- Tube workers have gone on strike as part of the biggest rail strike in 30 years, causing major disruption to Londoners.
About 10,000 London Underground staff joined in the strike, claiming proposals by bosses will cut jobs, change working agreements and pensions.
Transport for London advised people to avoid travelling throughout the day, with all Tube lines affected.
The national rail strikes also hit the number of London Overground and Elizabeth line services running.

Well, I think the fact that their striking is affecting many other people and their lives; jobs or business, that's important to also remember. Not just about the needs of the small minority.
Focus on the inconveniences of the strike, but nothing about the demands of the workers actually on strike

Honestly, why do the railway workers think they are the only ones who deserve extra pay?
I'm sure they don't think that. It's just that they're capable of standing up for themselves
The only reason you get paid fairly, work 8 hours and have weekends off is because of unions. Oh, and railway workers do not benefit from any of those things because they work shift work which includes 12 hour shifts. Union members are not paid while striking so it’s not in anyones interest for this to continue.
The whole point of a Union striking together is that everyone gets a fair deal, remember, some workers employed by the same transport companies are not union members. They will go to work and get paid during the strikes, if the strikes are a success and a deal is made these people will benefit from those that were on strike.

Yeah, nobody should get a pay rise. Except of course, the Queen/hangers on, MPs, CEOs, Bankers, the usual crowd who never seem to have any trouble at all, getting huge inflation busting pay increases.
@@AC-wz9tx Unite has upped its pay to those who are striking, so you are very much wrong on that. They are shown to be passed their sell by date, hence union membership is generally falling.
I had to get to Heathrow on Tuesday from Whitechapel. Thankfully took a small walk from hotel to bus stop (busses were not full as I was going east away from traffic other busses were so full you could not get on) got off at Whitechapel Station, Elizabeth line was running was running to Paddington from Whitechapel and then to Heathrow. Saved me about 40£.. As opposed to getting a taxi.

Yes, the govt is working hard to prevent workforces from withdrawing their Labour, the only recourse of a wronged workforce. Because workers should just be grateful for a pittance and not expect a supported future, even though they're taxed for it? I don't think so.
But we're not quite there yet, and these people are fighting that. Good luck to them.

I needed to know why don’t they dig a tunnel and do an extension for the main line Train so that they can extend the unused abandoned underground stations.
Why couldn’t they use the part D78 Stock train doors on the sides and also restructure the front face of the A60 and A62 stock and that includes the class 313, class 314 and class 315 remix and make them all together and also redesign them an overhead line and also make them into six car per units and also having three Disabled Toilets on those six car per units A60 and A62 stock trains and also convert the A60 and A62 stock trains into a Scania N112, Volvo TD102KF, Volvo D10M, Volvo B10M, Gardner 6LXB, Gardner 6LXC and Gardner 8LXB Diesel Engines and also put the Loud 7-Speed Voith Gearboxes even Loud 8-Speed Leyland Hydra cyclic Gearboxes in the A60 and A62 stock, class 313, class 314, and class 315 and also modernise the A60 and A62 stock and make it into an 11 car per unit so it could have fewer doors, more tables, computers and mobile phone chargers.
A Stock Trains and also having 8 Disabled Toilets on those A stock trains. why couldn’t we refurbish and modernise the waterloo and city line Triple-Track train tunnel and make it more bigger and extend it to bank station, making it into a Triple-Track Railway Line so those 4 European countries such as Germany, Italy, Poland And Sweden to convert the waterloo and city line Triple-Track Train tunnel into a High-Speed train?
The Third Euro tunnel Triple-Track Train line to make it 11 times better for passengers so they could go from A to B. then put the modernised 11 car per unit A Stock and put them on a bigger modernised waterloo and city line Triple-Track train tunnel so it could go to bank station to those 4 European countries such as Germany, Italy, Poland And Sweden. The modernised refurbished 11 cars per unit A stock could be a High Speed The Third Triple-Track Euro Tunnel Train So it is promising and 37 times a lot more possible to do this kind of project that is OK for London Germany, Italy, Poland And Sweden.
oh by the way, could they also tunnel the Triple-Track Railway Line so it will stop from Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Essex so that the Passengers will go to Germany, Italy, Poland and Sweden and also extend the Triple-Track Railway Line from Bank to Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Essex Stations so that more people from there could go to Germany, Italy, Poland And Sweden Easily.
Why couldn't they extend the Piccadilly line and also build brand-new underground train stations so it could go even further right up to Clapton, Wood Street and also make another brand new tunnel train station in Chingford and could they extend the DLR?

