Hi Steve, the layout is looking good and coming along nicely, the castle scene has really come to life with the introduction of the figures and ice cream van, All the best Allan
Thank you Allan - I am pleased with the look so far but still need some additions, which I will add over time but for now that section is done. Regards Steve
Hi Steve! Once again the speed at which you manage to create little scenes is breathtaking! I've had three weeks off making and posting videos and have barely done anything! Lol! The addition of the people around the station halt and the castle really bring the whole area to life! Great that you were able to fit in a second platform too, although I'd have liked to have seen you test its proximity to the rails with a series of longer coaches - although I'm sure you did this off camera! The addition of a canal was a complete surprise, and I can't wait to see how this turns out! I'm with you when it comes to packing stuff in as I think it makes a layout a lot more interesting! All the best, Ian.
Yes I did test some coaches but forgot to film it - they will appear on future videos no doubt. The quarry Idea came from Gary at Settle and Carlisle and the canal from Stephen at Elvenhome, as well as sone others but it will help to fill that area in and give me some more interest, as well as the riding school and campsite for the scouts (all to come yet). I just want to add in as much as possible on this one. Regards Steve
Hi Steve, loads of work done there mate, you put me to shame, lol! I must say adding the figures really brought the scene to life around the castle, and the station is really coming together with the second platform. As for the land forming I’m looking forward to seeing that with the scenery added and the and how the quarry turns out too. Plenty happening, nice work mate, cheers for now, John
Thank you John - now you have started with the laying of the rails it wont be long until the scenery on you layout starts - you've already go a brilliant station set up and the bridges look fantastic. Regards Steve
Thanks Chris - its all coming along nicely but I did have a few issues with on of the lights so had to replace it. Made me grateful for the fact I left plenty of room and wire length to be able to get a fix in quick! Regards Steve
Hi Steve, the area in front of Castle is taking shape nicely, looking forward to seeing the quarry area and canal develop. After seeing your Castle we temporarily resurrected ours for a rock concert. We've took it back down for now due to lack of space. Hopefully one day it will be permanently put back in place. Did you catch the Dylington Rocks video my grandson has recently added to his channel, it's all because he saw your Castle. Loud rock music, flashing lights and a few trains running ...cheers James 🙂👍
Yes I watched that video - brilliant additional effects yes very talented is that grandson of yours. What a great setting for a rock concert! Regards Steve
Hi Steve - castle scene is looking good and the second platform was certainly called for. Roads, canals - certainly plenty of work ahead for you.😊 cheers Euan
Thanks Euan - I loved the little short video you put out entitled chilling with the trans - I try and go in the shed each day for an hour and just watch them run around and ponder on whats next to do - isn't that the whole point of the hobby though? Regards Steve
@@lynganddistrictexactly Steve - great to just watch the trains. I was pondering ripping out the High Street as it's on a slope and has annoyed me ever since I put it in but never completed the end of the scene. The deed has been done !!!😊
Cheers Sion - its getting there - loved the work you've done o the rocks and the latest update showing the areas painted up and already grassed and fenced look great. Regards Steve
