Congradulations Giannis for surpassing Eddie Johnson on the NBA all-time leading scorers list👏👏👏...You are too young to remember him.Greeks, especially Olympiakos's fans, had the privilege of enjoying his game in Greece back in the 90's...We gave him here the nickname "Eddie the pistol" 🔫...We were lucky enough to see in the greek league players like Eddie Johnson,David Rivers,Walter Berry,Alphonso Ford,Roy Tarpley( alcohol addiction killed his NBA career,he could have been one of the best power forwards in the history of basketball),Mitchell Wiggins(father of Andrew Wiggins),David Ingram(father of Brandon Ingram),Byron Scott and of course, the best of the best,Dominique Wilkins...Back in the 90's greek league had the best european coaches, some of the best european talents, the former NBA players i just mentioned and some greek legends, including the best Greek player ever, the best european scorer ever,Nick Galis, who was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2017.He is the reason why every school in Greece has a basketball court.Drafted by Boston Celtics in 1979,but didnt stay to U.S .He was offered a contract he couldn't reject (from Aris) and came to Greece.Celtics then-president Red Auerbach later said that the single biggest mistake he ever made in his career was not keeping Galis...Now,all you Americans know why Greeks love basketball🙂
giannis is the guy the nba needs to be focused on promoting. instead it feels like they're running a campaign against him. he has so much beyond his games (which is always a thrill to watch) to offer fans.
Calling yourself out. Great game giannis keep doin your thing mvp. You guys are still growing as a team and i love it esp from what the bench has been able to do
Bucks need to lower Brook Lopez minutes even if the players love him, Bucks should have won this game by 20 but Brook couldn't stop the paint penetration. Play Tyler Smith, Chris Livingston and move Giannis to the Center so he gets calls and can actually play defense instead of Brook who is slow and lets the refs call fouls on him basically every time he tries to guard.
I hope the refs start calling flagrant fouls that are committed against Giannis...there were at least two against him tonight, and Foster ignored and would not call them
My feeling is that phrase gets thrown around a lot in sports, but it doesn't necessarily always mean "we all want to be in charge." Not saying that's what you were saying at all, just feel like "alpha" is thrown around a lot in sports - period. What I hear (at least when Giannis and Dame say the word 'alpha') is "leader." Giannis is used to being the leader of the Bucks. Dame was used to being the leader of the Blazers. Now they have to figure out how to lead together. From my perspective and in my profession - as a teacher...whenever you have to teach a class with another teacher it's always a little bizarre unless you've taught with them before and/or you know them very well. That's sort of how I imagine they've felt over the course of the first year+ playing together. Good news is - once you and your co-teacher figure it out, magic can happen.
@@Energyclan1 Its Yianni, he missed the I, probably accidentally or otherwise. But it doesn't matter, cause 'Giannis' is an English translated name, not his proper name, alphabet is different.
@@Energyclan1 Giannis( Γιάννης) is a Greek name some people translated as John but from Γιάννης to Giannis is a "translation" that is automatically made for passports and id so you can pretty much write the pronunciation. I cant explain a lot because this is something in the Greek language that there is nothing similar in the English language so English speakers have a hard time to understand. The only other language i have seen this(that i cant even explain) is German
Yes he's played hero ball past 3 games. However; I think here in this presser he is calling himself out. They played a bad a game (and won) but he's saying had they played like a team, it could've been an easy win.
You don't see what the rest of us see. Giannis is one of the greatest players of ALL TIME. He knows what he is capable of, yet he still passes often and greatly. He is VERY unselfish....
@@elizajane91 I agree. He was 100% calling himself out in that moment. But also, I don't think he was playing hero ball tonight. Now, against the Celtics, that's another story lol...
@ amazing how other NBA analysis don’t agree with you and your broken English about how Giannis passes greatly and often or however you try to say it he had one assist tonight
ball dominant players will always have more TO's than others. Do we want Giannis to have 7 TO's in a game? Hell no. But @joedoe7839 's point is valid - without his other stats, we almost certainly lose the game.
Giannis is the healthiest role model a young person can have nowadays!
thats a realy good comment
Giannis the KING of the NBA! (and the MVP KING)
Or maybe Zeus of the NBA...
No he is Ogun God of Iron Crusher of Greek appropriation@@zenchristafarian4404
Bucks shutting up the Bucks hating media by just winning games makes it all the more sweeter..😆
He’s been on a MVP tear since calling his team out 💪🏽 💯
he didn't call out his team. he was saying that to a reporter ruclips.net/video/ifm143ZGSPk/видео.htmlsi=dJjoHuorHdqg71mR

End the last game, also all the where doing was fouling him each time he drove to the basket, overtime.
@robertharvey9366 That guy, Stewart, from the Pistons would have been suspended at least two games if it had been the Joker that he threw down.
Great game giannis i like the defense effort do love more of that and bobby portis and u need to play more lineup then brook again fast Pace teams

So basically I can expect 58 heart attacks by the end of the season..Great to know😂😂😂
Congrats guys!!!🎉🎉🎉
Love your swagger, ch 3:00 amp! Just win, baby! 😊
Lopez opens the door to the paint all the time, KAT had too much fun with him in it last time they played NY.
How Giannis calling Khris old when Dame is 2 years older than Khris xD
Let’s keep it up. Gotta clean up a few things along the way Yani.

7 turnovers for the Bucks 1st quarter.
Yeah, and had 37 points, 7 rebounds, 4 blocks, and 2 steals, while shooting over 60% from the field. Your point?
