Yeah, I really don't like the idea of having to grab a stranger's phone to check their rules, or having a stranger grab my phone the same way. For that matter, it also means that the only way you could know what you're up against is to buy the codex (Ignoring the existence of Wahapedia and similar), so you're effectively going in blind against any army whose codex you don't own. Your arguments for why you _don't_ think rules should be freely available online had better be pretty darned compelling. For that matter, there have been times in my playgroup where we've been pressed for time, and we've basically had to say "Okay, we're gonna just play it this way, and will come back to this for an exact reading in the future" due to the number of times rules conflict. When that happens, I want to be able to see exactly what those rules are later on. Even if I get thumped by something in a game, and the player was using the rules correctly, I might want to research exactly where those apply so I can avoid them in future.
