- Want to know what to do if you lose control of your steering in th rain? In this video defensivedriving.com spokesman Ryan Wickerham explains the dangers of driving in the rain, the causes of hydroplaning, and how to avoid hydroplaning in different vehicle types.
Fundamentally, they seem to be saying if you hydroplane, just pick your favourite place to crash
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@idontfukncareabout yep 🤣😂😂😂😂😂🤣
Well, it would have helped my first accident- would have been much better if I went into the fence on the other side of the road rather than overcorrecting the other way into a telephone pole
Everybody has to go sometime.
@@Creeperboy099 So your implying that you've had more than one accident?
if you have a rwd car without abs and traction control and start hydroplaning, just drift it
nice troll
dennis cheruiyot only if u a bitch that can't drift xD
no its not. you dont need either with some half decent tires and basic driver control
my car doesn't even have traction control
Tom traction control is useless.
Or just go even faster until you open a time warp and travel back in time to when it wasn't raining.
just go 88 mph! you have to be in a delorean though...

You have to have a flux compasitor tho, idek if that’s what it’s called
obviously you clutch kick into a drift
Should be common sense
You're a fuckboi then transition into a reverse entry obviously
Takumi Fujiwara you would know wouldn’t you
Donovan Gunther of course
It would work if it were dry, but if it were slick, you probably wouldn’t be able to control it unless you were really close to the top of the power band. Not to mention that if you are hydroplaning you are already at a loss of traction. If you happen to be in a rwd car, you would let off the throttle, steer in the direction you wish to go, then play with the throttle to keep the drift going.
I have yet to hydroplane, maybe one day, running in the 90s.
yes i wanna know, yes i wanna see

My typical reaction to hydroplaning is just continuing to drive normally. Most hydroplane events last only a couple seconds and don't cause the car to become dangerously unbalanced unless you took a corner too fast or something.
Hydroplaning is perfect, drifts but you don't waste tred!
Not entirely true ;) You do still drive on a tire which has an amount of friction to the ground, you just have less friction to the ground.. In other words, you still have wear on your tires, just less than normal.. If we are talking full on hydroplaning, then yes.. That's to an even lower degree of wear, but that's because you have an airpocket between the compound of the tire and the ground.. But with that, you also have no control over the tire in that exact moment, other than what the balance of the car is going to be once the tire again is able to push away water from it self :-)

i make sure that i called my buddy to a hydroplane tandem drift
that's because you've never hydroplaned. it is absolutely nothing like drifting. if anything, it's more like insane infinite understeer. it's awful
Literally got so lucky this morning, I was at a usually busy four way intersection and took a right turn a bit too quickly for the conditions and ended up hitting a patch of water and ended up doing a complete spin out through the median into what would have been oncoming traffic BUT THE ENTIRE USUALLY BUSY ASS ROAD WAS EMPTY. Jesus was trying to prove a point for not kill me apparently.

I just had a close call as 2/3 lanes had flooded, contacted police, waited at the spot waving down cars to slow down. 40 minutes later, still no response, witness a car spin out at high speed and total the car. lucky that car wasn't surrounded by traffic in the other two lanes, of which have many trucks. called police two more times, they claimed they drove by but I was there the whole time - they didn't. 2 hours of my peasant, civilian ass waving cars to slow down while police do nothing. didn't hear anything from them until a little after I left because the flooding had gone down. Serve and protect, so they say.
40 mph on a wet highway? No thanks. That's what will cause an accident.
lol i was hittin 90 following a work truck in like an inch of rain
GoProGuy12 40 mph maybe in an absolute downpour, but otheriwise 50-55 with all-weather tires is fine for drizzle/showers
Mixtape Dropper lol what a puss, you can go over 60 with rain..
You're so cool, wow!
Push your luck and eventually you'll be shitting your pants. Other people speeding? Stay in the slow lane. I hydroplaned once in my 50+ years and that was all I needed. Depending on tires, keep it under 50 in case you hit a depression with deeper water. There's a spot on a highway where I live that's downhill maybe 20 degrees. You would think water can't possibly build up on a hill like that. You'd be wrong.
So stupid and terribly described. People need to be put on skid pads in drivers education. You can't explain how to control a car. You have to feel it
Its an attempt to educate. Obviously not everyone can experience a slide on skid pad.
Although it would be a good idea.
I seriously doubt someone would remember all this when they start to hydroplane. It’s terrifying.

