In another words only contract the contractors who the state allows
whether the contractors license is irrelevant when the laborers don't need to be licensed.
The only difference is licensed contractors have a license to rip you off. Having a license is no guarantee in Florida you will get the job done right or even done at all. It just means the state will side with screwing you when it goes to court.
Arresting people that are working is remedial .
I done contactor work in Texas and never had a license as a contractor.
I was on a jury about a contractor not providing correct contracts. He was found guilty and issued time in jail before going to another state for same crime.
Unlicensed contractors do better jobs than licensed ones.
Personal responsibility is dying in the US. Dont hire a person without checking credentials.
Licensing for contractors is just taken away your rights to work and feed your family
I blame people for not doing their research before hiring a contractor, also prices of these services are so expensive now where people are looking to go cheap and don’t care if these people are licensed or not people want good deals ,make crap affordable again !
Finally the law is being enforced
This is BS those contractors came to get jobs long due to be done, done. Not every county requires these licenses and many were from one county over. This was a police cash grab and publicity stunt. 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽
Counties don't decided that states do. We live in the United States not the unite counties.
@@kyledawson4535 Wrong look up county requirements. I know people personally affected by these disgusting officers. The next county over doesn’t require such license
Counties don't make laws. Can you name your Counties legislators, do you vote on county laws diffrent from the next county over. Do you have a county house of representatives and congress, do you have a county constitution?
Let me help you out, the answer is no
You need to go back and study your elementary school civics text book.
@ dude just look up if counties in Florida require different permits. I’m not even mentioning laws. (Again just look it up!! I apologize for confusion I may have caused)
😂 so most of the huge companies looking for a cheaper bid are they getting in trouble too?
It's Florida, it is what it is.
Get out of Florida, they are not playing down there. Good job!
Finally doing something....here in California everyone is a contractor...
They bust unlicensed contractors but leave the drug dealers running free and selling drugs to kids smh thank u Clearwater
People don't want to wait 2 or 3 years to get their house fixed while waiting for a licensed contractor to become available. They will continue to hire those who are not for that reason and because they are cheaper. If you really want to stop this stuff, then fine the homeowner as well. Oh, that's right, homeowners vote.
And why the state removed licensing in 2023?
PLEASE come to Orange County Orlando. We have over 50 Air Duct Cleaner scammers operating here!!
With everyone arrested who will fix the hurricane damages?
Narcissists, sosciopaths, and psychopaths. They always have to have a victim. And they NEVER let them go. Never.
40 arrests and over 100K in projects? When I was doing contracting, that would have been 1 project or a part of a project...
This is the only sheriff in the state arresting unlicensed dirtbag. Grady Judd wants sit around and drink coffee all day. Nice job sheriff.
How about arresting those in the city government who issue these permits for years, you can wait forever for them, and someone gets these permits in a couple of days
They should come do this here in Los Angeles California
Wow 😮, is a great job from the police officers
Homeowner and the insurance companies should be checking people out before hiring. Easy !
So cops chasing contractors now ? Must be good money in it. !
Thank you good job 💯👍 sent them back...
