@@DivKid That's what I thought when I listened to it, that it must have sounded incredible on a large PA. I hope he gets to play in the large auditorium next Superbooth.
Ummm hard to say what modular is MADE for. The smartest thing he is presumably doing is limiting his tools (by using just his own modules, I can’t tell). The rest of us need to find other ways of doing this.
Wow, this is so different than his module-breakdown instructional patching. Really makes clear the importance of chord-forming modules and looping/feedback to his array of inventions.
intricate and expressive, really masterful imo reminds me of waves on an alien planet appreciate his command of the bigger structure - not easy on modular
There’s NOTATION to all of this! Of course! (teasing!) At least we are seeing a module designer patch, or at least play a patch. Sure haven’t seen THAT very much.
This is actively hostile to people’s hearing when listened to on a descent system & my ATC’s delivered every hostile frequency. I may or may not like the music. I can’t tell. It delivers tinnitus to anyone who can hear upper harmonics. Get a mastering engineer. I will not touch music from anyone involved until this happens.

super, thanks 👍
it's been a long time since I've seen a modular artist perform with notation. A truly inspired and remarkable performance.
Absolutely interesting process both in the preparation and in the execution. It was phenomenal in the room on a great PA.

The interplay of the drums and the Harmonaig + Saich is pretty amazing in this patch. Jason rules.
Truly one for the Akashic Records ❤ 🔥 🙏
Absolutely beautiful. This is what Modular is made for.
certainly a unique performance making a lot of what the modules can do.

Thank you for posting! Jason's performances and workshops are by far my favorite to watch.
I've watched a lot of live modular performances and this is by far the best I've seen. Amazing work!
Jason kills it as usual. Incredible.
that music score next to the case ❤
Really enjoyed that!

well said, there's something alien robotics about those intense short loops of the drums in my mind. thanks for the comment
This is cool stuff!

Yeah Jason was a musician first, he's an interest back story and a lot of instrumental skill and musical knowledge.
This sound just like me on the Panhamonium,- until it doesnt ! Perfect ! This is so BadAss Cool Uber-Strange-Etude ! Lovely performance !
I need an Abhar , and a Luhbar in my life !
The Emperor looks lovely in that suit.
Emperor Instruo, voltage fiddler of the highlands.

what is used to sample the drum beats at 12:35 ?
I go into depth on the patching here:

You can see in the workshop video, this is Jason playing and recording himself playing the drums.
Thats how you do it
very nice sounds but mostly automated, I don't see him tweaking a lot of knobs.. please dont call that 'live'