Well, maybe. But in my case, my mom taught me how to manage hydroplaning. It's two rules: 1. Foot off brake and accelerator. 2. Hold on to the wheel.
Now, if you forget #1, then you might have to do all the extra stuff. Best wishes 🤍
Just last week in Houston I hydroplaned on highway59 in my Infiniti g35. I was in the far left lane of a 5 lane highway during heavy rain and rush hour. Mind you everyone is doing at least 60mph. Time literally slowed down the moment I felt the back end shift. I didn't blink once during this time and immediately accepted my fate with about 3seconds before impacting the wall to decide how I would crash as safely as possible. I will say that I got lucky that the back end swung to the right else the massive pile up that could have occurred would have been tragic. All in all the front end hit the wall an the car did a 360, the counter steer within the 3seconds b4 impact brought it back onto the shoulder as it came to a stop. I got a bump on the nose an no one else was involved. During a hydroplane event, only God an split second driver skill can save you.
I got into a hydroplane today as well on 59 North in my Lexus GS350. Thankfully it was just me, I was in the far left lane as well and was hydroplaning to the right, and I hit the guard rail when I steered the other way.
simple solution to almost everything: drive slowly in dangerous circumstances
_"HOW DARE YOU SUGGEST SUCH A TREACHEROUS THING, HERETIC"_
From car crash compilations I actually noticed that most accidents happen when someone is in a hurry!
no driving slowly is how accidents are caused in poor visibility conditions
just leave more space than usual for the increased stopping time and continue as normal.
if youre doing 60kms an hour on the highway in heavy rain, and someone is doing 100 before they know it theyre in your back seat cause youre a moron and dont know how to drive a car in less than ideal conditions

I've literally seen rollover crasges caused by what you're suggesting as an alternative. definitely drive slower, but not as slow as the video suggests.

The best thing to do when hydroplaning is to remember your port and starboard and to use the rudder to navigate between the buoys. It's actually pretty simple.
The harder part is docking.
Also, sonar is obligatory so you don't run into anything unpleasant.
if I was in a driving class watching this, I would be falling asleep. why am I watching leisurely right now?
I hydroplaned in Austin, Texas in a 1996 Saturn coupe, was going about 70mph on a 4 lane highway, in the furthest to the right lane, thankfully I got the car stopped 1 foot from concrete barrier, perfectly parked towards oncoming traffic on shoulder, it was a super quick jerk to the left right towards the barrier. when it hydroplaned, I’m grateful that people in the other lanes were able to slow down in time, because that car swung across all 4 lanes so fast, I felt like I was loosing control at 100mph, I did bust a brake line in the process, but I managed to drive the car still, back up to Chicago Illinois with barley any brakes. This happened this past December
As a rule of thumb, I always try to brake in a straight line with the steering wheel kept straight and avoid braking where I'm required to turn as the rear wheels may end up locking causing the whole car to fishtail. Also, I assume that I don't have any ABS, ESP, or any electronic controls since you may not know you have them or they simply fail.
Actually, you sing Casting Crowns to survive one unscathed.
I was just watching that video......
AAAUUUUUAAAAGGGHHH
Good points in this but I do not think slowing down from 60 to 40 is a good idea. Then you not only have visibility issues, but you have an extra 20 miles per hour of speed differential between you and the traffic around you
i hyrdroplaned once, i was going 70 and it started to rain hard so while slowing down to 60 i lost control. but thank god, i was pretty much by myself, no one around me. there was an older couple behind me who stopped to make sure i was alright. and to make it even better, the car for the most part was fine, it was just stuck in a mud ditch on the side of the road.
stock civic eg hatch at 1:16 lol

Please Take A Sip Actually there is BONE STOCK EG in my city. It even has stock intake

im pretty sure theres a stock 240 hatch at 0:53 but it could also be a flipup headlight honda, hard to tell
So, it does exist
Also for a cruise control scenario, when the car gears down, the sudden boost of power could also cause the tires to break loose. This is especially hazardous if you're in the middle of even the slightest of curves.
I didn't though about the cruise control.
Wow
I hydroplaned on my 3rd driving lesson, at 40mph, was a great experience
The first day i had to learn skid control (what they are showing here in the vid) it was foggy, snowy, and icy! What a great way to learn in. --was in a driving range/closed driving course--
I'm not taking advice from people who are not professional drivers. Most pros say to just stay off brakes (NO MATTER WHAT CAR) keep your eyes on the road, not where you want to crash, and when you catch traction, then go on about your business. The end. Also what the fuck does it matter if you have ABS or not? Loss of traction is fucking loss of traction. They threw that in there so you will think they know what they're talking about. Gtfoh.
True when you lose traction abs wont do anything like it will only release the brake but it won't engage them couse theres no grip to spin the tires
Wish I woulda known that when I hydroplaned I was in a jeep ironically sliding into a a wall of a bridge

