This is probably my favorite kit so far. Just got it on the 12th and it’s definitely the most fun I’ve had building a kit. Yours looks much better than mine though.
Does building MG require glue and some specific tools?, bcs i don't have a proper tool for gunpla, i already built few HG version only using bare hands and a scissor😅,, I'm planning to get my first MG build tho
@@faridcostanza4706 it doesn't require anything special at all. I'd definitely recommend getting some nippers at least. I used copper wire cutters for the longest time and those served me just fine, so you don't need any special kind of nippers. I'd also really recommend some kind of knife to clean the nub marks, but nippers are definitely higher priority than anything else. Still, those are the same tools you'd need for any kit, and it'll still build just fine even if you don't meticulously clean every single part before you assemble.
I really love you builds! Very simple and so neat! Couple of questions though... 1. How much time you wait for the panel liner to dry before you clean with the thinner? 2. How do you decide when to use dry transfer and water slide decal? 3. Are you using only water in your water slides? I mean, i saw many people use like mr mark setter and softer, do you use them as well? 4. How much time you dry the clear green pain in the eye before you apply the black paint? And what thinner you use in removing the extra black paint in the eye? 5. In your next video, can you please include a small clip how you spray the parts with the clear matte top coat? Sorry for asking these much. I am new to this hobby and I just want to learn your builds. Keep the videos coming! More power to your channel!
1. It will dry very quick but mostly i wait 40-60mins 2. This kit came with some dry transfer decals and some many clear stickers. I dont like clear sticker so, I bought extra water slide decals which have almost same pattern with both given dry transfer and clear sticker. Dry transfer is better than water slide in term of result but it is more difficult to apply. So, I used some big dry transfer decals which easier to apply and used water slide decals for the rest. 3. I have both setter and softer. But I dont see much differences so, i dont use them. 4. It depends on how thick you paint. Mostly i wait at least over night. Clear green is acrylic paint. Black is enamel paint so, use enamel thinner. 5. I just got spray booth so, probably next video or after next video. No worries man. I willing to share my experience
From my experience, most cracks happened when the paint stuck in seam line rather than panel line. When the paint stuck in seam line, it takes longer time to dry which means more time to erode plastic. It could happen when you do panel line after assemble. It is better to do panel line before assemble for some parts. if you are not sure, just do panel line on each part first then assemble later

Hello there, first of all what a great buildings I already whatched all of them, one question what kind of water decals are you using ? You search for a generic water decals ?
Maybe its just the camera, but the _only_ thing that i dont think looks good (and everything else looks amazing) is painting the eyes. the foil sticker have this shine to them that catches the light and makes them pop imo. with the paint it gets hidden by shadow. just my opinion.
I understand it. There are pros and cons. Foil sticker looks good when it catches the light However, it is not that durable. especially, when stick it on small and uneven surface like the eyes. If it peel off, it will be hard to put it back. So I choose to paint it. Painting with clear color won't make the eyes pop unless when the light go through backside camera just like mg wing kits. For these mg seed, it doesn't. So, I could paint backside of the eyes with white color. It would help a bit. Another option would be just paint solid color but they give a clear part for the eyes, why don't we paint clear color?
the omni AND zaft decals on duel just hurts my ocd. i had these kits as non-stolen (aegis, strike, buster, blitz), and then the justice, providence and freedom as zaft kits. Joule is definitely zaft. decals and their meaning matters a lot. great vid otherwise.
Its amazing how simple panel lining, proper decal usage, and cleaning can make a gunpla look so damn clean and good.

What size of swabs do you use when cleaning the panel lines I might try it your way
I normally buy basic round ends with pointed ends.

Yes

It's not necessary to gloss coat bare plastic before doing decals, and matt coat always goes over decals to make them blend in better.
