I have a lots of proudly thinkings towards my skill, and I was saw the other peoples as a lower stage of skill, but when I was joint with jk yog as a volunteer, then they provide me different kinds of seva for maharaj ji, but I can't complete any one of these seva without the help of jk yog team. In jk yog team a number of volunteers who have perfect knowledge of many kinds of skills, on the basis of which they can do maharaj ji's seva perfectly. And also they help to me to completing my seva (with purely humbleness amd kind fully.... From that time I feel that I don't have any skill without the skill of ego in my life. It is so deeply ingrained - since childhood we are habituated to receiving trophies and awards and compliments for accomplishing something and feel good and proud and in turn also get encouraged to try harder. No, I don't have any pride in me. After a deep slumber, I am finally Awake. When I was young, I had good looks - and every hour I would go to the mirror and appreciate my looks. But now, my good looks have gone. And the pain of loosing my good looks made me humble. And the pain that I went for about ten years, made me introspective - and finally I realized that I am nothing else but pure consciousness - so why was I proud of my Body, why was I proud of things, that I thought that were mine? There is nothing in this world that is yours. There is nothing to be proud of. And only when you are humble, can you tread the path to spirituality. Sometimes I am able to counter the thoughts of pride by reminding myself my value is space and time. Earth is tiny part of this universe and I hold a tiny place on this earth. This universe is so old that my lifespan is just a bubble. This approach is material but nevertheless has helped me in the past. Of course what SwamiJi is describing here is the higher truth. We are rays of the Sun.
So true - most of the pain we suffer is because of the need to upkeep our pride. We want to feel good about ourselves and want to be somewhere on the higher end of social status bar in terms of money, power, intelligence, skills, family, etc. - some combination of all these. About 10 years ago, I had a real struggle to die to self. What I am referring to is getting rid of the things in my mind that block my progression to God. By 2014 I began to visit all of the many religions here in Raleigh, NC. I first met Swamiji at the temple in Morrisville, NC, and persevered up until Sept. Then I was busy with work; so now I am connecting again. For me, dying to self helps me to lose the inhibitions. I love everyone: the good, bad or the ugly. My soul gravitates toward helping people who are desperately struggling to survive. There's so many people all over the world who need even water and food. I perceive that we are all brothers and sisters. There's much to explore.
That I meditate and I am a nice person is my ego. As I came to know that anything in the image of me as 'I' is ego. So we should overcome it to progress in the spiritual development. 🙏😊❤️

Swamiji very nicely explained how pride causes own destruction. He gave various situations as an example which causes pride. The young age, it feels us make pride as we grow, it reduces. Liked the example of elephant and the mouse, where the mouse asked if elephant wearing its short pants. Also, it was an eye opener for me how selfish team does not help, good to know the kids who were self esteem were not able to cope with the real time situations. Like Hanuman Ji, we need to feel be humble as a servant of the supreme Lord Sri Krishna, as every work we need to do for his pleasure. We did not bring anything and we cannot take anything with us. All that we possess is coming from Lord either the talent possessions etc. as we are thinking that is ours and I have these kind of skills causing pride and which is the cause of quarrel as well. And Srila Prabhupada said conditioned soul means when the soul begins to think it’s the body not the soul then pride begins. If we remember we’re the soul there will be no pride or even insecurities regarding blemishes. We have to loose our sense of being the body. I am great and a wonderful person would be example of egoistic thought. However, God has bestowed his divine grace upon me and enabled me to be able to have these qualities. These are by God’s blessings as he is the doer and proprietor and I am not! This would be an example of a humble thought.
The battle with keeping a check on the pride is so difficult; especially when being in the work area with people who are filled with positive self esteem and just react with that gadget to all situations, they feel they are the most perfect and right and everything is everyone else's fault or shortcoming. If we act too humble and forgiving, that becomes a risk to survival. Then our own nature also takes over in the heat of multitude of forces acting on us and not much time at hand to think before we react.

