past. But i wish him for an in depth interview. There was also a 'moment' by Frida on him in the VOYAGE premier where she seemed to took notice of him and paused for some secs kinda 'giving him the eye' before leaving the stage at the encore lol!Agnetha safely enjoys her privacy but Frida steps out more frequently.Neverthless he could be the greatest and most interesting interviewer to any Abba member.
@@TheFridaFan Agreeeeeee! Btw I might be wrong but if i remember well He was sent an invitation via the official Abba fan club (that has some contact with Abba members) for the vips Voyage gig premier in 26th of May '21.And i was so releaved he got to be there.was so happy for him.
Count ourselves lucky to have Agnetha back recording, remember the long years that past when there were no such recordings from our beautiful ❤ songbird Agnetha. Exciting to have her back in our lives❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yes i am enjoying these new versions ❤ It’s always a thrill when something happens with a recording that your used to hearing and suddenly your ears are picking up something new and different ❤
I can't help but wondering how Agnetha would sound today if she'd sing in Swedish, like she did in the late 60's and early 70's. The vulnerability and sincerity her voice had back then would probably be even more accentuated, considering all the experience she has gathered throughout the years. We have loads of fantastic pop princesses who sing in Swedish, but the return of the Queen herself would be something extra. ❣️👍👏🙏
@Bobby' Brother: you are right, she could have choosen a easy way for a new album. I like both Songs, the new song and also the re-arranged song... she re-freshed the songs to a "today's" listening-experience.. l love it - very much so!! Thanks again for your hard, never-ending work and that you are sharing all your thoughts and insights of the Band and Agnetha-for us!!❤
I will wait to hear the new revisited album in full as it's on order. In the UK there is a magazine out called RetroPop. It has Rick Astley on the cover but contains a six page interview with Jorgen about the album , new Agnetha pictures and her view on the album, songs and possible future plans. There is also an interview with Ludvig about ABBA Voyage and the soundtrack, vocals and music.
Thanks again BB! I'm so anxious and can't wait to hear A+. With Agnetha involved, i know I will be pleased. You just can't miss hearing her Angelic voice!❤
I am very excited about A+ -I like the modern feel to the 4 songs I have heard so far. The vocals are the same as in 2013, it's the musical production that has changed with no auto-tuning. Thank you for your update and can't wait till Friday with the Album release.
I’m sorry to say that I am not impressed. I loved both of these originals , but the remixes just sound like a 12 year old was set loose with pitch correction software, a reverb unit, an over-sampler, and a copy of “garage band” on an iPad.
Yes it’s awful just ruined the original versions and the duet with Gary Barlow has lost it’s urgency it’s now sounding like a limp piece of lettuce that is out of date on a plate with half a slice of ham that’s all rubbery and chewy urghhh.
I wish people would stop moaning. For many years I thought we had heard the last from all the ABBA members and yet here we are receiving a gift of a new album. Is it what we expected? No. It never has been. The Voulez vous album was nothing like Waterloo. The Visitors, nothing like Arrival. Some songs we instantly love. Some grow on you and some will never be amongst our favourites. This has always been the case. We would have probably all preferred 10 brand new songs but let's not forget that this lovely lady is in her 70's and what we could of got was absolutely nothing at all. So let's all just be grateful. Thank you Agnetha.
I was waiting for your video about the new singles!! I’m with you about the relaxing flowing vibe and mood of these new tracks! I love them and I’m not awaiting A+ to compare it to the original A because Agnetha’s not trying to improve the original songs she, along with her producers, are creating a fresh new updated sound and I love that she’s still involved in music and was very much a part of this project!! As you say some won’t accept this gift as it was meant but Agnetha approved and loved everything we’re hearing and that’s enough for me-Thank you Agnetha for giving back to your fans….once again!!❤❤
I don’t need to compare the new with the old versions , I just listen, absorbe and love the music, I am not afraid of change and diversity so it somewhat of a wonderful challenge for me to hear a new creation, new possibilities and fresh sound . And for Agnetha’s voice, it’s more prominent for example in Perfume in the Breaze, I just LOVE it - Thank you Agnetha for the great idea and desire to share this album with us xxxx
I am personally so excited! I remember years ago while on a business trip to Stockholm, I looked for all of Agnetha's solo items when I had some free time. I highly, highly doubt I will dislike A+ unless it is given a rap sound (which I detest). However from what I've heard, there is nothing to worry about. Thank you, Bobby's Brother for another lovely presentation! Warmest wishes from Northern California 💛💙+❤🤍💙 🥰
Well. Feelings and emotions are those sliding down from excitement and freshness (WDWGFN), still there despite the needless voice twitchings (PITB and ISHFYH) and totally lost and swept away (DYPA), missing the beat. That was a risky business after such a perfect A. It's more like an A- I'm afraid. Sorry.