Ease off the gas and gently steer into the skid. That's it.
Happened to me last year. I live in Germany, where the Autobahn, or highway has no speed limits. So even when it's raining, or snowing, you see people driving at ridiculous speeds. I've seen idiots drive at 140kmh on snow.
I was on my way to the airport to drop off a friend. It was raining a lot that day and I do admit.... my tires had to be changed. I was approaching minimal depth. Anyway, even in rainy conditions, I do have to keep up with traffic, so I drove at 110kmh. And then in a corner I felt the car veer off to the right and the tail starting to slide.
I eased off the accelerator and kept the skid for about 2-3 seconds, before the car regained traction and then drove the rest of the journey slower. Stuck to the right lanes.
Smart driving.
You can hydroplane at 80kmh.
I was doing 150 kmph the other day on the autobahn and the road was wet and it felt pretty grippy still. Not hard rain though.
I just follow the signs that state 80 or 100 Bei nasse.
I've never seen that front end before, I thought it was an Escalade conversion or something. Thanks for the info!
WTF DUDE MY SUBARU HAS AWD
then just powerslide through corners
Casey Colbert i drift my r32, come into turns fast enough, drift is no big deal. even when its dry
Floor it and trurn a little
Flyin sushi skylines aren’t very good drift cars. The atticas system is more suited for grip
If you have AWD just pray
It has happened to me few times on the highway in very heavy rain or a huge water puddle and i just release the accelerator and hold the steering wheel straight and as tight as i can and that gets me out of it every single time, never ever hit the brakes. Only when you feel you got back the control of your car apply the brakes very gently to slow down a little.
So you're a slow learner. Got it. How 'bout you quit driving and let the rest of us live a little longer?
suckittomcat
I been driving OTR tractor trailer for 22 years without a single accident and only 2 traffic tickets so quit being a smart ass. I got my license at 16 and had one accident when i was 17 since then i never had a single accident, now i am 43 and have a spotless driving record. I guarantee you don't drive because you would know for sure what happens when the drainage system is not working or clogged on a highway and you hit large puddle of water at 60mph.
+suckittomcat
Well i tired to steer it in an open area ...but ended up colliding with a electrical post, im ok but the car is not :(
did you brake really hard?
nope i didnt brake at all, as it happened so quick

What is the benefit of hitting the accelerator with traction control? Also, I think my truck (Ram 2019) has the traction off light on
This is a great explanation
So i should i crash? Yup got it!
Best strategy is to NOT hydroplane. If you insist on pushing your luck, then you will learn the hard way.
So, Tomcat, you're recommending that somebody just crashes when they hydroplane just because? That's better than them learning the handling characteristics of their vehicle?
Lol 60 on a dry highway that's funny

Sorry, but I don't live anywhere near a road upon which it is safe, legal and responsible to drive at 95 mph. But I guess I misunderstood. She was referring to "assholes"? Got it. ;-)
I feel like weight distribution plays a big factor in this too. My tacoma slides all over the place when turning because the distribution of weight is off centered, and it is lifted a few inches so the center of gravity is much higher.
that might be more because of how much weight you have in the back. if the bed is empty, there's barely more than couple hundred pounds weighing down the rear wheels, making it easier for them to spin. if you drive a truck in the rain, take corners super light and don't accelerate on a corner. the more weight you have in the back the less of a problem this is but it's still a good habit to be in.
Wish I had seen this before my trip yesterday. I was going 80 (I know I know) and came down a hill and it had just started raining, hit a small thing of water and did a 360 and spent 100-200 yards speeding backwards in the median. Scary stuff.
When this happens, I just drift my way out :)
When it happens to me, I just restart the level and try again

