      Hey man, i can't visit the link you provided. I know i can't afford but i really like it and it would be amazing to have such powerful air rifle even in time of protecting the house against outside disturbance. Even if i can't have even the cheapest one, i would still like to know the maximum range of the rifle with the accuracy. Also if possible i like to watch how it is made or how the mechanism workes in detail, in animation. Knowing may somehow ease my desire for this rifle.

      @whistlingcanine1098 8 лет назад +1

      +JoeDurobot I recently did this with a 10mm and got basically the same results.. It wouldn't go thru both sides.. Same with AR.. Most times it wouldn't go 'clean' thru. Only on of the calibers that were avail to us that day was the 7.62x39 that would go clean thru on most shots..

    • @whistlingcanine1098
      @whistlingcanine1098 8 лет назад +2

      +CornHubPremium No we didn't have an .06, or 308 that day.. I don't have any doubts that they would penetrate with the majority of the shots, tho.. We didn't have any of the 62gr green tip, we used 55gr for the AR.. 123gr Russian for the AK. AK would penetrate about 50% of the time.. AR maybe 1 out of 10. Thanks..

      +TCArmory Thanks! Believe it or not, I get asked quite frequently, but outdoor and shooting shows don't work the way you'd think. The networks don't produce the content- they sell you time for your show, then you're responsible for making it, paying all of the production costs, and selling your own advertising. Larry Vickers got out of television because every time you start to succeed, the network cranks up their share of your advertising. So, the network keeps earning more and more money, and you're just left spinning your wheels. I always tell them I'd be willing to work for a salary, but none are interested.

    I've always said that I think hunting deer-sized game with an airgun is an unethical stunt, and with the vast majority of airguns (pretty much all of them) it is. After looking at the ballistic charts, however, I'm happy to say that the Texan is easily capable of making clean kills at handgun hunting ranges. I'm still not a huge fan of PCP airguns, preferring the breakbarrel & underlever models instead, but this one's pretty sweet!

    • @richardstromberg5521
      @richardstromberg5521 5 лет назад

      Break barrel moves when shot.... pcp is used in 100 yards competition with 1 inch targets..... but pcp are a pain to fill.... check out the FX Independence. ...in .30 cal.

    • @youknoweverything7643
      @youknoweverything7643 2 года назад

      Pcp and break barrels almost every gun can ethically kill a deer as long as you are using 22 or bigger pellets. I got a 22 break barrel and I can shoot a deer in the lungs heart or head and drop it I never had a deer run away and suffer using 22 break barrel pellet gun. They all have dropped instantly or the nerves caused them to run 30 feet or so abd drop and I took 4 nice size 200 lb plus bucks last year with it at 1480 fps. Heck even a 1200 fps .177 hallow point or those gammo max pointed pellets can kill a deer etically with a good head shot into the ear lol

    You need a hundred permits and licenses to buy a firearm where I live, but NOTHING to buy an air rifle. That's because the law, which is ancient and is still from the 30's, assumes air rifles are harmless toys.

      Wow that sucks - where do you live? You´re from Hungary, right? Just been there a month ago, in Siófok and went shooting to Somogyaszaló several times, they have a superb shooting range. I´m from Czech republic and we have a 16 Joule limit on airguns. That´s just good enough for hunting rabbits (which is forbidden here). But Austria is just next door and they have no limit on the energy of airguns under 6 mm so at least one can get some decent .22 with 40-60 Joules there... just to mention, no too far from Hungary ;-)

      Yes deer sometimes run after being shot they also drop where they stood or keep grazing like nothing happened as the bleed out, a pass through could happen that's why a person must be aware of what is beyond the target. I don't live in a highly populated area the city average is 5 homes per square block.

      ME Videos productions I actually discussed doing this, but the tenuous political position of large bore airguns was explained to me. The airgun industry as a whole does not want airguns portrayed as weapons to be used against people for fear that they would be regulated as firearms in more locations than the few that already do. So, no body armor tests with airguns on my channel for the time being. Great idea, though.

      +TWANGnBANG so I'm assuming since you said that it was a 405 grain bullet it's a .458 caliber using 45-70 cast bullets? what velocities were you getting, and how's the accuracy? thanks!

      +TWANGnBANG i just did the math, and if I'm right, if it's as powerful as a standard 45 colt load it should be going around 670 fps. in sure i could Google the manufacturer and find out but chatting about ballistics is more fun. if that's the correct speed that's impressive for such a heavy bullet fired from an air gun. no wonder you only get 3 shots per tank

Id target shoot all day in my basement and got so good i could shoot the flame off a candle...it was a great time and was a huge help in developing my accuracy and skills handling firearms.

    I don't think you can call a 405 grain .45 solid lead bullet a "pellet" with any intellectual honesty. Perhaps "air-driven, explosive-free projectile", but not "pellet". Wow. Airguns. You can save your cartridges for a rainy day and develop all the skills you need at a fraction of the cost.I am sure the thought has occurred to more than one European that if the skillset is there, once the weapon is acquired, the learning curve will be much shorter.I like to point out that the action of a spring piston airgun mimics the action of a Barrett .50 M107 and that the same hold and firing technique apply to both guns - so, practicing with a Benjamin Trail NP XL 1100 at $.02 per .22 pellet will improve your results with the big boy when you can afford to shoot some $5 bills.

Here in Penna. back in the old days, we had what we call coal cellers for what we used fore storeing our coal for the winter months. Next to that was a basement, long basement the lenght of the house we lived in. ( cold,but warm enought to keep canned goods in,during the winter). Back in the day son, you could fire a shotgun in the basement and No one would hear it outside ! But I would'nt recomend that in this day 'en age...., Being 63+, I learned alot, seen alot and done a lot in my time. Don't let the Name fool ya son...., I'm OLD School been arround seen every thing I want to see, buy never forget anything. Be Careful,stay safe you hear........LML.

      LindaMarie Linkhauer I could understand not firing a shotgun in a place thats solid stone concrete, or cement. But, here it isn't particularly cold here, always in the high 90's during summer, and 50 degree winters. Otherwise, I just want to move out of this place and get actual rights. Right to own folding stocks, Supressors, magazines that arent 10 rounds, Actual magazine releases, .50bmg's, just Anything. We couldn't own any of what I mentioned, Including Spas-12, TEC-9, And many other features an AR can have. Oh and not to mention, we can hardly even carry a little .25acp or .380 on us.

    Could a sealed helium stirling piston generate liquid atmosphere to fill a bottle with a frequency emitter to cause the liquid atmosphere to vaporize and presurize the bottle in order to provide compressed air to fire this rifle? A self filling pressurized air rifle would be neat to have? Ypu could even make ceramic rounds rather then use lead rounds.
