You could do that, but it is quite difficult to get the cut wires into the drill holes, as they're too short to hold easily. I have managed it, when one fell out on me, but only with my pliers and it took a while! So it is just easier and quicker to cut them once they are in place.
I love watching your videos, you can make anything look easy ☺️another stunning piece of jewellery 👍 I've been learning a lot from your videos, thank you for the great videos BTW. This time I have a question :what drill did you use in the video? I've been looking for a good hand drill for a while now , if you could recommend one, I'd really appreciate it. 😀
Thank you! I'm glad you're enjoying the videos! I'm hoping to get a video series started soon on tools - if I can find a bit of time! This drill is a Foredom SR. It is a pendant motor, so needs some hanging space (and is not very portable) but it does seem to be regarded as the 'rolls royce' of pendant drills. I admit I did splurge a bit on it, but I love it! If you do go for a foredom, you also then need to decide on the handpiece you want. There are several, but my choice came down to the standard one or quick change (which I have). The standard has a chuck mechanism, which seemed a bit slow for me, but it can accomodate different mandrel sizes, where the quick change is limited to 3/32" mandrels. If you'd prefer a more portable hand drill, I think a dremel is a good choice. I haven't got one myself, but I've never heard anyone have issues with them. I hope that helps - let me know how you get on!
Lily-Tree, thanks very much for your reply, and keep shooting new videos for your fans 😀😀😀 BTW, just watched that fab wire unisex bracelet yesterday, really beautiful 👍😁
Hi! First of all, thank you for sharing ❤️ I'm totally gonna try it! It's just thank to people who share that I could learn so much! Secondly, I have a little question =) in the end you polished with which dremel head? It was so nice! Thank you very much, have a nice day!
Its a silicone rubber head with grit in it. It smooths out burrs and polishes metal well. After that, you can buff with soft cloth tips for a high shine. Buy these in bulk from Amazon. Look for Dremel polishing bits. Make sure if you use a Foredom handpiece that the shank fits.
I really like your teaching method. The voice over instruction is quite helpful. Thank you!
Loved the texture, so nice! Very sculptural piece. On to your riveting video. I love rivets!

Very nice presentation
wonderful job!
Loved it as usual💕
Thanks for the tut. Wondering why you don’t cut all the wire for the rivets at the same time using the first one as a template.