I like the different version of Dance Your Pain Away, my favourite so far of the released tracks from A+. So far finding it hard to get excited about A+ but will be buying my copy to support Agnetha. It’s a shame we keep having to buy the original albums that also come with these remixed/remastered albums, same as with previous Abba albums, but I know this also caters for a new audience. Just my thoughts.. Thanks again BB, look forward to next video. I do also hope Abba acknowledge the great work BB does in bringing us all things Abba, come on Bjorn, love to see an interview with u & BB, would be fascinating…
Well, frankly speaking, I expected something more classic sounding without attempts to modernize the sound, but it is solely my impression and taste, which is absolutely subjective. Plus certainly there are people loving exatly these versions even more than initial ones. Either way, I am glad that Agnetha got back to work and gladdened her fans with some new and\or updated material. Any news and updates from her is always great, isn't it? :) Looking forward the other upcoming songs.
I like "I Should Have Followed You" because it's made with a kind of cool bossa nova rythm with a jazzy clarinette gimmick, so it gave a real new fresh version of the song. The difference is less obvious with the 2 new songs but still coherent & homogene arrangements. "Dance" have a nice solo bridge but the song have receive before many techno mixes, so the surprise is less as the all thing is not so different. "Perfume in the breeze" has another treatment but not so found of the "autotune radio sound" special effects on the voice, it's not very original anymore ( I could say the same thing about the new christmas single of Cher) but it works on the ending part of the refrain cause it fits the lyrics, the voice disapearing like the wind. I'm impatient to discover the other songs if they made real changements but if not, we'll have a "relaxing" soft album, easy listening with a very good quality sound which could seduce the large public who didn't know the original versions.
The disappointment is because it was originally announced as a big new recording contract, so we all expected a string of new solo albums with new material. Only one song is new, and no hope of anything else.
I really do not understand why her beautiful natural and perfect pich voice ( shee is 97 % accurate ) is transformed by mixing, pich correction. Why mess with something that is almost perfect. There are so few of old school great singers left. As someone before me wrote A was not her best album for me it is Colouring book ( at least her english album ). And I prefer original A versions. For me personaly I would prefer if she gave us just a singe Where do we go from here with nice video. I feel she went to a territory where her voice does not belong.
"Perfume In The Breeze" still showcases Agnetha's beautiful voice (despite the more restrained 2023 vocal fx), it's a song with clever lyrics but a bland melody, with unremarkable backing. "Dance Your Pain Away" 2023 sounds ordinary, minus the dynamic retro disco backing of the original (which is ❤🎉!). Thanks Bobby's B. 👋🏻
Thank you Bobby for a personal summary of the songs so far. You are right. They are quite different and we should treat them as a separate entity. we still have the original. The new songs are fine. Yes they are stripped down and agnetha’s vocal in parts has been treated.I personally much refer the fuller arrangements of the original and I like agnetha’s vocal untreated, because they are special. For me the original album sounds like it is in full colour. For me personally A + feels like the colour and dynamics have been taken away, thereby reducing the emotional appeal which we find on the new album. As I say, not bad, but I wouldn’t buy it, because I have the original which is far superior. Best wishes
As I said the new track didn’t light my fire but I’m so loving these new remixed tracks so much they have been in repeat and I’m so looking forward to the album
The fizz cd all sold well in the uk sales chart the two a to z and in the Mirror went uk top 25 as did their greatest hits but in the usa only know for i hear talk a morning classic and New Beginning which got major usa and uk club play there usa album was a greatest hits there wrote Tina Turner classic what's love got to do w it as well as heart of stone a top 20 hit for Cher in the usa Billboard charts
It’s wonderful that she’s releasing albums and singles now. Just bummed she will not tour… just do a couple of shows in Los Angeles and New York Agnetha! Believe me they will sell out.
