    Congradulations Giannis for surpassing Eddie Johnson on the NBA all-time leading scorers list👏👏👏...You are too young to remember him.Greeks,especially Olympiakos's fans,had the privilege of enjoying his game in Greece back in the 90's...We gave him here the nickname "Eddie the pistol" 🔫...We were lucky enough to see in the greek league players like Eddie Johnson,David Rivers,Walter Berry,Alphonso Ford,Roy Tarpley( alcohol addiction killed his NBA career,he could have been one of the best power forwards in the history of basketball),Mitchell Wiggins(father of Andrew Wiggins),David Ingram(father of Brandon Ingram),Byron Scott and of course,the best of the best,Dominique Wilkins...Back in the 90's greek league had the best european coaches,some of the best european talents,the former NBA players i just mentioned and some greek legends,including the best Greek player ever,the best european scorer ever,Nick Galis,who was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2017.He is the reason why every school in Greece has a basketball court.Drafted by Boston Celtics in 1979,but didnt stay to U.S .He was offered a contract he couldn't reject (from Aris) and came to Greece.Celtics then-president Red Auerbach later said that the single biggest mistake he ever made in his career was not keeping Galis...Now,all you Americans know why Greeks love basketball🙂

    giannis is the guy the nba needs to be focused on promoting.
    instead it feels like they're running a campaign against him.
    he has so much beyond his games (which is always a thrill to watch) to offer fans.

    Bucks need to lower Brook Lopez minutes even if the players love him, Bucks should have won this game by 20 but Brook couldn't stop the paint penetration. Play Tyler Smith, Chris Livingston and move Giannis to the Center so he gets calls and can actually play defense instead of Brook who is slow and lets the refs call fouls on him basically every time he tries to guard.

    "We're all alpha male" was interesting 🥴

    • @druniversal21
      @druniversal21 23 дня назад +3

      My feeling is that phrase gets thrown around a lot in sports, but it doesn't necessarily always mean "we all want to be in charge." Not saying that's what you were saying at all, just feel like "alpha" is thrown around a lot in sports - period. What I hear (at least when Giannis and Dame say the word 'alpha') is "leader." Giannis is used to being the leader of the Bucks. Dame was used to being the leader of the Blazers. Now they have to figure out how to lead together. From my perspective and in my profession - as a teacher...whenever you have to teach a class with another teacher it's always a little bizarre unless you've taught with them before and/or you know them very well. That's sort of how I imagine they've felt over the course of the first year+ playing together. Good news is - once you and your co-teacher figure it out, magic can happen.

      @@Energyclan1 Giannis( Γιάννης) is a Greek name some people translated as John but from Γιάννης to Giannis is a "translation" that is automatically made for passports and id so you can pretty much write the pronunciation. I cant explain a lot because this is something in the Greek language that there is nothing similar in the English language so English speakers have a hard time to understand. The only other language i have seen this(that i cant even explain) is German

    • @elizajane91
      @elizajane91 23 дня назад +6

      Yes he's played hero ball past 3 games. However; I think here in this presser he is calling himself out. They played a bad a game (and won) but he's saying had they played like a team, it could've been an easy win.

      @zenchristafarian4404 23 дня назад +8

      You don't see what the rest of us see. Giannis is one of the greatest players of ALL TIME. He knows what he is capable of, yet he still passes often and greatly. He is VERY unselfish....

    • @druniversal21
      @druniversal21 23 дня назад +1

      @@elizajane91 I agree. He was 100% calling himself out in that moment. But also, I don't think he was playing hero ball tonight. Now, against the Celtics, that's another story lol...

      @Mattplanespotter 23 дня назад

      @@joedoe7839 My point, the win would be a way wider margin! Not neck and neck for a large part of the game. That is the clear point.

    • @druniversal21
      @druniversal21 23 дня назад

      ball dominant players will always have more TO's than others. Do we want Giannis to have 7 TO's in a game? Hell no. But @joedoe7839 's point is valid - without his other stats, we almost certainly lose the game.