Can a bicycle hydroplane?
yes
AdrianR74 what about my legs?
Anything can hydroplane, but bikes and motorbikes are far less likely because they usually already have absolutely tiny contact patches and while there is much less weight on a bike, it can usually cut through the water because the amount of pressure those tiny contact patches have to take is much lower.
It's kinda like diving. the less contact area, the less it will resist and the further into the water it can go.
Road bicycles have bad traction to start with.
When cornering on a road bike, slow down, bank and steer wide whenever possible.
The sharper the turn, the more likely you will slide and fall sideways.
Times I lost control of my road bicycle:
Potholes: 2
Branches: 1
Cornering: I lost count.
manictiger no offense but you need to practice more
interesting video but the last time i hydroplaned or aquaplaned as we call it over here there was no steering at all. the front wheels were completely floating on the surface of the water. Which is what happens. you might as well not have front wheels.
My advice in that situation is to not try to brake or accelerate, instead try to match the wheel speed with your driving speed so the wheel has the best chance of re-gripping the road and when it does you won't suddenly speed up or slow down, causing more potential problems.
If you brake and the wheel stops or slows then the water will continue to cause lift as it goes under it. if you accelerate then your wheel will increase the film of water pushed under it.
This was in a front wheel drive , the rules for rear wheel are simpler as the front wheels are not under drive. the situation depends on if the front or rear wheels are planing, if it is the front then decelerating slowly (not braking) will help keep the car in a straight line until the front wheels regain grip. if you accelerate then the rear pushing the planing front means a spin or worse for sure.
if the rear wheels are planing then try to match wheel speed to moving speed to help the return of traction.
Either way don't decide to steer a sudden change of course or move the steering wheel as you may not know which way they are pointing when they hit the road again with potential disastrous results. (front wheel planing).
Nice and informative video. TFS
How the hell do you remember any of this?
My Rav4 would hydro all the time. Just keep calm and keep driving. Don't be afraid of the rain, just adjust your driving style.