Much as that is a lovely dream, there is absolutely zero chance of that ever happening. If we discount the appearance with Gary Barlow, it's reckoned the last time Agnetha actually sang one of her solo songs fully live was way back in 1975. She readily admits she found the whole touring and performing live an uncomfortable experience.
I wonder whether Bobby's Brother will ever actually criticise anything they do. At present, I feel he's slavishly adoring rather than a discerning friend.
@@debs4672 If someone doesn't differentiate between excellence and mediocrity in the name of one-dimensional hero-worship, that's no more nourishing than knee-jerk negativity. Two sides of the same coin.
@@nickmailer1598I find Bobby’s enthusiasm very nourishing even when I disagree with his opinion. He finds something to love in every Abba song, and there is nothing wrong with it. He is a fan, not a music critic. And many of those miserable folks dismissed Abba’s pop excellence as bubblegum garbage on numerous occasions. A sublimely refined and balanced critique, if at all possible, may require a greater time distance. Personally, I prefer to err on the side of appreciation, but acknowledge your right to be vexed.
@@debs4672 You're perfectly entitled to find cult-like gushing nourishing. I find that when you treat every little piece of flotsam as if it is the next Day Before You Came, then it's like being force-fed candyfloss at every visit. Eventually you have enough. I guess you have a much more sweet tooth than I have. Or, frankly, Benny and Bjorn have - they're much more discerning and critical about their work.
I love the album, but that being said,I think she should have done a new album with new songs. Whether it was 12 songs or 6 songs, it would be a top seller.
There's nothing to talk about! This is NOT a new album, it is a horribly bastardised version of her last solo album, and no amonut of tinkering is going to make the old fashioned and weak 'Keep Them On The Floor' into a wanted song. But at least new single 'Where Do We Go From Here' replaces that song so now it's a 10 track album. But what a waste of time, far better spent getting the unreleased Frida songs from the 80s out, including 'As Long As I Have You' with Ratata on CD, and any later ones too-'Lieber Gott', 'Saltwater' etc., plus any leftover ABBA songs. Like 'I Believe In You'-the one rare song mentioned on Wiki and when it was recorded, but no other info about it, and it wasn't even on ABBA undeleted in 1994. No 'Ruby Jane' either. And STILL no sign of those 2 extra songs recorded for "Voyager". It's all so nauseatingly predictable the way these labels work.
Actually something was left out of Dance Your Pain Away. The bridge is gone. " Nothing He Got Nothing He Got Nothing He Got Nothing on You" Etc. Wonder why it was left out 🤔
It seems like each new single release demotivates me a little bit more from buying the album. "Where do we go from here" is an AMAZING and fresh single, quite contemporary track. "I should've followed you home" was an interesting twist, though it did not match the original. But I can barely listen to these last two singles. Auto-tune splattered everywhere, cold arrangements... To me, that IS taking the easy road. I'm not demonizing "A+", but I don't intend to buy it anymore.
Hej-hej, everyone! I really enjoy your take on "A+" and hearing your opinion, BB. But I have to be honest with all of you and say that the new approach doesn't resonate with me. Now, this is NOT in any way, shape or form a criticism of Agnetha or of this project! I really admire her for doing this and the hard work she put into it! And just to be clear, I love "Where Do We Go From Here"! But I just cannot really get into the new sound on the songs we've heard so far the same way I did in 2013. Like you said, BB, art is subjective, and I am happy that we are a community on here where we can discuss our opinions honestly. Again, I am happy for all of you who are looking forward to the album, but I still have mixed feelings about whether to get it for myself or not. I will have to wait until I have listened to the rest of the songs tomorrow.
