Linda used to be so good on this show, but it ruined her -- the bad writing, the frozen acting style the producers eventually demanded. And no one suffered more than Krystle... If you watch her scenes from the first two seasons, it's like a completely different actress..
Linda Evans was never a real good actress, her acting skills were very limited. I have always thought this way, and some time ago I stumbled in one short interview of John Forthsithe talking about his Dynasty colleagues, and referring to Linda Evans he literally said: "she was certainly not a very good actress, but she was ok..."
After having seen Dynasty recently, my biggest wonder was "Why did they take 8 years to get rid of Krystle?" Did Linda Evans have some tremendous star power that drew audiences in with her fame alone, despite her lacking skills? She was always such an elephant in the room. Every single scene with her is always so strained. Every actor is always dancing around her, unsure on how to act next to a non-actor of this scale. Every director has to invent complicated camera work to hide her inabilities, and to use camera direction to fake her abilities. The CAMERA WORK was usually a better actor than Linda Evans :D
