hallo, i have been waching you from last year, thank you for all the great videos ! and finnaly i just show you at aponisos (Agistri island). i was with the light blue catfisher 28 catamaran. nice to see you!
@@CatGreatcircle did you take the boat out of the water in planaco ? i took mine out of the water next door. if you are in Aigina maybe we can meet for a coffee or beer?...
Another beautifully shot video, my wife made the exact same comment about the Greek Islands and Athens when she was first there some 30 years or so ago. Be good - stay safe and keep having fun.
I think in last years episode at Planaco you can see a bit more of sweaty Lucas but it’s pretty straight forward filter and oil change. As Lucas tells me the only real irritating part is the changing of the impellers as there is no room behind (“forward”) of the engines.
We don’t do it ourselves yet because - I’ve got 2 left hands, - you never know what you’re going to encounter - it feels comfortable when an expert has made an overall check - and by letting a certified Yanmar dealer have a go at it we’re still in the 3 year extended warranty program
hi, I'm planning to buy a similar cat as yours and cruise around the Med. We plan to live on board and come back home every 2 months for a couple of weeks. according to your experience, do you think it's easy to find berth and leave the cat for 2 weeks? do you mostly stay on mooring or inside marina?
Hi Pierre-Stéphane, sounds good! It makes sense to investigate the options for a berth or mooring upfront as in some areas the options are limited. We found a good and cheap harbour in Licata Sicily but it’s not really close to the normal cruising areas. We ended up buying a mooring in Greece as well, where we can leave it for some time outside the winter period. Where are you planning to go most of the time or will this be fully open?
@@CatGreatcircle we planned to cruise from Turkey to Portugal during at least 3 years. We will have to find safe berth during our trip back and it will not be easy. This the only disadvantage of the cat compare with monohull. Do you have a generator and water maker?
Yes we do. I don’t see a big disadvantage to a monohull in this respect, it’s just not safe to leave any boat on a town quay, and the marinas tend to be really expensive. Most of the time there is enough space if you plan a bit ahead
@@CatGreatcircle Do you mean that you prefer to leave your boat on a mooring than a port quay? your launching dinghy plateform looks very nice; but is it easy to lift the dinghy when the sea is not flat?
Wow! You are the best, hands down...
Cat Greatcircle is such a beautiful yacht, great vid ya'll.

In nov17 we did. Last winter we were in the water in Licata, Sicily. Yes let’s have a beer whenever you’re close again!
Another relaxing video, as usual. Thank you for sharing your dream life with us.

Είστε φανταστικοί συνεχίστε να μας δίνετε τέτοιες εικόνες...
παρακαλώ
Thx for sharing a little peace.
Superb as usual. Any chance of seeing the servicing being carried out. As always, thanks from Australia.

Unless you like being in a marina you will be on anchor 98% of the time. Easy, quick, often a fresh breeze on the nose, perfect!