I love these two new tracks, and enjoy some relief and restored faith in the A+ project. The Barlow duet redux really misses the mark in my opinion. One comment to make re: your comment on vocal effects... flanging tends to have more of a "hollowing out" effect on vocals, as artificial reflections are added to the original sound which cancels out parts of the frequency spectrum (due to phase cancellation) as it cycles through. The vocals on the new version of DYPA do have autotune on them, as well as some subtle chorus/doubling on them. Autotune can be used as a vocal effect by "quantising" the natural glissandos in a vocal performance into discreet steps. This gives the slightly robotic effect that you can hear on Agnetha's vocal in places Cher's "Believe" was a prominent early example of using the Autotune effect for something other than pure pitch correction, as well as a blatant uncredited sampling of "Prologue" from ELO's Time album, but that's another story! In summary, it is not true to say that Autotune hasn't been used, as it is the device/plugin which does the quantisation as described above, but it is also true to say that Agnetha doesn't need pitch correction. That's not the purpose of the plugin here.
Sorry Bobby love your content but this one I can not agree on the new "recordings/mixes" are just crap... and thats me putting it nice... I have previously worked with artists from Warner Music, Zomba and EMI and this is shameful to be released... I am not knocking Agnetha's vocal the girl can sing but the mixes could have been done better by a teenager on a laptop they are tragically bad. Who ever thought this was release standard or quality was fooling themselves and it should never have been green lighted...
I think we need to be honest with ourselves. Agnetha's voice is not what it was. I first noticed this when she sings the word "park" on the ABBA track Don't Shut Me Down. Her voice is now a little croaky. Despite patronising people saying she still has the same voice, the reality is that she doesn't. It's just the inevitable process of ageing. The A+ album has highly tweaked vocals to compensate for this and the fact that it's a rehash of a 10 year old album says that they were incapable of finding new material for her. Sorry if I sound blunt but sometimes the truth hurts.
I think you miss the concept of autotune. but she is old lady now. no one in this age is able to sing clear stable voice. it's natural ageing process. the vocals are deliberately processed into something bearable. And I don't want to diminish Agetha's incredible cultural impact and her perfect voice back in the day, that was pitch perfect. Undoubtedly. This is why I think the A album was better, because it was less processed
ℹ absolutely love the new version of PITB …its an interesting take . DYPA far less presently …in first listening it’s been re-worked un-necessarily . I’m looking forward to the whole album . Hoping they’ll be a brand new album following this in time .
I agree with you, Bobby's Brother: I also love the relaxing athmosphere of Agnethas new Versions. And I love the refreshing, playful attitude, to rework her songs and also redefine herself through it. In my opinion, Agnetha still is the queen of pop music! ❤❤❤
I love the two new versions of Perfume in the Breeze and Dance your pain away but not so keen on I should of followed you home, can't wait hear Bubble and Past forever. Overall a good new modern vibe to the songs released so far.
I think I have changed my mind, I prefer the new A+ songs. I didn’t like the feel of A - it is too middle of the road and sounds lazy. The new album is much fresher. But her best solo album is My Colouring Book - by a mile, because the songs are better and she does them so well
I know there's something going on was a Billboard peaking at 11 but went gold as a single due to Frida album did not do as well as Agnetha Fältskog wrap your arms around me did both sold well and went top 100 album on Billboard magazine lay all your love on me hit 1 on the official Billboard dance chart sad never a usa single so got major airplay but on usa radio and clubs but never charts on the Billboard hot hundred but helped make super trooper one of ABBA biggest Usa selling album hitting the 16 spot the album hit Billboard 12 i believe and Voyage 2 gold is still on the Billboard top 200
I adore « A » as an studio intimate style and I love “A+” as it has aquired a sound even more suitable for a disco. I agree with you that “A+“ is “relaxing” 🙌 (yess, that was my feeling too) and “A” is so moving 🙌
OLA AMIGO ESTÁS BOM ,ESTÁ CHEGANDO AO DIA PARA MAIS UM LINDO DIA PA AGNETHA ,E PARA NÓS FÃS INCONDICIONAIS, DIA 13 ESTA A CHEGAR TENHO ESPERANÇA QUE LÁ ESTARÁS POR NÓS, UM ABRAÇO AMIGO 😊
You took the words right out of my mouth.
Я поколение 70х, люблю классический стиль исполнения Агнеты, мне это достаточно. Новое пусть будет для молодого поколения. Благодарю за работу брат.
I also loved the video to if you love someone a easy listening usa hit
Pitch correction and autotune are not one in the same thing. And there was a TON of pitch correction on Agnetha’s vocals on Voyage. It’s fairly easy to spot if you know what you’re listening for. Autotune is different. While it also adds pitch correction, it’s adds a robotic sound which was applied to these new mixes. I’m not saying it’s a bad thing (and so many artists use both approaches now) but there is no point in denying it is used here.
