i love the sound of the paternoster . it reminds from when i was 18 years old and worked in a building with a paternoster . that is in Bremen Germany . and now i live in Canada .
That's quite a suprise. A brand new lift behind original shaft doors. The interiour is not too bad, it's in a color you don't see very often. A bit odd that the panel still says 1963, I'll bet the only original things they've used are the shaft doors. What's that strange door in the basement with the sound of running water? It looks like a vault of some sort.
dykodesigns2yt Most of the elevators are original. There are only new fixtures, Innerdoors, New controllers and a VF-Omitter for the motor. The motor itself, with the cab and the shaft doors, are original!
I see your camera is suffering from the frequency difference. It may be because your camera uses the US 60 Hz, and you're filming in Europe, where the frequency is 50 Hz. That explains the flickering in the lights.
Ha 😜 I actually rode my first (& only) paternoster-lift past the top floor the very first time I tried it ❗ I didn't know what would happen, but I was a young 20 year old (and at that age you always feel invincible, right)? 😉 -I thought to myself..."they *must* have some safety system, right ? 😕☺😛 -Well, and if NOT....I'm in a hospital anyway 😄 (Like I said...youngsters are not really very smart) 😉 (Btw. it was in the Ullevaal hospital -wich no longer exists). (And therefore neither does the lift). -I'm not sure they'd be allowed nowadays ?? (This was in 1988)
@@karlbark not all youngsters even toddler not smart, its depends how old are them... because there are a lot youngers who have old age, its mean they are from reinkarnation or from their previous life so i think they still have many knowledge and sense...

Wonderful video after 2 months ! These paternosters are our older mechanical heritages, this is nice that they kept it !

9:00 Nämnde de mitt namn? Har mina nyheter nått till Norge? O_o
Nice! I wonder if a modern Kone would work at all without inner doors !
if someone took the doors out it wouldnt work because of safety reasons

Were the freight and passenger elevators added or they were always there
Was it easy to go see this paternoster lift? Did you have to contact them in advance?
It was quite easy. I'm not sure if the paternoster is in use anymore.
@@HeritageElevators I have sent the building manager an email to inquire about whether they are still there.
