You're the most attractive and knowledgeable physician in your aesthetic medicine field, which confirms all the more how knowledgeable you are about aesthetic medicine. Wish I lived in California, so I could consult with you as to what I would benefit from the most. I'm not very confident with the physicians where I live on the East Coast. 🤷
Thank you so much for subtitling your videos. I’m French and even though I understand most of what you say, for some words I don’t know this is very helpful !! Merci beaucoup 🤍
Thank you for your advice, I’ve scheduled an appointment with an MD in my area that preforms Thermage FLX based off your advice. It’s so good to hear from an expert who isn’t trying to push a product or procedure.
Solid advice. Thank you for your thorough explanation and your recommendations----both surgical and lifestyle. You are a lovely and intelligent woman. :)
Is not the horizontal wrinkles that make you look older those are just caused by the folds on the neck, is the vertical ones that pop out like a turkey neck, children don’t have those
Great video Dr. Kappel- Regarding biostimulators: will we be getting liquid PCL in the US in the foreseeable future? You mentioned some new injectables coming to the US. Thanks for all your amazing content.
You can afford it but you need to save. I don’t make a lot of money but I save my money. What I do is I buy gift cards for things I want. If you get $100, buy a gift card from that store you want to buy your product from. Also, you can pay over time with Affirm or Care Credit. I have used all of these for treatments and services. It’s all how you approach it and how you save.
She has a few videos towards the beginning of her channel's uploads (5 years back) where she shares her recommendations for drugstore skincare products. I found it helpful, especially her notes in the description of those videos.
Thanks Dr Kappel. I do not have neck wrinkles or crepey neck because I have never been overweight, always worn turtlenecks most days of the week and mostly lived in Northern Europe. My take-away, stay out of the sun if you can...
Turkey neck is not due to being overweight, if anything if you’re overweight you’ll have less of a turkey neck. My dad has always been thin and has a turkey neck, he is 88. I’ve inherited the same thing. Why I’m listening to this video.
I have been on long-term Prednisone. After decreasing my dose, which caused me to lose weight as well as the edema in the face and neck area. It was like aging 30 yrs overnight. Truly horrible what it did to my face and neck. Hallowing under the eyes. Facial laxity of the nasolabial folds and sudden neck laxity. And due to my medical history, not a surgical candidate. Its very depressing, especially in SoCal. Good to hear that there maybe something short of a vertcal lift that could help me.
I get the $6/tube tretinoin from India (drug/pharmaceutical company) online shipped to US. It is prescription only in the US and super expensive but the ones from India just work as good. I apply the tretinoin mixed with lotion once a week from neck down to my feet (a tube can last 2 to 3 times use). And I use a red light therapy daily. I have a neck piece from Omnilux, and a half body panel from Mito red light. So far, my tech neck is under control. It took 8 months consistent use to start seeing visible results. I'd going to be 40 next year, no wrinkles on my face yet except neck wrinkles from side way sleeping position. I'm continue to do my budget friendly version until when I have money and I can accept the potential risks to have injectable and botox on risky area like neck.
Dr. Kappel, great lesson, thank you! I hope you can advise me. I am 67 yrs old. Unfortunately , a local plastic surgeon injected undiluted Radiesse into my anatomical Tech neck lines. Four weeks later I still have visible, raised lines of Radiesse under my skin. I understand the solution should have been hyper-diluted and there is no way to dissolve this material. Does injecting saline solution break up/dissolve the Radiesse? I am scheduled to have the first of several dual Fraxel lasers on my upper face and eyes, and an Ellacore procedure on my lower face and neck in 2 weeks by a different Dermatologist. My hope is to tighten the skin and perhaps remove or break up some of the Radiesse. What are your thoughts? Thank you so very much for your knowledge and consideration.
ive had crepey skin on my neck since i was 27 or even 26 :( why would that be? i only noticed it at 28/29 and now at 30 after almost 2 years of consistent skin care, spf and treatments its NO better.... :(
Can you discuss the difference between Thermage and putting a microwave up to your face lol? You always hear as a kid "don't stand in front of the microwave" and if Thermage is RF then how is it considered safe? Has anyone done long term studies to see if the cancer risk is higher in patients who have used Thermage? Thanks! Not much info online and I figured you're the best person to ask for many many reasons!
Is the “Nefertiti” loft your name for that procedure or is it used universally for that procedure? Just wanting to know when I go to a doctor to have it done so they don’t look at me like I’m crazy.
It’s the name they use but some doctors have never heard of it. I went to one lady who looked at me like I was crazy. Another told me Fraxel and Thermage does do anything to help older skin. The lies out there are crazy.
A great free anti aging routine is trying to live and project positive thoughts and actions. Really can make you feel and look great regardless of age.
Hi Doctor. Most of my working days were involved being in the sun. Occasionally I will use sunscreen. Now that I have retired my neck is in a mess just like a Turkey neck I live in the tropics, not sure who I can go to. Can you recommend anything topical to use? Thanks for the information you have provided
Did you know that people can turn on "Closed Captioning" without them being forced onto viewers? I was born with a head-injury (my Mother was in an accident right before I was born) ...I can almost pull-off "normal" but my short-term memory is awful, I can't watch 3D movies or movies with subtitles. I would LOVE this channel except for the fact that I can't watch your content because the "overlaying words" register with electrical shock sensations to my "not quite right brain" 🥹 ...and listening without the reference images isn't very educational.

Thanks for taking us along your life errands. I enjoy hearing the personal stuff too, as well as the content.
My favorite cosmetic dermatologist 😍
Thank you so much for the great information! I was wondering if red light therapy is a good thing to use for your neck?

I really like the way you present information.
Thank you so much Dr Kappel! ❤❤❤
I tutor a little girl and she has neck wrinkles and she is six. I had them at a young age as well. So crazy!
Yes it's common so likely genetic.

I'm using the Korean sculpting sleep band on my face and neck they do work.
I don't have money to do all of the lasers, so best skin care on a budget is what I can do????
There are budget dermatologists on RUclips.
Exactly. Most of us can not AFFORD these. It's useless information for the masses unless you live in Newport Beach or Beverly Hills.

I never took care of my neck…I was obsessed with keeping my face pimple free 😢
Im an adult still dealing with acne breakouts. Can you do a video about foods that can trigger acne? Is there evidence that dairy can cause acne?
I got three treatments of Kybella on my double chin and got zero results. Is that normal? What else should I try?

Tretiheal
When I checked recently, the shipping cost from India was twice as much as the product.

oh my why would your dr do that? what did he say as a reason for doing it that way? what does he think of the results ?
I had a radiesse overfill before and it went away in about a year. Time is your best bet.
@@teresalehtonen8499 they seem to be surprised at the outcome and are suggesting removing some of the material. Not sure how to do that yet…..
how are you treating your patient with thinning skin and volume loss from RF microneedling? thats what im suffering with too
Do you have the ultra clear laser (I think it’s a laser)? It looks really promising for so many results, would love to hear you talk about it.

So frustrating that all options are for the wealthy.
Lots of whinging in the comments 😅. Not all of us are broke.
Since you have a skincare line, I would suggest adding genital lightening creams 😮we want to keep the nether region bright, smooth and supple too.😂
Are you on Only Fans?
So, wear sun screen, buy overpriced products, then undergo insanely expensive cosmetic treatments. Who knew?? Thanks! Super useful!

What were you expecting? A free incantation that magically made you five years younger ? 😂
So nothing new really
I’m so turned off by all the whiny “this is too expensive” comments. Just click off and go elsewhere
