To enable snac on the TurboGrafx 16 core: From the core menu select the hardware option, then select the USER I/O
option and change it to SNAC. Mentioning here since it's not as straightforward in the menu as it is with the other cores like the NES, SNES, Genesis etc.

That compatibility is a relief, but can I also map the b and a buttons for the nes core to be the y and b buttons on the snes controller with snac? I just don’t know what Nintendo was thinking when they made the dog bone controller and game boy button layout in a diagonal layout going the wrong way. Our right thumbs are positioned in a backward slash shape like the y and b buttons of a snes controller, not the other way.

I use a SNES to usb converter with the MISTer. It works perfectly. I have another SNES to USB adaptor which doesn't work (made by Raphnet). My PC Engine Raphnet adaptor doesn't work either. Isn’t it great when things just work? I love the capability of mister fpga, but user friendliness is the major advantage of a mini console over what we use. User friendliness is not to be underestimated. Seems too fitting that mister is Linux based. If there was a user friendly mister fpga with an appealing interface, the thing would be the best thing since sliced bread, but it would have to be really expensive to justify all of that work. What we get is already so remarkable, so I’ll still count my blessings and accept that countless hours of trial and error is the price we have to pay.
