That is a beautiful frame. I love the construction.
I like the looks of this frame... Do you have the measurements for how much space is underneath? I want to find out if I'm able to get the vacuum under it. Edit: I found it on their website, 9 inches.

The Tatami Bed from the Futon Shop is pretty neat. Not as expensive when it goes on sale, slightly cheaper material and doesn't have the felted slats like the Thuma but its got the same joinery method on the feet and railing. Takes the same amount of time to put together so long as you don't crossthread the cam locks it comes with. It comes with an allen key too.
Valyou sells one similar. The Charm 2.0
Silk & Snow sells one.
They do! Tatami Room. $600-800 less and been around for 24 years as opposed to 6 year old Thuma. Best quality but long wait times to get. Like 6-12 weeks. Made in America out of California.

I would say it has more space underneath than any similar competitor I could find. Couple that with having just one support pole in the middle and you have a much easier to clean bed frame.
I have a king size with headboard in espresso and I love it! I also have the mattress and it sleeps like a dream.
What kind of mattress are you using with your king size? I was wanting to use a memory foam.

Really would like to know EXACTLY what they rate this bed for weight wise. Saying it "feels" supportive is not really that informative. Thuma needs to specify a weight rating, as some 10-12" latex mattresses can weigh up to 200 lbs. in king size. Also what's the spacing between slats? That's pretty important too, less than 3" spacing is ideal in the industry for heavier mattresses without boxsprings.
I read somewhere it's 1500lbs 🤷🏻 seems like a lot so idk

How stable is the pillow board? Also does the mattress shift around on platform or does it sink in platform making it stable?
The mattress I have is very stable on it. Bed doesn't shake. We used the pillow board which is fine. It's very easy to put together and feels nice.

Great question. This bed does not require a box spring, and according to Thuma they actually recommend not using one.
Wish they make one with storage pullout drawers all around
They sell drawers as an add on. Like 500 for two drawers
If you don’t mind things like screws and longer setup you can get an similar looking setup for half the price

It's pretty obvious that with a thicker mattress the headboard is nearly all buried behind the mattress. It simply is wrong.

I just bought the full bed frame with a discount. Debated getting the queen but it would have been a bit tight in my room. Also the measurements for these bedframes seems a bit larger compared to US sizes. The full equates to about what a queen size is. Looking around for different mattresses though. Not 100% sure about the Thuma mattress.

WHY was the Thuma mattress looking like that, LOL! I have it and once it's fully decompressed, it should NOT look like that. My first one had to be sent back, so I don't know if you guys got a dud like I did at first, or what...but looking at it like that would DEFINTELY make me NOT want to buy it.

They also charge $895 for a headboard. Ridiculous
is not even actual solid wood, is mango wood which is soft lol and they want $1800 for the bed with headboard no way jose
its more dense than other soft woods. that is why they use it.
I like platform frames, (no box spring), BUT, it must have a “lip” so the mattress does not move around. This is a true FLAT platform frame. So, it’s a hard pass. 👎

Yes it should be $500 and if you get the wood head minaret it’s more it’s $1,950. The fabric headboard is $1.195
My most expensive beds were lower cost competitors. I had to replace them within two years. Only advantage here is one and done. Don’t buy things twice.
Compared to an all metal frame… this is much more expensive

I recently bought a Thuma mattress and the mattress smelled like rubber months after, as of now they are telling me that I cannot get a refund. This product is obviously defective and off gassing. DISHONEST COMPANY!
I own a 100% organic latex mattress from another company and it never really stopped smelling.

@@Taniesha__ It's not about the look, it's about having storage space underneath but also being able to have sex on the bed without it making noise. That's all I want 😆 I found exactly what I was looking for at Get Laid Beds. Wood platform bed, 16 inch height.
