a moon shaped pool is the most consistent #4 atm but i imagine as time passes people will realize that just because it is new does not mean it is automatically below the other 3 masterpieces

I really think the general sentiment against it was because it was underwhelming for fans who waited long for a follow up to In Rainbows.

Goodness, so hard to rank these albums. I’ll give it a go(from worst to best)
Pablo Honey
* my opinion on this one is no different than most of the fan base. Not a bad album, just not my cup of tea and they haven’t grown into their sound yet.
Amnesiac
* Haven’t listened much to this one so may need some time to digest)
The Bends
* no hate for this one. definitely a big step up from PH, there’s just better albums later in their career imo.
TKOL
* I actually like this one, but the basement performance saves the album version tbh. More experimental and I like many of the grooves.
HTTT
* Been coming back around to this one lately and keep running into songs from it that are so good but I forgot existed. The length impacts the ranking, but still a solid record. 2 + 2= 5 might be their best opener too.
OK Computer
* Fantastic one as we all know, but not my personal fave like Stemp. I tend to favor their later sound more, but I really appreciate the quality throughout this album. I don’t have the nostalgia for it like some do. Just some of the songs don’t quite hit for me.
Kid A
* An innovative record. The only song I don’t really like is National Anthem, which a lot of fans love but is too chaotic and repetitive for me. The rest I very much enjoy, even Treefingers.
In Rainbows
* Simply outstanding. A solid listening experience all the way through. Sometimes I’m not in the mood to listen all the way through but there’s always a song to enjoy regardless of mood. Imo this is where they perfected the balance between their acoustic/electronic sound.
AMSP
* Have to agree with Stemp on this one. This record felt like the closing of the chapter that began with Kid A. Love the lush instrumentation and understated but beautiful nature of it. Def meant to be listened all the way through, it’s best experienced as a full album.

We know the miniature is clickbait cause putting pablo honey on S above every other album
Speaking on Amnesiac, I have to say I really can’t believe they scrapped the version of “True Love Waits” that “Pulk/Pull” spawned from. It’s probably one of the best songs from either Kid A or Amnesiac, and would have been _perfect_ on the latter, and they just didn’t release it. It actually makes the released version of “Pulk/Pull” a far lesser track in my eyes.
Anyway, for me it’s Kid A and In Rainbows tied in S tier, OK Computer and Hail to the Thief in A, Amnesiac and The Bends in B, The King of Limbs in C, and Pablo Honey taking that big D. A Moon Shaped Pool, I have to listen to more, but it’s hovering around low-A to high-B.
EDIT: A Moon Shaped Pool is at the top of my A-tier now.
I think that at the time, True Love Waits had missed it's chance. It could only cohesively go on The Bends or A Moon-Shaped Pool, MAYBE In Rainbows, but that's a bit of a stretch.

@@haha_hollie yes, sorry, I just prefer all of these over packt. And honestly I did try to work it in but it didn't fit anywhere except at the beginning of the album, only issue was I thought cuttooth was a better way to start the album and I thought it also only worked as a start to the album. So I basically had to not include it.

@@Stemp Yes. I like them at their best when they’re fully leaning into warm organic sounds or cold artificial ones. The Bends and Amnesiac fit those extremes. I tend to gravitate towards more emotional intimate music so The Bends edges Amnesiac out. The middle section of this ranking shouldn’t be controversial. Hail To The Thief I only put at the bottom cause it feels sort of redundant for them. It’s a bit too long and it’s basically like a highlight reel of their sound rather than anything pushing them forward artistically. Pablo Honey is over hated in relation to the rest of their discography. It’s a solid distillation of the sounds of the time from grunge to britpop to R.E.M. style alt rock.
I dont think any reputable critic would put the enormous the bends as a b tier album.
Nah I get Ok Computer not being S tier I would say it’s A tier too but In Rainbows not being S is a crime lol but everything else I agree with. Good video!

Controversial opinion: In Rainbows is overrated. Don't get me wrong, some good tracks on it, but a lot of it sounds samey and I really don't care for the middle of this album, yes, Reckoner and House of Cards included, and even Jigsaw Falling Into Place.... meh.
