Can you wrap the insulation with heat-resistant plastic saran wrap?

Can we use a spray foam over the wire?
No. You must use the materials mentioned in the instruction manual - no substitutions. Product must be installed correctly for warranty to apply.
What about over a vinyl tube that isn't always full of water like a drain

Why at 4 or 8 o'clock vs 6 o'clock?
Testing indicates that self-regulating cable heats pipe contents better when placed at the 4/8 position vs 6 o'clock.
