- Hello guys, In this tutorial, I'm going to show you how to make a DIY Arduino led cube at home, so let's get started :)

Hi. I have 3 questions
1- the led that u used is 3mm or 5mm?
2- i must use 10 k or 1 k resistor? Because in diagram is 1k!
3- the distance between leds?
1. 3mm
2. 10k

Powered by the 5v supplied via the USB cable

UNO is more powerful than Nano with same output pins. Yes same codes will work on both.

Hello, I have a question, I already made all of the squares with the leds, but all my negative legs are on the right side, and now i just saw that you have half of them on right and other half on left. Will that change my final product?
yep, on the left side the led's cathodes have to be on the right (2 rows of led's) on 2nd side (right) the cathodes have to be towards the left

Correct me if I'm wrong, but these wires are not insulated, therefore when live they will shock if touched. Why not use insulated wires? Simply remove the insulation where necessary.

what if we leave the Transistors ? what is the advantage of using the transistors any body ! Thank you
The transistors are there so the microcontroller doesn't need to power the LEDs directly! Which might frie it up, so you connect the LEDs to a power source and with the signal from the microcontroller open and close the "switch"(transistor).

I don't get how it's able to address single LEDs in that circuit
The anodes of the LEDs are connected in columns and all of the cathodes in a layer are connected. By applying + voltage to a column and selecting which layer the current can flow out of will address an individual LED.

If you need a circuit diagram can't you just pause and look and take like idk 3 maybe 6 seconds to figure it out? Seriously, I don't even do anything with circuits, boards, soldering hardware or anything that has to do with putting together things, except some easy fixes with a hot glue gun and one upgrade, and a few controller mods that usually were exterior only, I havn't messed with electronics at all, at least from the out side, and I can totally understand how the electric flow works and I don't even know any terms. Lazy, just pause and think, seriously.
