I saw you pin your fabric to your leader. Here is a hint I use so I don't stab myself when smoothing out the fabric. Center to the right, pin to the right. Center to the left, pin to the left. When smoothing the fabric out and you are in the center, stretching over the frame to smooth the pins are facing the same way your hands will be moving. No DNA on the fabric! Your hints are great! I love how you share with others and how easy you make it!
I like the way you use your frame table to pin. I used to pin from the middle to the left, and then from the middle to the right, but my "tension" was always off. If I pinned from one side to the other it was okay. I now user zippers and baste them on my dsm, but still from the middle out. Thanks for sharing, Janet.
All the large quilts I've done have only been E2E panto....but I pinned them with pride! (I quilt a lot of Quilts for Kids quilts and the backs aren't ever very big so easier to pin them since Leader Grips (I actually have a set) take up a bit of backing.) I would think having a line would work with Red Snappers?? Curious what you think.
What are the pink grippers caked that you had used at the bottom rail? I float all of my quilts and it can get a little loose at that end of quilting? Thank You for your tutorial!!
They are Quilt Clips from the Grace Co. The pink ones are a little larger than the blue ones - so I use both depending on how much of the backing is on the front top rail. Toward the end of a quilt, I will switch to the blue ones. www.graceframe.com/en/accessories/quilt-clips

Great tip! Thanks for sharing! (I have avoided giving any DNA samples by feeling where the pin lumps are and making sure to smooth where it's smooth!)

That was very helpful! Thank you!
This seems like a great idea, but do you do this with quilts that are large (96"+) that is a lot of pinning.

The red snappers also work with a line
