- Vector is a new 16-voice digital Synthesizer that is based on the Orbiter/Warp system, a synthesis concept that is also known as vector synthesis. Vector uses 4 corners, each equipped with two overtone generators. These can be morphed/mixed together with your finger on the touchscreen or automatically with the Orbiter/Warp system.
There were numerous new features and improvements in updates 2.3 & 2.4.

Geez that synth can do ANYthing... glad I own one!
It's a LOT of RPi synth ... for a lot of sounds ... and a LOT of really functional interface too ...
Inspiring playing and programming ... I need to try more stuff! Thank you!
I would like to say the giant flashy touchscreen interface is an affront to my decent sensibilities, but who am I trying to kid... This thing looks dope as hell!
Nice synth, great video. Greeting from Italy and happy new year✌️😀
thanks :) greetings from my hometown Luxembourg and for you also happy new year :)
I'm curious to how well a MIDI guitar would drive it... 🤔
I need this in my life
Usually I believe that my VST can do ALL the jobs I want and I am not looking to buy any sorts of real synths, but this one is not like the others, it's got something special and really innovative, makes me think to save money.
Wavestate Native has four vectors and a lot more.
Very cool sounding synth , nice demo :-)
Excellent demo and synth.
Please reed the manual on there website people, so you now what your talking about. An uniq novel synth motor in this one well worth the money. This takes long time to develop and program.
Very nice bit of kit, shame it's just been Christmas. Thanks for the demo, sounds real sharp. Can't wait to get one :D
The only thing preventing me from buying this synth is my Korg Wavestate, that I really like but don't use enough. Four vectors and wave sequencing 2.0 means it's a lot more powerful than Vector.
I keep hoping i week find a video to convince me that this is just another synth and not one of the best sounding synth's i have ever heard.. But every freaking time this thing just sounds amazing no matter what it is doing.. Like scary good.. I really don't have an extra grand to throw at this thing.. It is breaking my heart!!
OBVIOUSLY, THIS THING IS JUST A PIECE OF JUNK.
IT'S FUNNY THOUGH, HOW PEOPLE ARE SO TAKEN IN BY THAT STUPID DISPLAY THAT THEY CAN'T HEAR THE LAME SOUNDS COMING OUT OF IT.
I'VE MANAGED MORE COMPLEX TIMBRES BY PLACING THE PALM OF MY LEFT HAND AGAINST MY RIGHT ARMPIT AND SQUEEZING IT WITH MY SHOULDER.
Sounds dope looks dope. Definitely on the pricey side but that interface and UX is worth something, something that you will actually notice and care about - it will make a difference to how the instrument feels and the music you make with it. Same reason I spent $700 on a Digitakt.
I hear elements of wavetable, particle, FM, and overtone type of engines here.
i don't think there's any wavetables? focused mostly on overtone synthesis? i liiiiiiike it.
the engine is focused on overtones than wavetables or so. You get waveforms where you can change the overtone amount
@@BEHNDY no wavetables, it's about overtones :)
@@synthanatomy yesssss! because of this, your other beautiful demo vidja and Red Means Recording's, ORDERED.
Nice Demo!
thanks Dean :)
That's a nice synth reminds me of refx nexus 2
price?

Sounds like you’re starting up a synth car engine
Nice little machine. GAS alarm!
Both these demos are pretty disappointing soundwise, really dug nearly everything Red Means Recording got out of this box, and Behndy demo was good too. I think it's definitely a synth that's worth setting a patern and tweaking away on that foundation. Although saying the, Red's pads were also stunning.

Nice use of capitals in your comment. Shame the evidence doesn't support your claims...
@@Greebstreebling I GUESS, IF YOU CAN NOT SEE OR HEAR THE VIDEO.
I ASSUME THAT YOU ARE REFERRING TO THE USE OF UPPER CASE LETTERS. SINCE ALL EDUCATED PEOPLE UNDERSTAND THAT IT IS A WORD THAT CAN BE CAPITALIZED BY THE USE OF AN UPPER CASE LETTER AT THE BEGINNING AND NOT THE LETTER THAT IS CAPITALIZED. AND THAT THE CAPS KEY ON YOUR PC KEYBOARD IS A FORTY YEAR OLD MISNOMER. LOL
@@Greebstreebling WHAT EVIDENCE DO YOU HAVE, ANYWAY?
IS IT YOUR INTENTION TO PROVE ME WRONG ABOUT THIS?
THEN TRY.
The physical construction feels solid. One of the coolest aspects is syncing all the spinny stuff to a beat, which these videos don't show. Also, one of its strengths is playing it like in this video, but programming an arp, and using what you play to transpose the arp. I just got one, so I'll hopefully put up some audio. I'll have to get a camera too, now that I have something worth filming while I play. I'm not taping my phone to a mic stand, so you'll have to wait for my videos. Other people have made them, showing off different cool things that this synth does. It definitely has character, so either you'd like that or not.
get an iPad instead
i have an iPad with tons of synths but I love to have more tools, hard and software ;)
@@synthanatomy ha ha ha touché
1st Software Synth in a Box? Sounds really weak in my ears..
software synth? All digital synths are based on code, not only VST plugins also hardware digital synths ;)
lol, every single freaking time... classic. wah wah wah, it's nawt analog and i can hear the digitals.
@@synthanatomy Thanks for the upload. This is certainly interesting. Analog purists need to justify their obsession for less than 10 voice 61 key or more note stealing technology. It's like using a napkin as a blanket 😂
Go see @red means recording.
I did, but I also wanted to hear it played like an organ. I know it sounds funny, but these videos bear me out - I wanted an organ module, but not the typical B3 emulation... something MORE, but still, a synth organ module. For the kind of stuff I like, this is the perfect one. I think I can even map sliders to the overtone generators. The MIDI implementation looks pretty comprehensive, but that's not a priority for me right now. Just figuring it all out is my first priority.