Absolutely true, Pride comes as we forget god. When listening to Guruji we can realise that it is the truth. It's as if *Lord Shri Krishna* has sent his message in the form of a humble and wise *Guruji* . Many of the people due to ego(pride) think they are god and they think there is no one and nothing after their pride(like-: wealth, class, caste etc)

No, I don't have any pride in me. After a deep slumber, I am finally Awake. When I was young, I had good looks - and every hour I would go to the mirror and appreciate my looks.
But now, my good looks have gone. And the pain of loosing my good looks made me humble. And the pain that I went for about ten years, made me introspective - and finally I realized that I am nothing else but pure consciousness - so why was I proud of my Body, why was I proud of things, that I thought that were mine? There is nothing in this world that is yours. There is nothing to be proud of. And only when you are humble, can you tread the path to spirituality. God hates ego and love humbleness, all the material souls will have this ego but our intellect doesn't recognize. Only Guru ans Saints know this so we need to become humble to receive the grace of God and Guru. Always thing that if we do any thing good, because of gods grace we did that. Swamiji gives us the knowledge that - God hates one thing - that is the Ego.. God loves - Humbleness.. Humbleness attracts grace of God. Sometimes I am able to counter the thoughts of pride by reminding myself my value is space and time. Earth is tiny part of this universe and I hold a tiny place on this earth. This universe is so old that my lifespan is just a bubble. This approach is material but nevertheless has helped me in the past. Of course what SwamiJi is describing here is the higher truth. We are rays of the Sun.
So true - most of the pain we suffer is because of the need to upkeep our pride. We want to feel good about ourselves and want to be somewhere on the higher end of social status bar in terms of money, power, intelligence, skills, family, etc. - some combination of all these. Our Pride gets steam from assuring that majority of our acquaintances think of us as successful and better than average. This is a tough one to overcome indeed. Not even sure where to begin. It is impossible to control our ego because ego is part of our identity. So we need to channalise it's flow towards Benifits and help for humanity rather than allowing to move natural direction animal instinct.
About 10 years ago, I had a real struggle to die to self. What I am referring to is getting rid of the things in my mind that block my progression to God. By 2014 I began to visit all of the many religions here in Raleigh, NC. I first met Swamiji at the temple
in Morrisville, NC, and persevered up until Sept. Then I was busy with work; so now I am connecting again. For me, dying to self
helps me to lose the inhibitions. I love everyone: the good, bad or the ugly. My soul gravitates toward helping people who are desperately struggling to survive. There's so many people all over the world who need even water and food. I perceive that we are all brothers and sisters. There's much to explore.
That I meditate and I am a nice person is my ego. As I came to know that anything in the image of me as 'I' is ego. So we should overcome it to progress in the spiritual development. 🙏😊❤️

I'm so blessed to hear this powerful video on pride. I always have pride of doership which I'm aware of it but though externally I tried to remain calm. Swamiji very nicely explained how pride causes own destruction. He gave various situations as an example which causes pride. The young age, it feels us make pride as we grow, it reduces. Liked the example of elephant and the mouse, where the mouse asked if elephant wearing its short pants. Also, it was an eye opener for me how selfish team does not help, good to know the kids who were self esteem were not able to cope with the real time situations. Like Hanuman Ji, we need to feel be humble as a servant of the supreme Lord Sri Krishna, as every work we need to do for his pleasure. We did not bring anything and we cannot take anything with us. All that we possess is coming from Lord either the talent possessions etc. as we are thinking that is ours and I have these kind of skills causing pride and which is the cause of quarrel as well. The example of Akbar and Birbal story which is again, revealing because of the intoxication of pride we will not be able to function properly. I do have another opening from this lecture that the inferiority complex comes from the desire to become superior thank you Swamiji, for revealing gem of knowledge for our welfare, which reveals the importance of humbleness

Self esteem is not a lie but one way of loving ourselves without losing our humanity, if we lose our humanity while loving ourselves then it is pride. Thank you.
But the ultimate reality is we’re souls within the body Shri Krishna said just like clothes we change this body every lifetime. And Srila Prabhupada said conditioned soul means when the soul begins to think it’s the body not the soul then pride begins. If we remember we’re the soul there will be no pride or even insecurities regarding blemishes. We have to loose our sense of being the body. We’re the soul not the body if you believe in Shri Krishna then there is nothing else to question here. If I said anything wrong do let me know please destroy my pride of knowledge.

The pride index is inversely proportional to the faith index. As the faith in God deepens, Pride automatically diminishes. The battle with keeping a check on the pride is so difficult; especially when being in the work area with people who are filled with positive self esteem and just react with that gadget to all situations, they feel they are the most perfect and right and everything is everyone else's fault or shortcoming. If we act too humble and forgiving, that becomes a risk to survival. Then our own nature also takes over in the heat of multitude of forces acting on us and not much time at hand to think before we react.
