Nice tutorial! If someone has problems to connect or LiveLink doesn´t show up in UnrealEngine than you have to set the connection type to "Remote Session" in the LiveLink VCAM app! Cheers!
Thanks you're a lifesaver! It used to work no problem for me and I couldn't figure out while I couldn't connect anymore. After changing the connection type it fixed it for me!

My ipad connects but the gyroscope or any movement does not work. Also, when I touch a button on the ipad app, it only open on my UE5 desktop and not on the ipad? How would you fix these things?
with this connexion is it possible to make interaction ? like use the ipad for example as a monitor interface with buttons, and when we press a button, it makes something in the game (on the pc) ? for example a button "light on" and it will light on the room in the game ?

can you please make a tutorial on how to make this : for example make interaction between the ipad and the computer. for example if the ipad is used as a ui design, and when we click on a button, it for example open a door in unreal (pc). do you think its possible ? I can pay for this

I don't think you can have 2 iOS devices running at the same time with this. It's not made for super intensive workflows like that. You can do that with VR Headsets which I have a video coming in the coming weeks for however.
Anyone else having issues of everything working until you touch any of the controls on the iPad/iPhone? Mine crashes immediately after touching anything on the screen.
The app does still sometimes seem a bit buggy. Sometimes doing the old trick of turning it off and on again has worked for me but unfortunately it doesn't seem like a production ready/stable enough tool to fully rely on yet. It still does a pretty decent job when it does work tho.

Hey, had the same problem and you could try what I did: Make sure you are using the same Wifi as the machine on you're running Unreal. Next, make sure your IP address is correct. You can find it on windows using the command prompt and typing ipconfig. When the text info churns out copy the IP4V address as your target IP. Also Make sure you have checked off all Apple plugins required. This worked for me after several attempts.
@@hymenrecords Thank you for the reply. I actually fixed it the same day by turning off any type of firewall and turning off limit IP tracking on the Ipad (I'm not sure if it does anything) but it worked after doing the same steps completely from the beginning. If I turn any firewall setting on, the problem happens again so I know for sure it's that.
It works best on an isolated router connection, and even better if you have a Wifi 6 connection. That could potentially be the reason why it's not showing up too.
@@JovanTutorials I’m having the same issues with UE5 not seeing mg iPad after entering the IP. (all plugins are installed) I’m ethernet networked from my PC to the router (work machine) and do not have access to wifi from the PC - so is this setup only possible to work over Wifi?