Haha, yes, I am. The 'couve is lovely.
When you've lost control of your car, I highly doubt you could process all of this information in your head in the process of 1-2 seconds, let alone go against your own reactions to slam on the brakes/yank the steering wheel the opposite way without any kind of practice.
Actually, releasing the accelerator feels like a normal reaction to me.. Imo, i think you are pretty stupid to suddenly brake or yank the steering wheel. But maybe that's just me..
When I'm in danger I brake, it's not that complicated. When I'm going towards a wall I turn the opposite way, also not that complicated. It's instinct, it's what I do naturally.
Well, everybody has different reactions i would say. Maybe i have this reaction because i work in the automotive sector.. i dont know ..
you are absolutely right. i had that horrible experience just a week ago. under rain, car started sliding one way then when i tried to correct, it started to spin the other way, this went on like 3-4 times and eventually i reared into the barriers at the side of the road. this slide-correcting lasted 15-20 seconds but i couldn't even think about using brakes or gas either. i just tried to correct the car which was not enough.
Aww man, im sorry to hear that! .. Hopefully you were not hurt and your car is not total loss now! :/
What if you drive a 2013 power wheels Escalade: Big Boy! edition with rear wheel drive. Do I follow the same procedure?
Never hydroplaned, but I saw a truck hydroplane during a low speed turn once. He corrected pretty quickly but it was still scary.
So my tires should be THICC AF BOIIIIII👌👌
Front wheel drive cars, put it in neutral immediately. Your car will straighten out and you will regain traction. Works every time.
fr?
fuck it, i just keep gassin it, just dont hit turns lol
You are never supposed to take your car out of gear while driving, let alone in an extreme hydroplane situation your car will be whipped around and rolling into another car due to the driver shifting to N and wont hit the brakes because they are disoriented do not give advice like this to amateur drivers please.
Christopher Walker Except that forces you to throw on the brake as well which is an entirely different situation. Never shift, simply let off the gas and attempt to regain control.
Downshift into 2nd gear, hit the gas and do a burnout. you will dry to road surface like that and you gtg
Best bit of this safety video - the host getting out of a car and it nudging forward - presumably left it in Park with no e-brake on 😂
No problem! Denalis are not very common trucks, and they were quite expensive so most people went with the caddy for around the same sticker price.
You only hydroplane at 60mph and above unless you have shit tires. Just let off the gas and slow down until you regain traction. This isn't rocket science, it's common sense. Buy some good tires and you can go even faster.
Hydroplaning can occur at much lower speeds than 60 mph even with good tires.
John Jacob depends on how deep the water is.
Mine did it at 20 mph after turning
what about AWD?
you gas up, tell your codriver to keep reading the notes because your totally fine
Samir, You're breaking the car!
AWD is the same as a front/back drive with traction control, ease off the accelerator and switch to neutral
I was wondering the same exact thing!!
neutral?! youll never be able to put down power in time in the case that you need to!
I've driven 80 000 km so far and I've never lost control of my car. Adjust your driving speed & don't do excessive breaking when it's raining or the road is wet/icy and be especially careful when doing turns, it's a no brainer.
This is very helpful
I remove my tires when it's raining. Never had a problem yet.
What would Harambe do?
He would drag the car by the tire to the side of the road while getting shot at
First time in my life i lost control of my vehicle today. Was headed back to work going doen a hill and a somewhat sharp left. I was going the speed i would have if it was dry since it was just a drizzle. In the blink of an eye on the exit of the corner the rear tires broke loose snapped the car into a slide i let off the gas and contersteered immediatly. At this point it was to late i was already side was at 300° in the opposite lane. My front tires cault the curb at the perfect angle jumped the car up then i seen sparks out the window. I look back to my right steering wheel locked as i passed right by a tree. Miraculously i havnt seen any damage to any suspension or anything else under the car. The camber is right on all tires. As well as toe angle. This is probably one of the luckiest days of my life whoever was watching over me today thanks.
Really wish i had my dashcam in to after that. Be careful folks doesnt matter of u have pilot sport+ tires u can still loose it pretty easy if the ground is just right.
These kinds of public service broadcasts were common back in the 60s and shown on all the major networks throughout the year.
Now days many states have abolished driver education in high schools.
Hydroplaning in that little water? That's why I hate driving small cars with tiny ass tires
Austin A most vehicles can hydroplane in an inch of water
Austin A The smaller the tires, the more weight you have on each square inch of contact with the road. Skinny tires lower your chances of hydroplaning
thats not how friction works you fucking idiot
Actually it kind of is how it work. Notice how road bicycles have skinny tires with no more contact area that a quarter? Its because with a 200 lbs person you have about 100lbs/inch for the contact areas. I doubt youd be able to handle 100lbs pressing on any part of your body without it doing some serious damage, but thats one way of getting traction. It just cuts right through the water. Another way would be to increase your surface area, like mountain bike tires or racing cars. If you wanted to ride a road bike on a mountain bike course, you probably could but youd have no traction because it would barely touch the ground in any capacity. Its just different ways of staying in control. You fucking idiot.
the width of the tire has little to do with traction in rain, it is all about tread design, obviously a wider tire allows for more tread which means more traction
All of this is even worse on snow and ice (=
foufoufun0 even more fun for drifting and doing donuts
Kasam
So true lol. I suck at it though.
foufoufun0 you got rwd or fwd
Kasam
transmission? forward manual. It is a Hyundai Accent 2006.
Thats why you suck at it then its a front wheel drive so its much harder to kick the backend out
I got in a really bad accident yesterday because of the rain. I totaled my car in the highway. Seat belt saved my life. Thought I was dead.
