Anthony it is also important to have diversity in the government and positions/places of power to reflect the diversity of today's society & country. This is important in order to address certain issues within communities which are underrepresented & aren't focused on, which only people within that community can 100% relate to. For example, if there was no native Americans in the government- issues that native Americans face that need to be discussed may be overlooked as no one in power is directly affected by it. Now am all for diversity. But why do we need a woman of color? Why can't it just be a minority? We had a black president and yes we Latinos have Latinos in the government but we haven't had a Latin President or Vice President. So why can't it just be a minority? This pushing people is not right at all. I understand it's time for change but black and white are NOT the only races here. Others seem to forget that its all of us.

Trump was not elected on qualifications. He won on being a business man. There are plenty of qualified blk women who can do the job. I think it’s absolutely appropriate to seek out a qualified blk person. Why not? White men ran things for years and women had to fight for years to be able to vote. Men said the same thing about us. They said we didn’t have the right credentials to do vote. Now we know having people from all walks of life promote the very idea of America. The government should be a sample of everyone. Everyone should be represented. Why is the conversation always about the blk or women candidate being qualified?
