Speaking of pain killer - I thought about what my products are, and I think there are products that are pain killers but only for others… like, we build drum sticks that reduce drum volume by more than 80%. Whose pain are we relieving, the drummers’, or the bands/audience? Drummers often make fun of our silent sticks, while everybody else thinks we are genious and every drummer should use our sticks. But luckily some drummers need to play less loud and welcome this product, yet it is an issue that others have more than drummers. Hm. Anybody here thinks silent sticks are a great idea? Any drummer thinks so?!
It’s about marketing. You target the drummer - focus on how annoying it is to get complaints about drumming practice - how you want to give your loved ones the peace of mind they’ve always begged you, but your love of drumming keeps away from - how you can practice anyway and not be the asshole you’ve been pretending you don’t care about being Or you target people who know drummers - joke gifts, for the drummer in your life you love, but need to hear less of, talk about get peace of mind. It’s either the pain of guilt and embarrassment, or the pain of knowing a drummer. You’re also marketing these to an individualist society. You should market them to more anxious societies. Gen Z drummers, much less likely to call em stupid. Nordics? Same thing. Japan, Taiwan, China, same thing. And then with crazy r&d if you want burn money, 3D super high speed IR tracked drum sticks that are silent but a machine will recreate the sound, volume, with very low latency.
Have always had a deep appreciation for Guy. Thanks Guy for your philosophy. It is definitely a part of our DNA. ❤
