Thank you for this talk. God’s laws out of love for us helps us feel protected and safe because of the parameters He has asked us to adhere to. Saying no to premarital sex, to in vitro fertilization because of our love for God and understanding of God’s love for us is providing a sense security.

The priest(s) led the Isrealites ahead of their battles with the Ark of the Covenant. As Fr. S. stated they saw this as a spiritual battle as much as a physical battle.
This made me think immediately of Eucharistic processions with our priests with the monstrance (the Host) going ahead in our world being a show of spiritual force in our modern world for the spiritual battle in our times.
