OFFICIAL swimming competitions take place in either 50 or 25 meter pools. (OLYMPIC competitions, specifically, must take place in 50 meter.) It's not less official because the pool is shorter... as it wouldn't be "more official" if it were a 100 meter pool. You're obviously not an insider to the world of swimming...
i would disagree and say it is less "official", there are two categories to world records (25m and 50m) because 25m pools involve much less stroke and more underwater. 25m is less impressive and easier to swim in
Both categories are equally official. Some swimmers will find 25m pools easier to swim in if they are strong in the underwater and turn phases, however others would prefer 50m pools if they are perhaps not as strong in the underwater phase/tend to use their upper body more when they swim/do not like having the rhythm of their stroke interrupted. Short course pools also require more frequent turns which require a significant amount of strength and energy if performed properly. Neither is less impressive than the other, they are simply different in nature.
And soon Joseph Schooling will follow "Chad footsteps" from Regional title to Asian, and then ...take on the World Championship by Storm or Stormbringer. Beginning with SEA Games 2013 in Myanmar now, that had just started. Come on... Majulah Singapura !!!

And he does everything wrong, its just about putting alot of shit in him that makes him go over his actuall physical limit. His technique is really just bad, like really bad. Keep in mind that I compare him to the greatest since that's where he is now. You can take alot of good butterfly swimmers out there and you can see how beautiful they swim. Head down after surfacing and hitting the wall, not turning his fucking head around like a monkey:P I just really hope he gets taken for whatever he is taking, cuz he ain't doing this without cheats:P
