I’m 2 months postpartum right now and can totally relate to everything you’re saying. It’s so hard for us to see ourselves in a positive way when we look in the mirror and don’t recognize the image looking back at us. You’re such an inspiration to me and so many other mamas. Thank you for sharing your heart in such a real and honest way!

    Thank you Morgan!
I’m 27 and my first baby is 3 months old. I cried whilst watching this video as I completely relate.
Trying to adjust to my new body is such a challenge. Not to say I’m not incredibly proud of what my body has done, but I agree- post partum is hard
Thank you for speaking about this, we aren’t alone!

Sending lots of hugs and good vibes. I know you know a lot of women feel this way and are on this journey right with you. Be kind to yourself and cry when you need to. Hug those sweet kids and wonderful husband of yours. You got this Momma!

I am with you Momma! I am almost 2 years postpartum with baby # 2. I have been so much more self conscious about my body this time around. Its so hard not to compare to others. Your husband is so attracted to you because you have bared his children, and NO ONE will ever have that on you, no matter what you look like! PS: this video makes me wants to stay home today from work, and spend the day with my kiddos!

4 months PP and let me say I'm so happy how open your being with all this because I've been feeling the same way. I felt so alone even though I know I'm not ! Alot of women just aren't open about this topic. Especially in my family where your blamed for eating too much while pregnant and now your not working out with a baby. Like i just gave birth to a whole baby I dont need the negativity. Sorry about my ranting im just saying I'm glad I'm not alone and thank you for being open 💪🏽💪🏽❤❤

Girl. You look great! We are our worst critics and feel like we look worse than we are. I’m in this stage as well and 4 months PP. I’m having a hard time getting motivated to workout and eat healthy and I feel like I’m always telling myself “I’ll start next week”.. time just flies by though! You are a great mom and we are all cheering you on 😊

Morgan, I am 55 now and felt the exact same way you are feeling when I had my girls 27 and 29 years ago. And yes, I've cried in a dressing room while trying on clothes and I avoided going out to social functions because I was so down on myself after having babies and not taking the extra weight off as quickly as I had hoped. And my husband was in great shape.... which didn't help the way I was feeling. So..... years later, I'm still married to the same wonderful and supportive man and my girls are beautiful, kind, caring and successful women. Moral of the story...... you raise those beautiful children, trust in your marriage and years from now, you'll know that a few extra pounds on the scale didn't stop you from having your own successes and being the beautiful and kind and loving mom, wife and woman that you are.

I feel this so deep! I'm 7 months pp with my first child and while I'm in awe at what my body has done I'm majorly struggling to learn to love it. I love mom vlogs and family channels but it's so hard not to compare your family, or your marriage, or your body. Thank you for being so open. You helped this struggling mom 💕

THANK YOU! I am 3 months PP with my first and I feel like I’m having to learn to love a whole new body. I’ve always been curvy too and it took me a long time to love the body I had before pregnancy. But NO ONE tells you about this part of pregnancy. Thank you for validating my feelings and making me feel like I’m not alone. I feel like I’m going crazy sometimes and it’s so nice to hear this. So thank you again.

This video really touched me. I am pregnant with my first child, I am 25, and the week before I found out I was pregnant I hit my -60 pounds goal. I pushed so hard on weight watchers and was finally loving my body and feeling so confident. I am currently 31 weeks pregnant now and have gained almost more than half of what I have lost. It has been such a struggle, I see all these youtubers that are my age with this perfect little basketball belly and their bodies go back to normal and I know I am not going to be like that and am already struggling with my confidence. I try my best to focus on the end of my pregnancy and should be so grateful for being told by my doctor everything is healthy and to keep doing what I’m doing. Thank you for being so real and raw, new subscriber and love your channel! ❤️

I cried with you! I'm 4 months post partum with my second. My hair is falling out in clumps and I'm so feeling I'm not myself. I am still pumping so I feel like hormones are playing a role. I look at myself and dont necessarily see me! It so hard. What a womans body does after baby doesnt just stop after baby is born! Being a momma isn't easy. I have to keep reminding myself that its okay to take time for myself and its critical that me and hubby have time to ourselves to make sure we are connected.

    • @MorganBylund

Nicole Reynolds YES!! Take that time for yourself and as a couple. Those are the moments you need MOST after feeling like this. Remind yourself of who you are and why you love so hard. Being a mama is the most rewarding and exciting experience but also confusing and emotional. All the love mama 💕

Please, please, please know you aren't alone thinking and feeling this way. I just had my first and last baby boy on April 5. I have always been an athlete and was still running half marathons up until 7 months pregnant. I thought that come 6 weeks postpartum I'd be pounding the pavement again.
Boy was I wrong. It has taken me almost 4 months to start feeling human again. I had 2 bouts of Mastitis and postpartum is HARD! No one tells you how hard it is. Postpartum for me has been harder physically and mentally than be pregnant. I have anxiety through the roof! I don't know or understand why postpartum recovery is never addressed or talked about but it should be.
Hang in there! You are beautiful and doing absolutely FANTASTIC!

