I had a slip and fall at work ten years ago and was sent to a doctor through Workmans Compensation. I have this problem where I can tolerate retin A on my face, but anything below the collarbone, I get a nasty rash. Even with very low doses. I'm not talking the typical redness or irritation, I mean like nasty bumpy contact dermatitis. I seem to do OK with regular retinol though.
@amouzout asked about the feet that I wanted to expand on. My husband has very bad diabetic dry cracked feet and most times it is very painful. He goes regularly to a podatrist and uses a Euria cream that the doctor sells but it is still not enough. I've applied to his feet those feet masks which seem to help at first and seem moisturized and soft when they are removed and feel so much better (giving us hope), but then they just get very dry and cracked again. He actually uses cushioned lined socks to walk around the house to protect his feet from any splinters or anything else that could cause infection. Please let us all know what could be done for the feet. I would love for my hubby to feel good walking again. By the way, you are so inspiring and your presentation was terrific.
Check out the RUclips's Dr Dray, she is another board certified dermatologist we can all trust. Search her videos using keywords such as diabetes, cracked heels/feet, urea, "slugging" etc. Apply Kerasal (contains urea) foot ointment to clean, damp skin so it absorbs better. Then "slug" the feet with a thick layer of Vaseline, and then put on socks. At night time, Seran wrapping the feet before the socks is even better! Also, when feet inc. heels have deep fissures (before you apply the Kerasal) you can hold the cracks together with your fingers and use Crazy Glue to seal & heal the raw & sore cracks. Surgeons use Crazy Glue (inc. eye surgeons), so it's safe to use on cuts & cracks of the skin. I hope this helps you and your husband. This is information I have learned from being a dedicated Dr Dray subscriber for many years. 👱🏻♀️♥️