Could you also convert all of the 1973 stock trains into an air-conditioned maximum speed 78 km/hours (48 MPH) re-refurbished and make it into a 8 cars per unit if that will be alright, and also extend all of the Piccadilly train stations to make more space for all of the extended 8 car per unit 1973 stock air condition trains and can you also build another Mayflower and Tornado Steam Locomotive Companies and they can order Every 17 Octagon and Hexagon shape LNER diagram unique small no.13 and unique small no.10 Boilers from those Countries such as Greece, Italy, Poland, and Sweden, can they make Mayflower and Tornado Steam Locomotive speeds by up to 117MPH so you can try and test it on the Original Mainline so it will be much more safer for the Passengers to enjoy the 117MPH speed Limit only for HS2 and Channel Tunnel mainline services, if they needed 16 Carriages Per units can they use those class 55’s, class 44’s, class 40’s and class 43HST Diesel Locomotive’s right at the Back of those 18 Carriages Per Units so they can take over at the Back to let those Mayflower and Tornado Steam Locomotive’s have a rest for those interesting Journeys Please!!, oh can you make all of those Coal Boxes’s 16 Tonnes for all of the 117MPH Mayflower and Tornado Steam Locomotive’s so the Companies will Understand us PASSENGER’S!! so please make sure that the Builders can do as they are Told!! I knew someone who drove a train up and down the Central Line more than 20 years ago. With overtime, he could earn £50K,. He drove a top line car and belonged to an exclusive gym. So if you are feeling sorry for these left-wing money grabbers - don't.
Its a different union the train drivers. RMT represent the other staff. The ticket inspectors, railway repair staff, the cleaning staff. But not only that, good on the train drivers and their union for securing good pay and conditions for a skilled work force. If other workers had better unions maybe we'd have more workers earning fair wages, instead of there being record profits in most companies year on year and a growing wealth gap between rich and poor.

@@VSW2706 As far as I know a tube driver in London got an annual salary circu forty-two thousand pounds some years ago who earns more than a metropolitan police officer plus a good pension scheme. And I personally saw a tube driver drove a BMW to work. So are they well paid enough??
And why are you bringing train drivers to this topic of rail strike? Does not make sense. Drivers are not striking. Its the low paid railworkers so it seems to me you have no idea who is even striking. So first what you need to do before writing comments and making a fool out of yourself is to find out who are striking. Let me help you RMT members are striking not ASLEF. Drivers are members of ASLEF. Know your fact and stop jumping on to the media band wagon. Do your own research first.

What people care about we paid expensive fares and the train service we got are extremely poor the entire rail network in Britain really sucks!! And I personally believe those low paid workers don’t have bargaining power to strike!! The only thing to make those strike happens are those greedy trains drivers, only they themselves walking out their positions can put trains and the entire rail network to standstill!!

I am a builder, I earn more that a majority of the railworker and I use the train but I support everyone who needs a pay rise like the low paid railworker. This strike does include train drivers and you use them for your argument which is really stupid. What does a BMW got to do with a train driver anyway? How old are you? 10? If you don't like the train service in the UK don't use it mate. Stop complaining. I was in politics for some bad reasons.
I was canvassing a leader (here a chief minister)
I told and wrote to media new papers here to elect him a chief minister again because he was defeated the previous time .
I told the people to elect him due to his age 95 and it would be great to honour to us Tamil Nadu India 🇮🇳 if we have a very aged person as chief minister of our state .
But despite my canvases ( because I canvassed) he was defeated and an opposition party ( same ruling party )came to power again
But you knew a great devil 👿 rain in Chennai.

Two or
Three years ago a girl and her husband was newly coming to our church but they were baptised many years ago but backslides after .
A idiot from our church or my house was over enthusiastic to do ministry to them .
I want to involve myself here because that idiot was ungodly.
So to avoid any unwanted or unholy things from happening I involved myself visiting them .
Because Head of that church is also a lazy goose and he not careful enough helping sheep 🐑 .
So I wanted to take this new family to a new church.
Her mother was opposing to my this plan because I wanted to take them to that church service nearby ( walkable distance)that day with their new born baby 👶 ( three months)
But I had a guilty conscience as if I am taking them to God church forcibly.
But I called out that girl 👧 asked her to see the sky 🌌 if there was any signs of rain ☔️.
There were no indications for rain .
The sky was without clouds and clear .
I told her if God didn’t like me taking them to church then it would rain very heavily.
In the evening she didn’t come to the church but her husband visited.
There was a heavy rain that day .
A miracle.
3) Rain ☔️ 3
A month ago a recent convert family his wife was admitted in the hospital 🏥 for a surgery.( That church pastor married a German lady )
I visited them.
I have less love for them but I told them that I was not in a position to help them financially but I couldn’t but I told them God of heaven would supply them according to the verse 2 kings 3;-17 but I felt sorry for visiting them empty bare handed.

An hour after there was a big rain here .
Really really all there rains are note worthy.
