Amazing video, I have so many questions as well but I don't wanna throw them all at you so I'll stick to the most important ones! I'm currently on my final year of uni and up to now I was going for environment art until I discovered layout a few months ago. I'm in a very difficult spot where I already have a decent environment portfolio and I could either keep doing environments to maximise my chances of getting an internship and start somewhere even if it's not really what I like to do as much, or just focus on layout from now until summer and try to make it. It's an incredibly tough decision because I have no idea what the demand is as I'm a student in Montreal trying to break in. Is there a lot of demand for layout in animation, how does it compare to environment? Is it smart and viable to go for layout to break in or is it more strategic to break in with environment? And finally for my question specifically about rough layout, do you build the environment first and then do characters/cameras, or the opposite? I struggle a lot because I always am tempted and want to build my environment around the shot (so set up the cam and characters blocking and then build the environment around it) but I feel like it might be a bad idea because it takes up exponentially more time to be doing it all at once and going back and forth to tweak. Do you think I should limit myself to finishing the enviro first and then go to cam and Chara? Sorry for the very long text, it's really hard to find this kind of info online so any help would really be amazing! Thank you and happy new year 😁

For example there is a RTS game tournament game happening , being streamed in youtube, and i want to show that live streaming inside unreal engine as well. i have seen several tutorials that shows how to show a youtube video , but not a streaming LIVE video happening real time and i dont know if it is the same thing?

So I don't think I have the know how but what I wish I could do is set up a shooter. My gun has a dry fire bullet that will shoot a little red dot to practice without live ammo. I want to make a camera that detects the addition of a red dot in a live feed and can instantly run that into a game. I'm not sure how to do that but it might be a fun way to train if I can figure it out

My tracker is not updating in editor, preventing me from recording headset movement data. When I 'preview VR' however, I am able to walk around in-game in VR as expected. Anyone know what I could be doing wrong? I set my tracker BP's Subject Representation to follow /user/head. I am in 5.3

I've watch over 10 videos on how to do this and this is the first time loop tools have been mentioned. What a great add-on, and a great tutorial. Other tutorials either don't understand what attach head to body means or they take an hour doing it. The methods shown here are quick and simple and the tutorial is exact to the point. And +1 for no dad jokes which seen to be very popular among other tutorials I've seen.