Very simple step by step process on what to do in a hydroplane. Trust me I speak from experience.
Step 1: Don't hydroplane to begin with and you won't have any problems.
You can't get yourself out of a hydroplane once you've started. The only thing you can do is point in the direction of where you want to be going, and hope you regain control in time before you hit anything.
Turn the wheel and slam the brakes.
Thats what I did and I went right off the side of an off ramp. Car didnt flip though.
Aaron Ries Well then you weren't going fast enough.
I didn't want to flip. I love my 35 year old convertible. Also It's a convertible soooo..... I wouldn't have an upper part of a body
just throw your seat out the window and lay down because that is how it works
X Lightning ejecto seato cuz
if you have a subaru, hydroplaning is nearly irelevent. whatever slippage you do have is like almost instantly. corrected i love it. tho that being said you still can't drive like an idiot tho.
Yep.. My moms 2013 Subaru Outback does not hydroplane..
maybe at slow speeds.. but if you hit a big puddle while on the highway going fast you will lose control no matter what.
Yall r correct symmetrical awd 👌
+adams1696 In my '99 Impreza at least; As long as you have control of the wheel, it will basically skip or plow through any puddle that won't swallow it, even at 70mph.
FCFordLord -overexaggerating
This video helps a ton 👌🏽
Hit me a moment ago. I took it like a boss, and kept going 85mph during the storm. Life is so fun ;D
why is this in my recommended
TRIPLEBROFIST M8 why not
Play GTA5 and practice hydroplaning
Trevor Phillips bb..but.. your name is trevor phillips..
More like GTA IV and you'll do a roleypoley lmao
Is the t500 rs good?
+Jase Wolf Not in a Sultan RS. The suspension is as hard as tits.
MrSupercar55 yea that's why when I want to go fast I will pick a Sultan RS or Futo or Blista or something, all fast in their own ways but then handling is brill lol
I love that 323 hatch.
I went back and forth and slowed down a bit. Worked for me in my 5.7
I wouldn't go over 60 km/h in heavy rain.
+SalveMonesvol Then you should not have a license.
+yamahaevo I respect minimum and maximum speeds. By traveling at 60km/h I reduce risks for myself and others.
+SalveMonesvol On most US roadways, 50km/h is slow enough for a ticket, even in a heavy downpour. That is half the speed limit on most roads.
+FCFordLord Of course I'll never go slower than 1/2 the speed limit, but if the limit is 70mph, I can go 35 without getting a ticket.
Going 60 km/h should be perfectly safe if you have good tyres. (I'll edit the original comment to 60, which is more reasonable, ty)
That's 37.28 mph. Sounds reasonable to me in heavy rain. Better safe than sorry and you would NOT get a ticket in the US for that in heavy rain. I go about 40 - 45 depending on the road. Never more than 50 mph on any wet road.
What a useless misleading video!
It begins with a point about road being most slippery at the beginning of the rain. This might be true, but the animated picture they show to illustrate it makes no sense: it actually illustrates hydroplaning. Why do they include a misleading picture of hydroplaning when they are talking about something that is not related to hydroplaning at all?
Then they start talking about the actual hydroplaning, and resort to describing it using a shoe, hand gestures and a bunch of barely descriptive photographs. Wha...??? Where is your animated hydroplaning picture now, which would be appropriate at this point and which is worth a thousand words (and shoes)? Most people have no idea how and why hydroplaning occurs, and your "shoe" explanation will not help them at all. Why didn't you prepare a simple animation of a car losing contact with the road and starting riding (planing) on water? That would indeed be useful.
thanks, I learned alot ✨
Nice discussion. But, The advice is mainly for FWD and RWD car. I wonder whether an 4WD system can prevent hydroplanning?
40 MPH on a wet highway?? WTF!!??? GTFO THE ROAD!!!! You're just gonna get rear ended. Unless you want insurance money, then, by all means, do 40 mph.
I'll drive 40 on the highway if its raining. And if you're stupid enough to rear end me, well..... looks like you'll be paying for my repairs bitch haha
brandonxzombie Actually, I'd probably be buying you a wheelchair or a casket, lol, but if that's what you want, then go for it.
And if it can be proven you were only doing 40 MPH in a 60 MPH zone, it could end up being your fault for obstructing traffic. It would have to be heavy rain with very low visibility to justify 40 mph, which would also greatly increase the odds of you getting rear ended. I love how that works. :)
And, generally, I just pass people like that, sometimes on the shoulder, if I have to. Then the guy tailgaiting me will rear end you because he won't see you in time, lol.
That is a classic scenario that plays out all the time, and I laugh every time somebody tells me it happened to them.
You do realize its a law to drive under the speed limit during heavy rain. To prevent crashes by dumb asses like you. Most cops don't enforce it, but its there, So hit me if you want, but i'm getting a new car paid for by you and you can go ahead and add a speeding ticket to the too. :)
brandonxzombie
The law is to drive the speed that conditions permit. Where people get confused is that speed varies greatly with the type of vehicle, condition of the vehicle, and the driver.
And tires are the biggest factor, for example, in the past I've use a Yokohama tire which has sections of water channels exceeding 1/2" wide. Almost no other street tire can match that, and the performance will vary accordingly.
And, hey, If I'm dumb enough to rear end somebody, I deserve whatever I get. I'll be the first to admit that.
But, I also don't feel a bit sorry for people who should not be on the road in the first place.
Somebody *will* rear end you, and it will probably be an uninsured Mexican national. Good luck with that.
+brandonxzombie If you drive 40 in a 60MPH zone while raining in anything less than a tropical storm;
1; Have your hazards on
2; Be prepared to be pulled over. Expect a warning at minimum, however anything more than 15 usually warrents an obstructing traffic charge.
You and your automobile should be able to handle the speed limit in any condition where visibility is not comprimised, that includes 55-75mph in a heavy downpour.
@idontlikecops1 It's a mitsubishi lancer oz rally. tell me whats rice about it? it looks to me like stock. no body kits or anything like that just some vinyls.
@AndromechA...Very scary, my dad and I had that experience, thank God we ended up in the median and the car didn't flip over
What if you're Canadian and you don't have a US penny? What to use instead of Lincolns head for reference?
