What does the Daytime running lights have to do with taillights. I think you are referring to the license plate lights. 🤔 I wouldn’t want my taillights to be on with my DRLs.

Need the "daytime lights" so something is visible when you aren't pressing brakes. I'm assuming it's more for when it's getting dim/darker outside for legal purposes
You may be receiving the harness with white or red wires. In and case, to make the DRL work, you have to connect that wire to ant positive. In our case we connected it to the license plate.
Just installed mine for 2018 Camry xse V6 and everything was plug and play I didn’t not need to tap in to license plate wires and animation and Drl were still working. Just an FYI. The extra white cable is not needed for xse.

Unfortunately, California laws do not allow tinted tail lights, but we have had many customers purchase tinted lights from us that reside in California and we have not heard any complaints yet. We recommend talking to people on the forums to understand if the authorities will be lenient on this matter before making a decision.
@@HiRevSports I just installed these exact lights and was wondering if there was any animation. Do I have to brake to start engine then let go of the brakes in order to get the animation? Or is there an option to turn on the sequence?
@@gloriaho8092 Are your headlights setting set to Auto? If so, that maybe that's the issue. Try manually switching the headlights from OFF to ON, and if the animation still does not work, email us at info@hirevsports.com and we can help you reset it.

Got 2022 XSE, yes I did do the swap, Lights are NOT fiber optic LED.s , Not bright and poorly manufactured, Installed back my original Lights, Pile of JUNK, Dont waste your $$$
After removing it, it will leave like a rail which is designed for that chrome piece to slide into or installed on top. A lot of our customers have removed it and they liked it.

It'll only be necessary if if you have a trim lower then the XSE or XLE.
How much were they and were did you get them?

Late response but you might have wired something wrong or a defect with the lights

No need to disconnect the battery. Just make sure the ignition is completely shut off

We are hearing this for the first time. Tail lights has nothing to do with that. Check your wiring a fuses.

Ebay is where I got mine, but if you have an L, LE, SE you might need a wiring harness except for XSE and XLE
