Hey, can you PLEASE do a review of Brave Faces Everyone by Spanish Love Songs?!?
@@ArkaeaFCL3 I already have...almost a year ago. And I've talked about that album in two videos. Smh...
@@RockedNet oh ok lol my bad
I love it the best album
Fantano hated it
I really enjoyed this album. Been Architects fan for a long time and while this record is not on the Hollow Crown or Daybreak or their last 3 records level, I don't mind them switching up their formula, especially if they still make good music and unmistakeably sound like Architects. I'll give it an 8 as well.
This album is much better than I expected it to be, the symphonic sections and horn sections, to the awesome choruses really help this album shine
Simon from biffy’s feature left me breathless.
Love Biffy
That feature was horrendous imo. Idk if that’s what he’s known for but it sounds like a dying cat
@@danielb2704 i think simon adds a lot to the song and its my fav of the album. The screams are different but awesome
Those screams are awesome.
Goliath is an awesome song 😁 Was quite surprised when I saw that Simon Neil was on the track, but I really like his vocals on it and it works quite well 😊
surprised you didn't like An Ordinary Extinction, personally it might be my favorite on the album
Same here, I absolutely love that song.
Super glad this album turned out the way it did. Architects have become one of my favorite bands since I heard Lost Forever // Lost Together and this album continues that winning streak after the trilogy. I was initially a bit skeptical by the longer tracklist and runtime, but the album has so much to offer that it never feels bloated or tedious to get through. I do kind of agree with you that this album could've maybe been stripped back a song or two, but that's a bit nitpicky of me. Some of my favorites are Discourse Is Dead, An Ordinary Extinction, Goliath and especially Demi God which really surprised me. I also really like Impermanence along with Winston McCall's feature, though I feel he could've had more time in the spotlight. Same with Mike Kerr's feature on Little Wonder. I would've loved to hear him playing bass on that song, giving it more staying power than just a vocal feature.
In short, For Those That Wish to Exist is another fantastic album from Architects, showing that they can try different things while still remaining themselves. I understand why many fans may not find it to be their thing, but it's FAR from being a sellout, no matter how much they think it is.
I give this a light 9/10,
Luckily I live in Australia and get to listen to Architects a day before The US does.
Personality I love the album can't stop listening to it
I was quite worried for the album ( i didn't like animals so much and i didn't like meteor at all ), but it was surprisingly good. Not as good as the latest three albums but really good anyway. It had both flaws and merits.
Flaws:
1)they tried to be a little too BMTH in this album. Tracks like meteor show it.
2)they lost that progressive sound that made them unique
Merits:
1) Sam using more clean vocals. They sound amazing
2) more experimental songs ( demi god and dying is absolutely safe are the perfect examples )
3) industrial and electronic sound, not as good as their progressive side but very good sounding too
4) the lyrics are always great
Finally, i give this album an 8,5/10. Very good, more than i had expected, but not even remotely as good as other albums of theirs
I don’t care what anyone says but the orchestral version of this album is a masterpiece. I feel like the addition of the orchestra makes the album 100x more effective in the sense of foreboding doom. I get goosebumps just talking about that album.
Great review, Luke. I very much agree with your points that you make in this album review. This is the first album I’ve listened to in full from Architects. I think it’s solid and very enjoyable, enough to a point that I’ll explore the band’s back catalog. For Those That Wish To Exist has everything that I enjoy the most about metalcore - heavy riffs, destructive breakdowns, catchy choruses. The vocals also really stood out as well. Great album. 4/5. Favorite songs: Impermanence, An Ordinary Extinction, Goliath, Libertine, Disclosure Is Dead, Black Lungs, Animals
This album is so good
He is amazing and is it definitely been playing it on repeat since it came out.
Loving the album it’s 🔥
Hey, can you PLEASE do a review of Brave Faces Everyone by Spanish Love Songs?!?
I don't know if he's going to do a review, but it was his number 1 album last year, so that should give you an idea on how he feels about it
...He did
Dude, you gotta review Currents' new album The Way It Ends. It's fire!
This makes me wonder how you would feel about Aurora by Annisokay (German band). The themes are somewhat similar and I wonder what your thoughts are about this band. Anyways, great album review as always^^
I've heard this album twice since it came out and I absolutely love it, to me there's not a single bad song on it, I felt the album flew by on second listen ❤ I think 'Animals' is an awesome song, I don't get some of the hate that it got from fans when it first came out. Guess some people can't accept change 🙄 I don't think Architects can do wrong. I reckon it's going to be one of the best albums of 2021 and on many top ten albums lists. Shame Anthony Fantano aka Needle drop classed the album as not good 😕 But what does he know.
Definitely agree with your review. Very good album not perfect, was a little too light for me at time and a song or 2 could of been cut off but I really enjoyed it
I love this album in its entirety, but with the idea that we are killing our world and we don’t have much time left, it shouldn’t be one of the longest albums I’ve listened to this year.
It was definitely more of a new experiment I found it interesting
It´s not their best album.
But Black lungs is one of their best written songs i think.
It´s such a good song, i realized it trippin on lsd, so it has to be true.
What's your favorite non-single from the album? My overall favorites so far are Meteor, Goliath, and Black lungs.
