So sorry for your loss, I lost my mom two years ago and every Christmas I miss her more. She always spent so much time decorating and making a Christmas a very special time for our family and she would bake and make everything homemade. She was a fabulous baker and made incredible butter tarts. I’ll never be able to make pastry like her but I keep trying. I use her recipes for gingerbread and for shortbread cookies for my grandchild. I can’t wait until she is old enough for me to tell her all about her great grandmother and what incredible stock she comes from. 🥰❤️🙏🏻🍁🇨🇦

Jessica, I am so sorry to hear about your Grandmother's diagnoses. I am going to have to ask my Mother where her copper molds are, I haven't thought about them in so long! Those pies looked awesome. It is fun to see what different dishes other people make during the holidays. Looking forward to the second Thanksgiving video. God bless you all!

Jess, I am very empathetic to your feelings about G-moms diagnosis. My Dad is 74 and was just diagnosed with Alzheimers in September. Its honestly a tough one. Keeping you all in my thoughts throughout this season. What a blessing you were able to spend some quality time with her ❤ recently.
Those pies look amazing! Well done! I like the idea of brining the turkey then smoking it. How delicious that would be. Ive not ever had green bean casserole. But that sure looked delicious. Thats an awesome pan Aaron gifted you, i love a pan that gives good caramelization to the food.
Take good care, my friend. Stay blessed. 😊

Hi sweet one! I am so sorry about your Grandma's diagnosis of Alzheimer's. My Dad had early onset Alzheimer's, so I know a lot about it. It is so devastating to the family, yet they are mercifully oblivious to their condition. I will hold you and the family in my prayers! I love all the recipes you are making for Thanksgiving. Ina Garten's green bean casserole is one of my favorites! It looks like you are well prepared for a lovely day!!! Big hugs and many blessings!

Wow just last week I found my mothers old jello recipe books and I had a damp eye moment also. A favorite was a favorite flavor with fruit cocktail added to it…..another recipe had cream cheese in it…..
Recently I watched a documentary about a 92 yr old lady who still lives alone on her very large farm cutting her own fire wood, hauling water and feeding her live stock. She parked on the main road because she didn’t have a drive so she walked quite a ways to get to her car…..her secret to good bones was 2 T of jello in warm water before bed each night…lol her favorite flavor was lime…….has to be the gelatin working for her bones.
My favorite pie is whole made chocolate with fresh whip cream on top and lemon with meringue…yum