We all have struggles that others don’t know about. My sister is the opposite body type, size 3/5, but she had the hardest time getting pregnant and I was blessed with not having that struggle but I have always struggled with my weight. I’m 4 mo PP and just jumped on the workout train but I had the hardest body image after my daughter was born. I spent a lot of days not even looking at myself in the mirror. (I have stretch marks on my stomach that looks like I got attacked by a bear). That feeling slowly faded away, PP is really hard. I’m so glad you were so willing to be vulnerable.

This is so honest! I appreciate your ability to be candid about your feelings. So many women feel this way after having a baby, you are certainly not alone. One thing to think about is those articles you’re seeing about men leaving their wives.... you’re going to see more them. Everything we touch online influences what we see in the future. I have had some post partum anxiety and now all I see are articles about babies who have been neglected, abused, left in hot cars, drown etc. The internet knows that I am drawn in to those stories so I see more of them. It’s creepy and we have to be aware of how we are being targeted to feed on our fears. Second, I know body image is a huge deal. One thing that has helped me in the past is following accounts of body positivity and radical self love/acceptance. I used to think following weight loss pages would help but it just fed my disordered thinking. I love to exercise too and think fitness is great! But it’s also cool to see women loving themselves the way they are. It’s helped me “fake it until I make it!” Thank you for sharing with us!

I think you’re super woman Morgan.
    1. You’re a mom of two under 4
    2. You work full time
    3. You’re probably taking care of the most of the household things
    4. And still try and eat well and exercise.
From a first time mom of a 2 1/2 month old, I think you’re amazing, don’t beat yourself up, you look fabulous. I was just thinking you looked like you’re losing the weight.

Ok not even fully done with the video yet but GIRL. We must be related. Currently very pregnant with #3 and you took so many words right out of my mouth. Genetically I’m very similar to you in how my body responds to “bouncing back” (or lack thereof) post pregnancy and I remember you talking about your nursing struggles that we’re very similar to mine as well. It’s so hard to watch your body go through all of the ups and downs of having babies. I’m huge and preggo right now and I wish I had more encouragement but I just want to say you’re not alone and I feel the same way! I often feel like the “big mama” in a city full of women who seem like they must live at the gym or just have the genetics of a Barbie bc it seems like I’m surrounded by tiny moms and that makes it that much harder.. especially when you feel like you’re doing everything “right”. Anyway, thank you for being transparent! You’re not alone!

Girl. You are literally reading my heart and mind right now. This is EXACTLY what I’ve been struggling with now being four months post partum with my baby boy. I had lost 35 pounds before I got pregnant and found this really healthy consistent exercise routine and was eating really well and felt so good. Now I’m still struggling to lose the baby weight (it’s been so hard to lose weight while breastfeeding) but it’s mostly the sagging skin on my tummy I have now and the lose skin. It’s just something I’ve never seen before in myself and it’s a huge shock. The stretch marks don’t bother me either! It’s just sort of the shape and the “blob” of skin that was once the home of my sweet boy. It’s such a weird line to walk between loving what my body did but not loving what it left me with. I’m so eager to get back to feeling good but I also want to love my body exactly as it is and not say to myself “I’ll love my body when...” I’m right there with ya girl, let’s keep getting after it and work towards our goals and try to also love our bodies in the process❤️

I’m 6 months post partum with my first and I’m really struggling with the way my body looks now. I gained 80 lbs while pregnant and am used to being very little and now I’m wearing an Xl. It was definitely worth it but I struggle with being confident every single day.

Oh, girl. I’m right there with you. It took me about 2 years after my first to finally feel somewhat normal. It was a new normal, though. Then I got pregnant again and watched what I ate. But I’m still in this weird postpartum land and it gets frustrating sometimes.
Please know that you are beautiful, strong, and worthy of love! You are an inspiration to me. Do you follow thebirdspapaya on Instagram? I recently found her and she is great for body positivity. Allison Kimmey as well!

Dear sister, this is not going to be a popular opinion but I do not say it to offend AT ALL. I am almost exactly like you size wise and postpartum. I used to worry about my husband finding other women attractive for years. I’ve prayed for years for God to remove that insecurity. Finally, I have come to accept that yes, there are gorgeous women out there and yes our husbands will notice but we are not his thought police and if my husband does leave me I thank God that I know that is his sin he is accountable for and I did nothing wrong and pray for them, that’s it. Thank God that your husband is a good man and eat healthy. If I eat healthy I still don’t lose weight! That’s difficult but I have more energy. Focus on your interior self just as much as your exterior because dear sister, that may be your key to acceptance of things we can change and cannot change. From one postpartum sister to another. xoxo
ps-I bought a whole bunch of new clothes from Amazon for back to work. It was either that or stress out over trying to lose the weight to fit into my old clothes. They were work stretchy business pants , i can send you the link if interested because once I lose weight they will still fit.

I had a baby 7 weeks ago. I weigh less now than when I got pregnant and I STILL struggle with body image. I’ve always been slightly overweight and I’ve always wanted to wear shorts in public. I feel so self conscious of my dimpled thighs... I’m so discouraged that I’ll never have the body I want. I understand how you feel, postpartum is so very hard on a woman’s mind and body. Hang in there and be consistent. Positive in, positive out. You can do this and we can love our amazing bodies at every single stage in our journey💕
ALSO! Your freckles are SO lovely. You’re very naturally beautiful.