Black Lungs and Meteor are singles
I know and that's why I said overall favorites
My favourite non singles are an ordinary Exinction, discourse is dead and impermanence
GIVING BLOOD
@@joshualaynescarlett love that one!!!
Why do I get the feeling that ADTR & AFI are gonna be the opposite of this?
in which sense opposite?
@@Antizokker they're gonna be experimental albums that suck.
@@hellonurd8957 im sure most people probably know that the ADTR album is going to be absolutely abysmal
I think the afi album should be good, but the adtr album? .... I'm scared lmao
The question at the beginning of the year is..."is this worse than theory"
Not even close, This album is 10,000 times better than anything Theory could put out.
Metalcore with keyboards. Listenable.
I personally didn’t care for it. Some of the singles were good but it’s way too over produced. The last album balanced heavy and melodic expertly but not here
Progressive Rock .
2:23 nope I think of Micah Bell.
This sounds so phoned in compared to the last one.
Huge downgrade of an album for me, definitely not revisiting anytime soon. If anything I hope this is a transition album for them to grow and step up to fill in for the huge gap of their primary songwriter Tom. Dearly missed.
Honestly, wasn't a huge fan of this album. Thought the themes were handfisted and Sam's vocals didn't feel like they fit into the sound. The new sound isn't bad but it really didn't feel like had enough variety to justify 15 songs.
So this is Architects basically trying their hand lyrically at Gojira?
I feel like that's an insult to Gojira lol
@@Vortexgames1000 Maybe, but they're who I I automatically think of when I think of apocalyptic environmentalist metal bands
@@princealigorna7468 that's fair lol. I was just trying to be funny. U should try Earth Crisis if u enjoy those kind of themes
Lol, ehm what do you think Architects have written about before? :D Something completely different than Gojira? Did Architects also start supporting Sea Shepherd just today or what in your perception? Both bands have had a lot in common for a while now dude. :D
@@lazylegolars I didn't know. I've only ever been a casual fan
what album did you listen too? i heard a soulless, overproduced, and pathetic attempt at an album. the amount of auto tune is insane. Its so generic that even the heavier songs suck. i got halfway through goliath and stopped and deleted the album.
I listened to a much different album than you. I heard an album with great lyrics, lots of symphonic elements and string sections, wonderful horn sections, and awesome choruses. It doesn’t have to be heavy to be good, and bands making a softer and more experimental album does not mean it’s a cash grab/sellout.
@@martinjakab I don’t agree, architects really stands out against a lot of other generic metalcore bands
@@neneargueta8332 Which Metalcore bands do you consider Generic? Lots of Modern Metalcore and Deathcore is Truly awesome. Alpha Wolf, Spirit Box, Make Them Suffer, Darko US, Modern Chelsea Grin, New Bring me the Horizon, Whitechapel, you name it. Most of these bands are fantastic and I’ll take them over standard metal any day personally. Architects are great too, the new album is solid at best for me. It’s not groundbreaking imo, but it’s decent. If you ask me, the best albums of last year were Currents- The Way it Ends (Top Pick), Alpha Wolf- A Quiet Place to Die, Code Orange- Underneath, Loathe- I let it in and it took everything, or Bring me the Horizon- Post Human Survival Horror.
@@ryanbollinger1759 I would consider Asking Alexandria to be one of them, especially after that last album, and also many other ones I’ve heard on SiriusXM but forgotten their names because the music doesn’t stick with me, don’t get me wrong, I love bands like being me the horizon, spiritbox, and white chapel, we definitely need more of that. But metalcore as a genre has just been flooded lately it seems
Ryan Bollinger BMTH haven't been metalcore in almost a decade though, nothing on survival horror was metalcore besides dear diary and even that wasn't fully it either
Awful album. The band as a whole took a step back
not the band, you took a step back. You need to grow with your music. Cheers.
This album made me want to vomit. I liked the themes behind the lyrics but in my opinion, this album was worse than The Here and Now.
Dude I agree with you so hard. I really don't understand the love this album get. Like am I listening to the same album as everyone else? Half of it sounds like imagine dragons for fucks sake.
@@jacksonislegend I think it's because some people will listen to a band regardless of how they change. I've had people tell me with other bands that if you like a band, you support them no matter what they sound like. Uh, no, mate. I mean, there are a few decent tracks on the album but why some are saying this album is amazing beats me. I have respect for what the band but this album is definitely one of their weakest albums to date in my opinion. But hey, at least Polaris is still metalcore. Haha.
@@WhereOceansMeeet Exactly. I love architects but this album is So. Damn. Boring. That's what the problem is. I'd say half of the album is just unlistenable and the other half are mediocre B-Sides from holy hell. It's just bad.
@@jacksonislegend Pretty much. I actually like Black Lungs and Libertine but aside from those, I just feel that Architects followed BFMV, and BMTH down the path to radio rock. I'll still check them out live as long as they play older material but if they retire that, I'll be jumping ship and finding some new tunes.
This album is a 2.5/10 for me. Borderline unlistenable. Ugh. So disappointing. LF//LT is a masterpiece. This is just... Whiny, wannabe radio rock.