Perfume in The breeze is so different to the original. This sounds new and a complete different song. Dance the Pain Away still sounds the same but fresher.
Love that thumbnail photo.Should have been the album's cover inmo.
Great beats to the songs but not of fan of the parts sounding like she’s singing through a telephone. Optimistic gif the ballads though!
I love the new single where do we go from here and wish there was a totally new song dance away your pain was bbc 2 A list hit 1 on BBC 2 the one that i loved and if you love someone were bbc 2 A LIST i should have followed you home never A or B listed and it got to 99 on the bbc official chart due to download i prefer the new version of i should have followed you home and hopefully it will get a great cartoon video as they did with were do i go from here is a Voyage deluxe in the works and if so 5 or 6 new songs ABBA always keeps us guessing fans of Abba should also listen to the new Fizz album the fizz were Buck fizz another euro contest winner whom i follow both Agnetha and bucks fizz had big gay club dance hits esp i can't shake loose hit Billboard top 26 and 20 on cash box while wrap your arms around me a major morning classic at both the saint disco in new York city gone now and Heaven disco k
In the uk i was lucky to get bsck stage when ABBA was in the USA at radio city music hall thanks to my Uncle Rudy got me two tickets and back stage passes as i did Dj work on Sunday tee dances and community center dances at the center
Uncle Rudy, please buy your nephew a new phone on which the full stops on the keyboard work! 🙏
Well said!
I’m thrilled that she is recording again, having that voice at her age is incredible, and I’m super excited waiting for the album. ❤
Isn’t this just milking it. Have no intent of buying anything to do with this. Love the original too much
Absolutely agree with you 100% these new versions are absolutely awful the original was superb and it shouldn’t have been re done it’s not needed, what’s needed is a whole new album of 10 songs that’s what we want more than anything.
I have to say, from what I've heard I much prefer the original. It's a great pitty she didn't do all new songs 😢
I must agree with you on one point: I would rather have this new and, at least in my opinion, exciting sound on an album with completely new music!
Agree 100%
Agree with you
Would have loved new material from Agnetha but it is a new project!! The lead single is new. Maybe there could be more singles done to add to the project
The new versions are great! A fresh modern vibe! And the vocal production works perfectly with Agnetha's voice and I'm loving the relaxed electro vibe
I completely agree! Greetings from Northern California 😎
I do agree with your inverted commors over the word “singers”!!! Yes, we do all have our own personal preferences and I do respect yours, too, so no, I won’t shut you down!
What's the difference between remix and re-do? The voices wasn't re-recorded. Only modified. 5:21
For the 1st time in years I am reserving judgement or opinion.
I really do not like the new versions of the A songs! They sound cheap and with no warmth! Someone has misled Agnetha to do this!
No, they haven't and the two new versions sound great!
I agree!
I don't understand the negativity coming from so many people over these new song versions. These new ones are a lovely bonus from Agnetha. Take it or leave it. No one is being forced to listen or buy them, and the originals are all still available. I don't get it?
I honestly really like these new songs, i think it's very interesting to hear more "modern" music from Agnetha, ireally enjoyed them so far ❤
The songs she has released are not as good as the original. However is still a great body of work!
Be grateful to have this new release from our beautiful Agnetha ❤!!!
If she's happy, then I'm happy! Are we getting an Agnetha interview Bobby??? Please tell me!!!
I don’t think she’s doing interviews.
@@bobbysbrother137 She'd give one to you!
@@christianoazzuro6711 That's what I was hoping for. It's about time someone from ABBA noticed the channel
Good infos.btw Any link?
Thanks again BB! I'm so anxious and can't wait to hear A+. With Agnetha involved, i know I will be pleased. You just can't miss hearing her Angelic voice!❤
I hope Agnetha watches this video from you. So respectfull and loving. Thank you.
Agreed. I don't understand this project at all. Plenty of negative comments on social media. This seems to be a quite polarizing offering.
Yes it’s awful just ruined the original versions and the duet with Gary Barlow has lost it’s urgency it’s now sounding like a limp piece of lettuce that is out of date on a plate with half a slice of ham that’s all rubbery and chewy urghhh.
