I have no power to take ANYONE down. If Smith does indeed "go down", it will be as a result of what he teaches and has done to people, as well as the working of The Holy Spirit (who is working even now in the hearts and minds of TWOG church members).

OK let's take a look at the word of God - Paul called out people publicly for what they did. Some to their face (Peter in Galatians 2:14) and some he called out when they were not present to warn people of their contrary deeds (Hymenaeus and Alexander in 1Timothy 1:20). Now, had their contrary deeds been done privately, then Im sure Paul would have dealt with them privately.

Pastor Smith quoted Jude 24 in an attempt to challenge "We Fall Down". However, the key word in that passage is "able". In other words, God is able, or has the ability to keep us from falling, but just because God has the ability to do something, does not mean that he's going to do it everytime. Sometimes, he'll let us fall in order that we may attain a valuable lesson in a certain area. The good news is that in spite of the fall, he'll pick uo right back up.
Sadly, Smith doesn't get that.

But none of this is supposed to stop a preacher from declaring the word of GOD.
I do also believe that we should be humble or GOD will abase us...I agree many teachers and preachers have that problem...(I even have to ask for forgiveness from time to time for not being humble) .

This dude spoke the truth. Lexi is not right on this. He clearly spoke from the word and she didnt like it because she does not know the truth. It kinda upset me that she called out his members for not "moving" during worship. She judge them because they supported their Pastor. She like all of us still has work to do but we must be very careful when we have a platform.
Wait did this guy read Romans 7. Did he really say he never falls? The truth is even on our best days we miss God. we may not do the big things but even when we are not conscience of it we miss it.

Don't get caught up in the hype. Many do nt teach this because they R afraid of exposure. It doesn't seem right 2 our modern day belief system because we live in a time where we don't like 2 expose the truth. We live in a time where people would rather b quiet & just allow the devil run free without any warning. But if U R A true reader & believer of the Word, U know that Ministers exposing truth is biblical & sound. Only those that do not understand the Word have a problem with it

If we say that Adultery is not grounds for Divorce, then why would Old Testament Law (e.g. Deuteronomy 22:22; Leviticus 20:10) prounce a death sentence on the adulters. If God is against a married couple being seperated or divorced from each other because of Adultery, why seperate them via Death?
Lot of people had rings on their fingers that are not with the person they married. Rings don't make the marriage.

Again, the exception to the rule, and it says it in scripture, is marital unfaithfulness. Now, the text says "...if anyone divorces his wife...", but I think it would be safe to say that it also applies to husbands being unfaithful to their wives. Otherwise, we'd be dealing with a double standard.
Also, how then is God glorified by an abusive (physically, verbally, or mentally) marriage? In a sense, that could be under the "Marital Unfaithfulness" umbrella, as well.

However, the key words in that passage of scripture is "except for marital unfaithfulness". Meaning that cheating or being unfaithful to your spouse is the exception to the rule.
So then, if anyone gets divorced for that reason, according to THAT passage, they are not considered an adulterer or adultress.

Nope. Fornication is the word used. Adultery does not dissolve a marriage. Only death. Fornication is prior to the marriage. If the man finds that his spouse wife has committed fornication and is not a virgin, he can put her away.

THE REASON TONY SMITH DOES NOT WEAR A RING, is because he teaches that Christians are forbidden in scripture to wear anything gold. Sources have reported to me that SEVERAL married persons in that church have either taken off or GIVEN AWAY their wedding rings because of Tony Smith pressuring them and berating them in church for wearing them.
I dare Tony Smith or anyone from The Way of God Church to deny this. And they are further challenged to show where in scripture such teaching is found.

Adultery is not grounds for divorce??? Your definition of the word Fornication is absolutely correct. However, Matt. 19:9 "Fornication" is also used as a substrutom or "underlining meaning" for sexual activities which are done outside of marriage. If a man is married and has sexual relations with either a married or unmarried women (vice versa) the act is considered to be adulterous yes, but the act is also an act of fornication seeing that the two individuals are not married to each other.
Divorce is permitted only in the case of Fornication or Adultery, all other irreconcilable differences in a marriage that presents a hinderance or danger to either spouse is grounds for Seperation.
"And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery." (Matt. 19:9)

Same question to you. How do you interpret Matt 5:32?
Apparently I, and the majority of the Body of Christ, have it misconstrued.
So, then you agree that it's ok for someone to be cheated on and be abused, and they must remain married to that person.
Now Smith said that God is a keeper, and he very much is. However, he also gave us common sense, and anyone with common sense would NOT remain in a unfaithful, abusive relationship.
How is God glorified in that?

Now I would receive this pastor the way he is speaking the Word here. But the way that I have heard him on his youtube videos, is not positive. Doesnt the Bible speaks about with love and kindness have I drawn them? Doesnt it also speak about we shouldnt put others down to lift ourselves?It seems as though it is brought forth with hate, being proud, and not love. Be encouraged this is much better and the Word was good!

There is a seductive spirit here. When he keeps calling her "boo" (although I know the term is not sexual) there is something in his voice.. It ain't right, it just ain't right. Pastor Smith says that if someone has been cheated on by their spouse, they can separate, but cannot divorce. BUT,
Jesus said in Matthew 5:32,
"But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for MARITAL UNFAITHFULNESS (King James Version says "Fornication"), causes her to become an adulteress, and anyone who marries the divorced woman commits adultery." So, his arguement has been nullified by scripture.
Society has taught us that God ways has change and his word he didn't take that before time and he not going to Take No Mess After Time it's not what we want or what we say it's God's way I understand what you're saying I hear what you're saying but from the old to the new there was only one marriage if you marry a dog he's your dog until death do you apart when you say death do your part and don't stick with it you lying to God because the vowels that you took went straight to the Lord you don't have to stay with him but he is still your husband and he said you can reconcile but the word is the word so many pastors twist the word and the Bible said we would rather believe a lie than the truth but on the last day Judgement Day Will Come and someone will be right and others will be wrong don't be standing on the wrong side

Now when it comes to Mt.19...Though the word fornication there 4202...(this is a tough situation because though the concordance ref. words like harlotry idolatry adultery incest etc....) the passages that Messiah ref. in the law was dealing with there being no token of blood after the act of a man laying with his wife IT meant she fornicated during their betrothal i.e. she committed adultery against their union. Deut.22:13-21 but still he said what in Mt.19:3-12

TS was bringing up the marriage vows that ppl say about marriage. Ppl say til death do us part but then change marriages for convience. I believe in applying 1Pet.3:12-17 for marriage as well.
