Very nice elevator with the glass shaft, yes it does have a fast FPM for seven floors. I looked at the roping 1:1 it might be a gear-less machine as to the higher speed. Geared machines were more common in low to mid rise buildings under 20-22 floors, in recent years smaller footprint gear-less machines overhead have made the inroads.

Do you know why it makes that amazing beautiful hum from motor when going down but not up

@@hariranormal5584 I replayed the video, I could hear a different pitch between the machine ascending, then descending "with the motor hum" Might be related to the type of motor the machine has a PM or induction field and the VFVV or more common VFD motor controller. I know there is an issue with harmonics with DC traction machines where the MG sets have been replaced with DC drives. I am assuming this elevator in the video is a three phase 400V or higher controller.

Wow amazing, I love these lifts with amazing motor sounds. It's not like ALL lifts of the same model have it, Heritage Elevators also uploaded a video on a Kone Monospace in Oslo Airport i believe, that also had amazing sounds when the motor would move :p
