Coach Holler, you said the speed should be a priority. It actually starts short to long. It took me a while to even consider that idea. Because starting speedwork only when the season starts is not enough. Doing this usually leads to injury, for example if suddenly go from long distance running with your sprinters and try to suddenly introduce speed, with no short to long buildup...injury is the result and vice versa. Thanks,im the wiser for this info.👍

It really does seem like common sense. Why did we ever do it the other way???

I do grappling..amateur…but I tell you concentric only training…isometrics…made me better without any new technique and would be able to beat people way more advance than me. Minute I started doing eccentrics and getting sore I was weak and slow and unmotivated to grapple or even run up a flight of stairs

Great content. I've been incorporating more overcoming isometrics in conjunction with feed the cats top speed sprinting and its a great combination. I am curious as to how Alex calculates his elite sprinters single leg squat/weight ratio as he mentions that his best guys hit the 5-6 times body weight. Is their any way I could contact him and ask how he calculates that? Thanks

from my experience we performed iso overcoming on industrial scale which in real time showed us with how much force we pushed

Everybody is different...light to minimum weight lifting is good for sprinters...but that's just me talking