Somebody bad advised Agnetha to mąkę this album. Its a pity
@@peterpegaz8950 Well it was Agnetha herself it was her idea to begin with what on earth was she thinking
Fair
Very nice and thoughtful comment. I feel we are privileged to have these 'new' songs from Agnetha.
i love your comment.
Looking forward the other upcoming songs.
I hope there is new music from Frida
DON'T DARE TO TOUCH AGNETHA'S MAGNIFICENT VOICE!!!WE DON'T TOUCH GOLD!!!
No one is "touching it".
Thanks for this great video! Love that you are keeping it positive. I personally LOVE all 4 new versions on A+ a lot!!! Can’t wait to hear the rest!
Мне очень понравилась скользящая легкость и воздушность всех новых песен. Они создают ощущение парения над землей) Это хорошо))
I absolutely love the new versions!
My favorite video solo from Agnetha Fältskog was i won't let you go based losly on Olivia Newton-John s physical
I like the two new singles. I would love them if they would have left the vocals alone.
first
Parabéns está maravilhoso Agnetha sucesso estou com vocês ABBA sucesso pra todos ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ amo vcs!
Love the new versions so far and the brandnew song as well! And I am looking forward to hear the complete Album A+!♥️
I wonder whether Bobby's Brother will ever actually criticise anything they do. At present, I feel he's slavishly adoring rather than a discerning friend.
Let him adore. Plenty of default negativity out there. Bobby reminds us that there is a lot to be grateful for
@@debs4672 If someone doesn't differentiate between excellence and mediocrity in the name of one-dimensional hero-worship, that's no more nourishing than knee-jerk negativity.
@@nickmailer1598no, nothing will ever touch The Day Before You Came. I draw the line there. Thank you for clarifying your position. Good Day to you
I love the album, but that being said,I think she should have done a new album with new songs. Whether it was 12 songs or 6 songs, it would be a top seller.
Maybe she doesn't feel like doing a heap of new songs?
I see the man is wearing the headphones the same way Agnetha does. Must be an honorary thing.
😅 I" ve noticed that too
There's nothing to talk about!
Just received the vinyl album A+ and A. Looking forward to playing them
I think you miss the concept of autotune. but she is old lady now. no one in this age is able to sing clear stable voice. it's natural ageing process.
the vocals are deliberately processed into something bearable. And I don't want to diminish Agetha's incredible cultural impact and her perfect voice back in the day, that was pitch perfect. Undoubtedly.
This is why I think the A album was better, because it was less processed
Love this new versions, feel so fresh, makes me happy👍🤗❤
ℹ absolutely love the new version of PITB …its an interesting take . DYPA far less presently …in first listening it’s been re-worked un-necessarily . I’m looking forward to the whole album . Hoping they’ll be a brand new album following this in time .
Thanks Bobby for your opinion. Agnetha has a wonderfull voice at these age, I love it.
Love her and her voice
I'm not familiar with A+ but interesting as always BB+ 👍
I agree with you, Bobby's Brother:
I also love the relaxing athmosphere of Agnethas new Versions.
But her best solo album is My Colouring Book - by a mile, because the songs are better and she does them so well
Just autotune and "music on a box", so sad
Agree☹️
🧩👍🖐️
Auto Tune , NEVER Agnetha has been known since her days of J.C.S. has having Pitch perfect , Perfect Pitch .a true POP anomaly.
I forgot i won't let you go was also a usa dance hit
Say what???? lol
I adore « A » as an studio intimate style and I love “A+” as it has aquired a sound even more suitable for a disco. I agree with you that “A+“ is “relaxing” 🙌 (yess, that was my feeling too) and “A” is so moving 🙌
I like all the new versions and the all new song. I don't understand why they messed with her voice.
I love these versions more than the originals keep up the good work agnetha the dancing queen
OLA AMIGO ESTÁS BOM ,ESTÁ CHEGANDO AO DIA PARA MAIS UM LINDO DIA PA AGNETHA ,E PARA NÓS FÃS INCONDICIONAIS, DIA 13 ESTA A CHEGAR TENHO ESPERANÇA QUE LÁ ESTARÁS POR NÓS, UM ABRAÇO AMIGO 😊
