Spent years in France's equivalent of Alcatraz where he pieced together the mystery of why he was framed and learned of a mysterious treasure from a fellow prisoner who shared his circumstances. Escaped and was rescued by smugglers who he ingratiated himself with before finding said treasure. Decided to use that treasure to take brutal and cruel revenge on those who ruined his life, by playing their game and beating them at it. Yes, that's as short as the synopsis can get.
