In California I have special plates that say "Veteran"have the insignia of a unit I served under while in Iraq, and are customized with my job code from the Army.

On another note, it would be nice to also have a clear cover to protect your plates from road debris and insects.
I have a 2002 Audi TT with no front plate frame, but four holes, 10.25" apart horizontally and 2.25" apart vertically. Does anyone know if this will match up with the Euro frames I can buy online? The sellers don't say.

They are legal in the us but with exceptions. If your state only requires rear plates, a front euro plate like the one on this BMW is completely legal. I live in PA and they only require a rear plate, so I'm running German plates on the front of my Mk7 GTI. If you live in a state like NJ or NY that requires front AND rear plates to be displayed, it is illegal to run euro plates in either location.
I think you can get away with that, you just need your front plate to be visible at all times. That said, I wouldn't take my word for it and each state has it's own laws and each cop has their own mindset for if they would pull you over for it or not. I wouldn't risk it in a state that requires both, mostly because having two plates on the front of your car wouldn't look too good. I'm only running a euro plate on my GTI because it came from out of state and had the hole mounts in the bumper, otherwise I would've left it bare.

Well most Euro cars come with drilled holes and a bracket installed on the front bumper.

No. These frames are trash. A couple times through the car wash and you will lose your plate.

I lived in South Korea for 2 years and kept my license plate so when I returned to the USA I figured I'd display it on my vehicle.
I'd like to know how do you mount the german plate first, and then my California plate on top? My german plate has no holes for screws to go in.

why would you ever ruin the front of a car with a license plate if you're in a state that doesn't require them
euro plates looks cool tho, unlike these american plates that i think is too loud (too much images)
