@myklmusic - no doubt. I remember talking my friends into going to see a RHCP gig for the first time after hearing only 1 song (Black-eyed Blonde). It was $8 so they said "these guys had better be good!" - They did not disappoint.

Some glimmers of light on Californication and By The Way, One Hot Minute is pretty slammin too. John and Dave took the reigns on those albums for the most part. Whatchu Thinkin' has sick arpeggios throughout it but yeah you gotta dig.
They don't vibe anymore with the lyric content from the older songs, you can see it in Flea's face when they played Sir Psycho Sexy at their most recent Silverlake gig and the fan base that pays $100+ a ticket wants the hits
