    Imagine once AT&T puts 10 gig backhaul and makes it 80mhz + 40mhz C Band DoD combo you’re going to be getting over 1 gig speeds easily. I have that same AT&T Prepaid plan as well and I get over 500mbps on the tower by my house and it’s only using 40mhz of 3.7ghz C Band!

    • @PimeTechnology
      @PimeTechnology  Год назад +5

      Absolutely! I'll continue to hunt for a CBand + DOD cell site with 10G backhaul. I'll be sure to post an updated video if I do! Thanks for watching.

    Not bad for 105 MHZ and 1 ag backhaul. Good stuff..And when you said Cox I remember them being only as far North East in Virginia

    I can't wait for AT&T to launch C band in my area by end of this year. My home address is only a 1 mile away from my cell cite my speeds will be blazing soon. Right now I'm only on LTE 1900. Only getting 50 mbps down and about 20 up. Stark county ohio

      I stay here in Washington DC and my phone is starting to see 5G+..check the coverage map for my area and it only shows low band 5g and 5g + MmWave...the 2 MmWave nodes sit inside of a arena and the other near the court house..both which are a good distance from me. A tech did tell me that I am seeing midland and it's going in and out because it's being tested and about to be deployed soon. Kind of what I figured.

  • @AaronRossman
    @AaronRossman Год назад +2

    That's incredible for those distances. My Verizon tower has just the standard 60mhz of C band still. My house is only 0.6 miles away from the tower and when I can connect to it I can pull an absolute maximum of 300mb/s in the middle of the night...usually about 180 during the day. I do not live in a big city by any stretch either lol, small town of about 1,500. ATT signals seem to travel so much further and perform so much better at greater distances than Verizon.

    • @PimeTechnology
      @PimeTechnology  Год назад +1

      That seems to be about right for only 60 MHz of CBand. Once more spectrum goes On Air, with proper backhaul, it should absolutely fly!

    • @AaronRossman
      @AaronRossman Год назад

      @@PimeTechnology I should’ve clarified that maximum is at like 2:00am with no one on lol. During the day I can’t connect really at all, and if I do it would be about 150. We got the 100mhz on now which is sweet but unfortunately my distance still sucks. Doesn’t really connect reliably unless you’re about .3 miles or less.

    They deployed it in Daytona Beach Florida and the C-Band is way slower than the regular 5G low band for some reason. To the point of turning off 5G so videos will load and messages will send. It’s been like this for a few months now.

    • @PimeTechnology
      @PimeTechnology  Год назад

      Yikes. Sounds like they are still in the process of optimizing those sites. I usually give sites 6-8 months post-construction to carve out any bugs/glitches/issues before I judge a site’s performance. Probably some sort of contribution issue happening there on n77.

    First time watching one of your videos. I subscribed today. Excellent video .Good performance from 2 mile distance. How do you get that map to what tower you are connecting to, in cellapper? I don’t see an option for that. Is that for the paid subscription only?

    • @PimeTechnology
      @PimeTechnology  Год назад

      Thanks for watching and subscribing TJ! I was using Cellmapper and Google Maps. In Cellmapper, it will automatically populate a line to the cell site you're connected to. It's a free feature. On Google maps, you can use the measure feature to measure distance from you to the cell site. 😁

    Here tmo does a lot n71+n41 CA on NSA it's very good to stabilize the uploads indoors. Too bad I wouldn't be seeing C band any time soon we only will have n48 as a c band replacement or MMwave so technically n41 does not have competition here in Puerto Rico.

    There's no way AT&T is 5G Plus is getting speeds like that anywhere in Texas. Here in Texas AT&t's 5G Plus doesn't even get past 70 megabits per second on the download and doesn't get past 25 megabits per seconds on the upload and it's regular 5G is even slower. To be honest with you AT&T pro g LTE is faster than both 5G and 5G Plus in my area. There was no way to turn 5G and 5G plus off on my 5G phone. I want to use LTE only and I should have just got an LTE only phone. Because when I had a LTE only phone from AT&T I could watch movies on HBO Max without buffering. But a video won't even load or play at all on AT&T 5G or 5G Plus That's how slow AT&T 5G Plus is so there's no way you're getting those speeds unless you're outside of Texas.

      lol might be your device then because here in Youngstown Ohio I just did like 20 tests and none of them were below 590mbs download and 50mbs upload 😂😂😂😂😂

      AT&T has high market share in Texas... that's likely why you're seeing this unfortunately. :/

  • @BryanG830
    @BryanG830 Год назад

    AT&T 5G plus is so slow that it will not even connect to a server and even start the speed test to the speed test app. And the RUclips app opens but it doesn't show anything It doesn't play anything. AT&T 5G Plus is slower than 2G and 5G is slower than 1G at least in my area here in Texas. And this is during all hours of the day day night overnight morning doesn't matter. Just when I thought T-Mobile had the slowest 5G but it turns out AT&T has the slowest 5G/5G+ then T-Mobile has the second slowest 5G/5G UC and Verizon has the fastest 5G/5G UW.

    • @KILLJOY375
      @KILLJOY375 Год назад

      That is because the 5g plus is short range not really good for long distance. So, with Texas being so big and spread out I am not surprised of your speeds. I lived Texas and every carrier their sucked at the time.
      Where I live in Ohio( not too far from Cleveland) I get both 5G at 135 Mbps and on 5G plus I get 250 to 425 Mbps.
