Isn't it just wonderful to have your own space, who cares about old or not level, etc? During my lifetime I have learned valuable lessons, like to be thankful for a roof over my head. So, don't mind the people who haven't learned that lesson yet. I think you are making the very best of what you have and I love every bit of it, I think it looks cozy already.

The switch of the fridge and stove is so good!!!!
Try soaking the paper label off of your olive oil container. If there is residual glue, try goo gone or the oil to remove the sticky & reuse that same green container for your olive oil. Your new home is very cool.

I also am a fan of blue glass and your collection is just exquisite. I’m 74 years old and always learning with decor, I have two boys that are grown never a daughter. I think the word you may have been trying to think of for your grandpa’s blue glassware is “Cobalt”. I also noticed that pretty blue carnival glass dish on the top shelf as well and that is a great piece that transitions between the green of the walls and the other blue glassware. Love it all, Ann! I have the magnetic shelves on my refrigerator too. I have all my square bottles of spices on the shelves. I'm able to put two rows on each shelf. I also have my Pam spray and plastic squirt bottles of EVOO on them. I love them and they are quite handy being so close to the stove. Another plus is that a wooden dowel hangs across the bottom of the shelf and I can hang my paper towels there. Your kitchen is coming together nicely.

Prayers...I've been there were you are I moved out of a home I put 10,000 down to buy just to get away from an abusive man...I found a small place for me and my daughter 2 beds 1 bath rental....but 10yrs later I bought my own home and it's 3200 Sq ft so God blessed me and HE had to foreclose on my old house Nana haha...I love what you are doing to your own home...keep your head up and enjoy...yes it's hard but 1 day you will wake up and you haven't given it another thought....God's Blessings

The sage green and the window covers reminded me of my most favorite home when I lived in MI! I even had that same shelf concept and had clear Princess House servingware on 3 difference shelves. I used an island with two similar light fixtures too! You inspire me to do this when we buy our 1st home because we chose to rent until we knew it was time to settle down and plan for retirement.

Depression glass is something to have. My grandmother had ruby red, my aunt has royal blue. My mother had pink and light green glass pieces.
I love it...cozy and has a lot of character. We live in a small home (family of 5- 944 Sq ft with a partial finished basement) and we have always loved it. ❤

Looking great, I recently moved from a home to a smallish apt, with a bit of a small kitchen, I purchased from Amazon the magnetic paper towel holder, it works so great, so I don’t use the counter for that. I’m going to check out the ones you have also. You do inspire many⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Everything looks great. I love smaller spaces compared to large ones. Much more cozy.
Your cat is bringing you love tokens. We once had a hunter, too. She brought in mice, a squirrel and a hummingbird. All alive. She believed in catch and release! It was like a Disney movie trying to find the squirrel and get it back outdoors. Also one day she placed three deceased field mice neatly in a row on the outside doormat!
